  1. I heard Mount and Blade: Warband was pretty good. I might pick it up once it goes on sale.
  2. They were nerfed because people started making huge-ass, maintenance-free power grids. I believe power now dissipates once it's inside machines, so the quarry will never save up enough energy to perform a single action because the energy dissipates too quickly.
  3. There's also still Redstone Energy Cells from Thermal Expansion which can act like a pipe-free intermediate battery. More costly, but it works. Would Conduits from Thermal Expansion work?
  4. Mods are never going to actually become a court case, since Mojang would be the "right" party. You're not actually supposed to redistribute parts of Minecraft, which is exactly what Forge does. Of course, no one really gives a damn. Who cares about legal issues in a game featuring virtual legos anyway? Some people just want to play the game and not worry about these "politicians" arguing over which flavor of ice cream is better.
  5. Yeah, and then they were added into IC2 and everyone laughed.
  6. Thanks for reading the rest of my post, where I said you need a diamond to make it private.
  7. How did you manage to find the semi-correct format for posting a server, but fail to post it in the "POST YOUR SERVER HERE" subforum where the format is located?
  8. That, and you'll need to replace the Minium Stones every once in a while. And Shards of Minium aren't too easy to come by. I think it was even planned that mobs spawned from mob spawners will not drop Shards. So you'd have to get the resources to make a Mystcraft Desert Eternal Night world if you want to come anywhere near mass-producing. And you'd still have to kill the monsters yourself. EE3 seems imbalanced in some aspects, but it's actually pretty okay.
  9. You can make more. Use a diamond on the chest "lock" (The yellow thing on the front) and instead of using the public spectrum, they will be linked to the player who opens them. Meaning that you get an additional 4096 colors to use, and no one else can access items in there.
  10. I'm pretty sure the Advanced Solars from GregTech are a different thing than the Advanced Solars mod.
  11. He means the actual Advanced Solars from GregTech. Not compact ones. Greg apparently hates people playing his mod. Oh well, his loss.
  12. Pumpkins grow in the wild.
  13. Try removing Essentials and Vault and see if it works.
  14. Fillers, MystCraft, Nukes, Mining Lasers and perhaps ComputerCraft Turtles. That's pretty much the only things you need to really ban.
  15. They don't spawn on top of you. They simply sneak up on you. Light up the area a bit more and look around every once in a while.
  16. Using /reload with ForgeBukkit is a really bad idea. Maybe that's your problem. Really, just try to isolate the problem. Does your server work when you install no plugins apart from Tekkit Restrict? If so, add in plugins one by one or two by two and isolate the problematic plugin(s).
  17. Do you want one toggle for all lamps, or individual toggles? If you want individual toggles, try screwing around with ComputerCraft's ability to output to certain colours in Bundled Cables.
  18. You install mods the same way you'd install them for regular Minecraft, but anything which goes into minecraft.jar (Stuff like Player API) now has to go into modpack.jar.
  19. It would probably be pretty evenly matched, in a realistic situation. Good luck hitting a guy bouncing around in Quantum. Good luck hitting a guy flying way up in the air in Gem. Sure, Quantum will run out of EU eventually, but it takes longer than you think. One of the two fighters is bound to get bored or has to leave long before the armor is depleted.
  20. The OP baffles me. At no point in any one of his posts did he make clear what his problem was. If he had a problem, he could've posted it instead of thinking mindless hate will get him anywhere. But I guess that's how idiots work.
  21. You could use MobDisguise, a Bukkit Plugin. It allows you to disguise yourself as another player. You need Spout installed, but only on the server. You won't see yourself any differently, but others will see you as another player. It can be any name you want, even nonexisting ones. But if the player you're disguising as has their own skin, you'll have their skin too. If the player doesn't exist, you'll have the default Steve skin.
  22. /tpx 0 would work better, as it will always return you to the Overworld spawn. And why remove Mystcraft? We've had this discussion before, it's a jar mod which means removing it would be a pain. Slightly less so because of modpack.jar, but still a pain. And why even remove it in the first place? It literally does nothing as of yet until you deliberately craft one of the items. If you don't want people using it when you're hosting a server, there's a config option for that. By the way, since Minecraft 1.3, Single Player and Multiplayer are kind of the same thing. Single Player hosts an internal server now.
  23. Tin would've been slightly more realistic.
  24. What it needs is config options instead of configuration through permissions.
  25. Actually, it's already sort-of on the front page. It pretty much says in the READ THESE RULES FIRST topic "Don't act like a dickbag or get out". It's probably not displayed as a huge Javascript alert box because this isn't SA or Explosm. The site needs to look non-hostile and at least a little bit professional.
