You seem to misunderstand - you don't make a nuclear reactor to provide masses of power, you make a nuclear reactor for the hell of it, then experiment with what you can do without it exploding. Trivial details such as actually using the power are irrelevant. Who needs power when you can have a highly unstable and explosive machine to experiment with and possibly destroy your world with everything you worked for?

CHEAP, refined, quantum armor killing machine
theprolo replied to gavjenks's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Well if you know where it is you can just destroy it. Not too hard, really. -
You need the transformer directly attached onto the reactor, then HV or even Glass Fibre cable going off that.

I think the most important thing is the removal of the condenser. Sure it's handy, but in truth it's the cause of all the problems. While energy collectors can create free energy, they at least cost a lot to make at any sort of speed. Cheaper and more effective cross-mod dupes are one of the worst things about EE2. However, both are nothing without the Condensor. I can't say I'll be all that sorry to see it go really, as long as the transmutation tablet stays. It's a lot fairer, can't be automated(to my knowledge at least), and can't generate free EMC. It's learning is also pretty nice, so in all it's far more balanced than before. Without free energy, EE becomes some awesome yet hard to obtain items, and the ability to simply go "oh, I don't have enough of x material, but I have plenty of y material, I'll swap y for x at a fair rate". Quite simply, it does exactly what it says on the tin - exchange equivalently. Very useful and convenient if used properly, which is why I like it.

Have you tried just making it 140? That might make it automatically do all the ores with colons in their ID. Worth a try, since I think there are some mods which do that.

minecraft crashes when loading tekkit
theprolo replied to ethixz's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Ah, my apologies ethixz, I didn't realise. My mistake, contradicting you like that and giving you correct information. Rather silly of me really. Won't happen again. -

No need to get so defensive. I'm merely pointing you in the direction of the correct forum. Now instead of complaining that you made a mistake, how about you just go "Ok, my mistake" and post in the right place. It's much better for everyone and is more likely to get you an answer to your problem. -

Look slightly below the Tekkit forum. Just a few centimetres. Yes, that's the bugs forum. I wonder where bugs are meant to go... -
You need to press "submit a bug report" to post in the bugs section.

Question regarding EU management
theprolo replied to dragonfire967's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Like I said, I forgot the cable which stops power going through. The name splitter always did confuse me... the sensor kit won't actually do anything for him, since it needs an industrial information panel.CCsensors would work better, but I'm not sure that that would have much use either. Anyway, the fence depends on the amount of power you have. Like Kort said, the HV cable and Tesla Coils are your best options. Tesla costs less to run, but the HV looks more awesome. Just judge it by the power generation. -
can some one help me to make a tekkit server nothing works
theprolo replied to ninja85a's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
And also what happened when you did it. Saying "omg mi server don't wrk fix it rndom ppl on internet!" Isn't very helpful unless you tell us what is actually happening. Does it launch, can you connect, can other people connect etc. are all things which could help, so try one of them, otherwise we won't be able to find out what's wrong with it. -
Question regarding EU management
theprolo replied to dragonfire967's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
I'm fairly sure that there are plugins which prevent people who aren't admin from entering an area, try using that. Greifers will find a way to get through unless you make it absolutely impossible from an admin level. -
Question regarding EU management
theprolo replied to dragonfire967's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
There's a special cable which does that, can't remember what it was called though. Just don't try powering the MFFS, that won't do anything. You could also allocate them a certain amount of power based on how much they pay you - that would be a nice idea. Perhaps 5 coal a day for a Batbox of power which is restocked at the end of every day. You could also do advance payments using Filters which take the 5 coal out of a chest every day until nothing comes through the tube(check with an item detector), so they don't have to give you the 5 coal every single MC day. -
Try using the search bar to find information on Nvidia Graphics Card Lag then, they can really cause problems if you don't sort them out. After getting mine to work properly, I got over 100fps.

RedPower problem, blocks coming out black?
theprolo replied to Cdmitchell's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Have you tried Smooth Lighting? It sometimes fixes graphical bugs with lighting. -
Wouldn't happen to be something to do with a Nvidia graphics card would it? Oh, and have you ever heard of the edit button? It's very useful, you know.
-
Does it tell you what lock the transmutation tablet is in at the top?
-
You need to remove all the EMC in the tablet to remove the lock(Currently on fuel mode). Try a Klein star.
-
Don't worry, I jumped into a pool and mined diamonds.
-
Yay, I can have half an hour on the server! Then not be able to go on for 5 days! Oh well :P
-
Don't worry about it, just ignore it. It'll go away.
-
Try the edit button mate, I'd hate to see you get warned after making something this, it's a pretty useful program.

Unpleasant News For The Future Of Tekkit
theprolo replied to jakj's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
That doesn't actually have that much to do with this topic. This is about the Forge compatibility with Bukkit, not when Bukkit will be updated.
