  1. There's two ways to exit. Either find a field of black blocks (Fabric of reality) and walk into it to get returned tens of thousands of blocks away (In an ocean, 9 out of 10 times, thanks to the flawed world generation), or you can find two pillars next to each other, similar to Dimensional Dungeon entrances in the overworld. The latter will return you thousands of blocks away instead of tens of thousands. Lesson learned: Always carry a Mystcraft linking book, or a rift signature + rift blade with the rift signature linked somewhere to your home.
  2. Blutricity wasn't meant to run a quarry efficiently without making huge setups. Especially not when you're going to use something like Thermopiles or Solar Panels.
  3. That's a bummer. Anyhow, I eventually ended up installing ForgeEssentials and replacing all the Basalt with Air. Turns out there's still regular terrain underneath, apart from trees and such.
  4. C# is okay, but dotnet is terrible and it should die in a hole.
  5. So I'm constantly being besieged by RedPower volcanoes, they keep appearing out of nowhere, and new ones constantly get generated in existing chunks. So is there a way to permanently disable these volcanoes?
  6. I agree, it's been proven that Minecraft on C++ runs a thousand times better on worse hardware. Look at Minecraft for XBox. They should just halt development completely for a few months like they did somewhere in Alpha, just to focus all their efforts on porting Minecraft to C++ completely, not just the older versions. Of course, this would set modding back a bit, but in the end, it would be worth it. No more dealing with the myriad of problems Java has all the time, or its poorly implemented garbage collection, or its proneness to crashing, not to mention how powerful your PC has to be to run it decently, even though it looks like a game from the 90's.
  7. Those "staple mods" are already starting to work together a bit more. IC2 Geothermal Generators now accept lava from BC Pipes, and a lot of stuff is also moving to Forge's APIs for tubes, pipes and fluids. Just wait for a bit and things will get smoothed out beyond just having Power Converters.
  8. Mass Fabs take EV, so that's not the problem. Are you sure your reactor didn't explode? If there's even one small hole or weak point somewhere, ALL the energy will get funneled through there.
  9. Okay. Yeah, Tekkit Classic is really dead, what with the huge amount of servers still running it. Totally. You could also just play Tekkit Lite with BukkitForge or MCPC-Plus to keep your Bukkit plugins. It's what a lot of server ops are doing right now, instead of whining on these forums how old Tekkit "Classic" is.
  10. They actually DO do that. Not sure if it's the publisher or Valve doing it, but it IS being done.
  11. What's usually wrong is that the modpack.jar needs to contain Minecraft Forge, and it needs to actually be called modpack.jar, not "modpack.jar.zip" or "modpack.zip" which happens REALLY often with inexperienced users because their extensions are hidden.
  12. Pro tip: Don't link to images on your own system. It will not work. Rehost it on imgur or something.
  13. Weird, I always have problems with the new LWJGL, but not the old one. The new one makes me stop walking if I left- or right-click when not in Fullscreen.
  14. Neither does a large hadron collider making Antimatter which gets thrown into a 7x7x7 cube of Fulmination Generators. In the end, it's just part of the endgame.
  15. You can use GregTech now if you really wanted to by changing the installation folder of the Technic Launcher. Only problem is you'll have to put it as Custom Modpack or install it into Voltz/YogBox/Vanilla, as it looks for "tekkit" or "technic". Or you could enjoy the mods in one of many ways they're meant to be played, not the one way some guy thinks you should play.
  16. Didn't the old launcher already have an option like this? Or am I confusing it with some other thing?
  17. Spore was great, but it felt a bit rushed. Probably EA setting deadlines which were way too tight.

    XyCraft

Oh, right. Well it was late when I posted that, couldn't think straight I'd still have to put an inverter down somewhere. I greatly prefer just using Inverted Lamps where needed.

Not if the lamp is next to the Lever.
  20. It actually does work like that.
  21. Worst part is, that isn't even exaggerated. Steam usually jacks up the price 2 days before a sale so they can make their discounts look better. So they increase the price from 35 to 60, then back to 30 to call it "50% off!". So, yeah. Pretty close to 6%.
  22. Change the ID's in the config files.
  23. You have an ID conflict.
  24. I'm behind a router borrowed from my ISP. They disabled port forwarding completely, and set the anti-DDos so tightly that even if I wanted to port forward, it would detect 2 connections not initiated by me within 10 seconds, and it would block those connections completely. So yes, it IS possible to not be able to forward your ports.
  25. Don't call people idiots when you're overreacting yourself. You just aligned the two sprites, acting as if it was something really cool, extraordinary and hard to do. Pro tip: It's not.
