Did you disable world anchors and world anchor carts?
-
Something was corrupted when the power went out, probably the map. Redownloading tekkit.jar and all your plugins might help too.

In need of someone to take over server hosting and running...
D3matt replied to joeSHMO8347's topic in Server Op Swap Shop
Not to be rude or anything, but... Why would somebody want to take over hosting and running your server? -
No, you cannot get the password from a session key. Session keys are randomly generated when you log in (to Mojang) and are unrelated to the password beyond the fact that you need your password to get one. It's possible they are all using some rogue client or other software that's stealing their passwords, or they all just have weak passwords.
-
No, it is not possible for a minecraft server to harvest usernames and passwords, because you don't authenticate with the server. You authenticate with Mojang's login servers, which then exchange session keys with the minecraft server. If they are getting their accounts stolen, its their fault, not yours.

I see no reason why that won't run a (small) tekkit server, honestly. I've run tekkit on dual 2.4GHz Pentium-4 era Xeons and 1GB of RAM. It was a little slow because of the RAM, but 1.5GB would've been sufficient. People underestimate Pentium 4s.

Add the items you want protected to the config.
-
Nope. You need VPS at the very minimum, minecraft is not a web app.

Server lag / line of chunks when u walk in u get stuck can't move
D3matt replied to Shakez's question in Tekkit Classic
I disagree. 20mbps for 10 people is lol-worthy. If anything it sounds like there's too much stuff going on in this area for the server to handle. Is the server's RAM or CPU overloaded? -
Why not give idiots what they apparently need?

You're letting the immaturity of a vocal minority get to you. Why? -

I love Tekkit, but I laugh at the people trying to pretend there's a good community going here. I don't see how people not wanting to use a modpack that (to the best of their knowledge) doesn't have permission makes them idiots, for example. The elitists who think they're cool beans for installing mods by hand can stay the hell away, but what about otherwise intelligent people who simply aren't aware that technic now has permissions? -
How to make a LOCAL WI FI server.
D3matt replied to SpiritOfDeath's topic in Tekkit Classic Discussion
Using hamachi for a local network WILL NOT work very well, and is not an easier way for this or anything else. There are literally like 3 steps: Download tekkit server. Run launch.bat. Open command prompt and type ipconfig to get the server's local IP. Connect to this IP with tekkit client. Fine, 4 steps. But still not difficult. -
Sounds like your client has different IDs than the server. Have you tried actually mining/crafting them to verify that they are in fact machine blocks and not just clay that appears to be machine blocks?
-
That's... Very strange. Definitely a bug. Can you reproduce it with another pump elsewhere on that server (or on a different server)?

Program is not recognized as an internal or external blah blah
D3matt replied to jersey22's question in Tekkit Classic
Why do you have that junk at the beginning before the java path? Take that out. Make it look like this: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -jar -Xmx1g -Xms1g tekkit.jar Include the quotes. Don't include anything else. -
Which I will do. But there's been no mention of this bug ANYWHERE on the internet as far as I can tell, so I figured it would helpful to post it here. There's a thread right below this one that's about BUKKIT PLUGINS and not even remotely related to tekkit and I don't see you telling him off for posting it here.
-
And...? There are plenty of other bug threads that are to do with specific mods, and there are fixes for some of them posted.

my port forwarded tekkit server wont let my friends on.

Your problem is you're using Hamachi. -

Are you, by any chance, mad brother?

There's no way these people are serious. I mean, it's just... Seriously? God preached against socialism and Obama now, did he? Funny, I think Jesus did some pretty socialist things in his time (giving to the poor is distinctly socialist, at least by these whackjobs' standards). I'm not even sure how anybody could be dumb enough to think that the everyman building things is un-american and socialist. I... Wow, did I really type that much about these idiots? Back to laughing. Apparently, I am dumb: http://goarticles.com/article/Landover-Baptist-Church-It-s-a-Parody-folks/1483502/

I'm curious as to what strange plugins this server has that doesn't let you /home or /spawn while moving. I've never heard of such a thing. What server is this on, btw?
