I personally like the basic fight to the death strategy games such as AOE and EE(Although EE3 was a but of a letdown). Sins Of A Solar Empire has got to be my favourite space orientated game, anyone else played that one?

If you can login fine with 3.1.2 then it's a 3.1.2 server. Don't argue with it, it's a fact. No other server version would allow you to log on with Tekkit 3.1.2. Try redownloading the 3.1.3 server.

I didn't watch a Yogscast video until about Minecraft 1.2.5 came out. I got Minecraft at 1.3 Beta. They're not totally necessary to watch if you like Minecraft, and not everyone likes them. You shouldn't really be surprised if a guy who's not a kid has never seen their videos, it probably just means he has a life which he doesn't want to spend watching videos for kids :)

Technic has a development build for Minecraft 1.4.2 if you're interested. Unfortunately, there are no servers yet though.

Octo, this is a 1.4.2 version of what Tekkit uses. It's not a temporary fix/fake copy or anything, this is the real thing.

I'm fairly sure that the Technic Launcher can run Java 7, since that's what I use. might have been something else stopping your launcher from working.

Looks like you cut the error report short there, can you post the whole log so we can see everything that it did?

I was thinking of the custom map, not one of those random plugin ones where you just run around and make a little fort and stuff. Also, i don't seem to have access to the TBR modpack. Can you double check you whitelisted me for it please?

We do? I was thinking of the retro version where you just respawn in the middle etc., not a plugin version. We could add in Balkon's Weaponmod to make things more interesting too, if we wanted to.

Just read the posts. You need your client to be the same version of Tekkit as the server. I already explained how to do that, so just find the right version.

Have you ever thought of running a few event maps on the TBR server? We would probably have enough people to play games like Survival Games if we gave everyone advance warning and put it on the weekend :)

You need to go into Options in the Technic Launcher, then in Select Modpack Build, select the Latest version.

*Facepalm* Did you not read the last post then? You need to redownload the server again. Not the client, it's not a client issue. Read the previous posts, people... You need to download the newer server to play with the newer Tekkit. UPDATE YOUR SERVERS. Also, Sertas, it might be an idea to stop signing your posts since it's against the rules of the Forums.

You do the exact same thing as you did originally, just with the newer server. You can put the world file into your new server too, though.

You need to update your server manually.
