You should actually just put the custom zip URL and instructions in the Magecraft topic along with the regular download just to see what will happen. A few FTB fanboys will probably start crying with their "FTB IS SO MUCH BETTER" bs, but there's still a very small percentage of intelligent people around there.

They're not going to do that. Mojang isn't too keen on content-altering mods. The only things they ever integrated is Smooth Lighting, McRegion and some useless stuff. They wanted to include Optifine as well, but the author of Optifine refused. No idea why. I guess he really does care all that much about his adf.ly 0.005 pennies.

No. Just no. The client will run horribly slow and get the mother of all lagspikes every 10 minutes if you allocate that much. 1536 MB is usually enough for the client, unless the client is also opening to LAN.

Manually add Railcraft. Really, the Dimensional Anchor is the only Chunk Loader which works properly, and then it doesn't work on frames.

Yeah, I had no problem understanding it. You just select a base modpack or a blank slate modpack to build on and replace and/or add files.

Technic doesn't support the demo. You'll just have to buy a minecraft account.

Check task manager processes and look if there's another instance of java.exe even after all Minecraft stuff is closed. If there is, terminate it.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing about Vanilla Emerald Ore not spawning. It's 1/40th as rare as diamonds, but I should've found it by now after these 2 stacks of diamonds.

You can't distribute Minecraft or small parts of it, but really, who cares? Even Forge does it, albeit with a few additions allowing mods to hook into Minecraft. Between friends who all have minecraft, it shouldn't be a problem. And why are you distributing minecraft.jar anyway? When using custom zips, you don't need to include anything in the bin folder apart from modpack.jar and perhaps WorldEdit.jar if it contains SPC. Both Vanilla and the blank slate modpacks (Which are essentially duplicates of vanilla) download only an empty modpack.jar and minecraft.

First of all, you should post a bug report about this. Second, what do you expect? MCPC is a beta project and is likely to be buggy.

The creator of GregTech is obviously an arrogant asshole who's just jumping on the bandwagon of hate. Funny thing is, most FTB players don't want it in the pack and the people who want it confuse "difficulty" with "tedium". I'm afraid every joke in the world is going to be one big letdown after this one. :smith:
