  1. Also, an LV transformer would still be tier 1, but it'll transform up to MV. With enough batboxes in parallel it'd probably work pretty well, but you'd have to be careful of the copper wire losses
  2. What OS are you running under? The only thing I can think of that may cause this is a permission issue that stops the server updating the players profile when they log out
  3. On my tests I can also use the top, I just never have, makes for messier piping :)
  4. Why the wooden pipe at the quarry end? As far as I know you don't need to "pull" power from a teleport pipe, a gold pipe there should work
  5. What happens if the pipe is connected to the side? Thats the way I've always used quarries, didn't even know you were supposed to use the top
  6. You don't need to remove it, you can happily run both at once, just install 64bit
  7. It must be, the 1536 limit is a classic indication you're running 32 bit Java. 32bit Java still runs perfectly happily in a 64bit OS so your OS is no indication. 32bit Java installs in Program Files (x86) 64 bit Java installs in just Program Files
  8. Nope, it appears to be a bug, if you use a wooden and gold pipe between the energy link and the pump it works, without it doesn't. Oddly this is only the case in SMP, singleplayer is supposedly ok
  9. 1) bumping is not allowed 2) Give us some more info, how are you trying to power it, what does it do (does it build it's frame?). Even better post a screenshot
  10. You aren't using 64bit Java, even if you have it installed tekkit is running with 32bit (that's why 1536MB is the max memory you can select). Uninstall your 32bit java and try again
  11. 1) It has dots because it's been painted, you can paint wires different colors and they won't connect when they otherwise would, but as far as that picture it's not actually being used (perhaps outside the picture?) 2) No, no need, if anything that causes the CPU more work, perhaps they thought transformers don't output on all sides if the input is the 3 dotted side, but they do 3) I can't see any redstone lines to or from it so they are worthless, unless they are trying to stop losses or something, but it doesn't appear they have enough glass fibre cable for that to be an issue 4) Yup, if you're already at LV, you don't need another, unless he's using it to go back up to MV
  12. Sorry, can't help without the log file, even if you haven't changed any config simply because it isn't working means there will more than likely be errors in your log. Those errors will give at least some idea whats wrong, but since you don't want to post the log I can't suggest anything else. It may be as simple as the version of groupmanager doesn't work with tekkit and you need a newer/older one. It may be your download is somehow corrupt, in all the cases I can think of the log will contain errors of some sort
  13. You'll likely be getting errors when the server starts and groupmanager tries to load. They will likely tell you you've got some formatting errors in your permission files but without seeing them it's impossible to tell
  14. Groupmanager does work, I'm using it on multiple servers. Perhaps you may want to include some more information. Maybe the errors you get when you start the server, perhaps versions of groupmanager and tekkit, what chat plugin you're using (since that's the only way you'll get chat prefixes)
  15. Also, a Macerator isn't a redpower machine
  16. Weird, really weird. Energy links convert from EU to BC power, so your redstone engines aren't actually powering anything. Course that shouldn't be the cause of the problem and I've no idea what could be.
  17. The log says _Java_ is 32bit, that doesn't mean the OS is. If the OS is 64bit it may be as easy as installing 64 bit Java and it'll work
  18. If you have a 64 bit OS< then you need to install a 64 bit version of Java too.
  19. Have you pressed the options button in the launcher and allocated more memory from there as Jorcer mentioned? If so, what have you set it too?
  20. Well, it's out of memory. It's more likely that your system doesn't have enough free memory to even allocate the default amount, so if anything increasing it under options would be worse. Try lowering the memory under options to the minimum, it'd also be useful to know how much memory your system has and if it's 32bit or 64bit
  21. More pictures of how the reactor is connected to the MFSU might be useful here, also some more light :)
  22. 32 bit OS's can only use up to 4GB, but even that is tough and depending on your exact specs your OS may only be able to see 3-3.5GB. If you're on windows you're then further limited to kernel and userspace splits, which, again on windows is usually right down the middle, hence the 1.5GB usable. All of these issues disappear when you use a 64bit OS, which is the only way to access more of the memory
  23. You either already have a server running (check task manager for java.exe and kill the process if it's there), or you've entered an server ip in server.properties that isn't actually the IP address of the computer you're trying to start this on
  24. Wouldn't it be easier and more reliable to just setup a server since these two machines are on the same network?
  25. You have tabs in globalgroups.yml, remove them and replace them with spaces. Seemingly from the error, the first one is on line 75
