  1. Did you remember to put Forge in modpack.jar? Did you remember to use the right version? Did you upload your zip? Is it even a zip? Was modpack.jar in it? Was Forge in that modpack.jar? Is the zip setup correctly? Is modpack.jar present in your local folder? Which Forge version did you use? Do you even have any coremods or mods? Are you launching with the new Technic Launcher? Could you post your modpack zip? Too many questions? Too bad, this is what you get when you don't provide any details.

  4. So out of nowhere, a volcano appeared about 300 blocks from my base. I thought "Oh well", and continued doing my business as usual. However, when I started up my world today, another volcano had popped up WAY too close. Another 20 blocks and I'd have lost a portion of my base. I used some chunk resetting stuff to get the volcano away, and it worked. However, every time I load my world again, the volcano is back. Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

  6. For some reason, my friends are reporting the launcher can't download minecraft.jar. Did Minecraft get an update again causing the checksums to not match?
  7. I still like trading with Refined Iron more. You can actually get more currency without selling, and your currency is also usable in lots of other stuff.
  8. Why would you ever need 7 GB? In the most extreme cases, you'll only need about 2 GB. Adding more just slows Minecraft down. And actually, the limit for 64-bit operating systems is A LOT higher than 8 GB. As in, I'm pretty sure 1 TB(!) of RAM isn't even close to the limit.
  9. Voltz would definitely benefit from having at least RedPower's lighting and logic system. If all those machines which require Blutricity would work with UE, then it could be added in its entirety. I mean, you have all this high-tech stuff, and what do you launch your rockets with? Dust sprinkled on the ground. Computers would also be nice.
  10. That's weird. I guess due to technical limitations, since the command line parameter for heap size supports 1G and 2G and 4G and so on, but not 1,5G. It's 1536M, so maybe it was just too difficult to cram into the new launcher on such short notice. So why do you want to allocate more than 1 GB anyway? Unless you're going to run a LAN Server, 1 GB is usually enough. Are you running into any actual problems, or do you want to increase the size just because?
  11. It should allow up to 1,5 GB on 32-bit operating systems. 1,5 GB is basically the limit. Any higher will simply not work due to 32-bit restrictions.

  13. So now Technicpack.net is down, is there any way to use the system the old launcher used for custom modpacks? I have a link to a custom zip suitable for a Technic Launcher 1 installation, but is there any way to give it to my players? The platform URL is invalid if I paste it into "Add new modpack".

  16. There's been a mod in the latest versions of Technic and Tekkit Lite lately, which adds the ability to configure more options when opening to LAN. Such as able to bind to a specific IP, and setting the port, as well as slightly more admin options (Kicking and such). Now I wonder, what's the name of this mod? I'd like to use it in a custom modpack, and also in Voltz.
  17. Ohh, right. Completely forgot. Power Converters has been overhauled. To convert BC to IC2, you now need a BC Consumer, an Energy Bridge, and an IC2 LV/MV/HV/EV producer. It's pretty straightforward. Consumer is the input, Producer is the output. The Energy Bridge goes in between. If you're wondering what the Universal Charger does, it charges stuff in your inventory, including all your armor and tools.
  18. Most definitely. They're also really useful for copying setups like farms.
  19. Turtles need to be refueled, though. Not sure if that's done automatically in "excavate". Also, you'd need to have it drop off its items somehow. I have to say, I have no idea how those pre-processed programs like excavate work, I always just do the programming myself.

  22. Have you actually tested what happens when you add Mystcraft again? And what kind of error do you exactly get? Perhaps post a proper bug report.

  24. Once semi-working EMC and transmutation comes out, then yes. Otherwise, check some of the Minium Stone recipes involving Lapis.
