  1. Basically luminators suck, use lamps and you will get better lighting, in saying that you have a really high ceiling, so even lamps may not light the floor enough
  2. From what version.... what happens when you run it... did you look at the conversion threads if you're upgrading from 2.x... what errors do you see on server startup... seriously.... try to give us some useful information. Even your thread title is ambiguous
  3. You use Redpower retrievers and connect them to the same pipe that feeds into the MFSU and put a empty Lapotron in one and a full one in the other so they only pull those. You can also make the charging end a MkIII charging bench with overclockers to cycle through them faster and use a sorting machine at the other end to separate the lapotrons out to multiple MFSUs You can also use a charging bench at the end to be charged as long as you feed it a redstone current, however it doesn't look like overclockers work at that end to drain the lapotrons faster
  4. It depends on the machine, how long you plan to run it/them, what storage you have, and if you have added overclockers etc to the machine. In short, start with a batbox, attach some solar panels and start storing power, connect up machines. Try to store enough power in the day to get you through the night
  5. teleport pipe in one frequency, standard pipe of the correct type, another teleport pipe on another freq and then daisy chain them up until you get the distance you need
  6. Are you talking about power teleport pipes, or item teleport pipes? If power, you'll have to either setup relay stations every 100 blocks or so and use dimensional anchors or world anchors to keep them loaded. If item teleport pipes then there isn't any loss, you just have to make sure both chunks are loaded all the time with the same anchors as above
  7. The most likely reason is no one has ported it to SMP
  8. You're losing it all in the copper cables, as above. Personally I'd just drop some transformer upgrades in my machines, then run everything at HV and use only glass fibre cables. Transform down to LV for the energy link or it'll empty your MFSU pretty much immediately
  9. Wow, read the stickies, it's not a java problem. You need to manually download the right minecraft.jar
  10. The only other thing is that you don't say how long that tin cable is, over 40 blocks and you're losing 1EU/t, which would probably be half your power normally, over 80 and you'd lose pretty much all of it unless a storm was blowing. You also want to spread the windmills out a little more as said above
  11. For 1 you need to tell MultiInv that those two worlds share inventory. Can't remember how to do it since MV screws up so badly I removed it, but thats exactly what MultiInv is designed to do
  12. Yup, find a version that works on 1.2.5, not the latest version
  13. Mk2 tables should never "fill up" if you're using redpower. I have made multiple HV solar panel factories and each ran from a single timer. The most a table should accept is 9 stacks of any single material, Maybe a picture of your setup would help in working out whats going wrong? You're not trying to insert materials into the top of the table by chance?
  14. depending on exactly how you set them up, they most likely DID run out of water, this can be for a number of reasons but the most common are that your pump in in a seperate chunk and thats being unloaded, or that your pipes can't carry enough water to the engine itself (gold waterproof pipes carry 4 times more water than stone)
  15. The major mods have "fake" users so they can perform block breaks and a number of other things. You either need to give them permissions in groupmanager to allow them to do these things, or just "op" them The users are called [buildcraft], [Redpower], [inductrialcraft] with the square brackets
  16. Multiverse breaks a lot of things in Tekkit. Specifically orientation of machines, a lot of EE things only work on the primary world and general weirdness. Your only real option is to live with the issues, or not run MV and wait until 1.4, which should allow the mod API to deal with all this and it should "just work"
  17. What everyone is trying to say, is what do you expect it to say after that? The server is up and running (at least it appears to be) so nothing else will be displayed in the console until someone connects
  18. Your world is corrupt. Making a new world will fix it, but it's a bit extreme. Load up the world in MCEdit and let it fix any errors it finds, then start your server
  19. If you use anything more than a batbox, you'll also want to transform it down to LV before it gets to the energy link to limit how quickly it pulls power
  20. Have you tried downloading the server again, just to make sure you don't have a corrupt download? That's about the only other thing I can think of. Technic may be remembering the the old java version, although as long as java is in your path I would expect it to still work, reinstall that too maybe
  21. If you're using the java in Program Files (x86) it means you're using 32bit java. With that you can't allocate more than 1.5GB anyway. Install 64bit java, make sure that's whats used to launch the server and see how you go
  22. You don't need any wooden pipes on the quarry. Yo don't "pull" power from a teleport pipe so connecting it straight to a gold pipe will work. But I don't think thats your problem. I would suggest dropping a steam engine on the quarry and seeing if it works, then you know it's something to do with the power and can work your way back. (loaded chunk, distance too far for teleport power pipes and they lose too much etc etc)
  23. That's also the classic error of a corrupt world, the iron shovel may just be a symptom. Run your world through Chunkster of MCEdit
  24. 1. Don't bump 2. Do you get any errors when you start your server with this (you should do), posting that error would have helped. 3. You need to put ' s around the [buildCraft] like this '[buildCraft]'
  25. unless you put it in code tags or to somewhere like pastebin you'll lose all the spacing, so no one can tell you if it's right, also, I assume it's not right and you're getting an error? If so, that error would be helpful
