I can imagine it now. Users having to ask permission before they install the mod alongside any other mod.
-
Found that out the hard way. Except that the logic didn't trigger once, but every time I loaded my world.

So do the new microblocks work better than RP2's microblocks? Because even though they were a cool concept and all, 9 out of 10 times, I couldn't remove them. Also, with RP2 gone, my worlds can finally stop getting eaten by multiplying volcanoes.
-
That's why modpacks exist.
-
Yeah, I wish they were a bit faster, or upgradable or something. I think it's time for IC³, too. IC2 is a good concept, but it's been played out.
-
Yeah, I figured out a long time ago that taking a completely different route can be a lot of fun. Too bad a friend of mine doesn't think that way. Threw a hissy fit when he learned IC2 was removed, due to the solar panels.

You just install RedPower like normal, but instead of .minecraft, you go to .technic/tekkitlite.

Some Infos about the new Tekkit Lite version?

The only thing about CC+RP2 I'll really miss is outputting to bundled cable. But as long as Computers can still output redstone signals, I'm fine. I wonder what'll happen to Wireless Redstone, though. -
Add it in manually if you really want to.

Yes.

IC2 and RP2 have been removed in favor of other mods. MineFactory Reloaded and Immibis' mods now do the exact same thing RP2 and IC2 did (Apart from frames), but better. -
Then install it yourself. It's not that hard. Just install OptiFine like you normally would, but in modpack.jar instead of minecraft.jar.
-
When I read that RP2 was removed, I was like "WHAT?!", but then I realized that other mods now replace its functionality. I'll have to read up on how to do wiring on walls now, though. Other way around.
-
Try checking the error log, see if a mod like Wireless Redstone is complaining. Take out the offending mod, load the world, save it and put the mod back in.
-
I still like IC2 for how simple it is. I would miss UU-Matter, Scrap Boxes and the Agriculture system if I didn't have IC2.
-
Update Dimensional Doors, or ignore these messages.
-
I don't think they're going to remove a major mod like IC2 unless absolutely necessary. It'll probably be in Tekkit Lite again once a stable release comes out.

Removing dug 64x64 quarries in my server. Best way?

Yeah, crystal chests are massive resource hogs in terms of rendering. -
I'm pretty sure MI6 is British.

I recommend MCPC-Plus rather than BukkitForge, as MCPC-Plus is basically a Bukkit server which can also load Forgemods. So it runs Bukkit plugins natively. -

It will mess up your worlds. Seriously. It works fine with Vanilla, but any block ID above 255 will be altered to something completely different. So instead of Tin Ore, you may find Computers underground. I think the ICBM mod from Voltz has Rocket Launchers and Rejuvenation Missiles. These will regenerate the chunk they explode in. -
Let's see you make a mod with stuff that moves, then. Because it's really, really hard to do, especially when tile entities, as well as blocks from other mods are involved. Why do you think the Zeppelin mod was such a buggy mess?
-
Jesus, it was about damn time someone stood up against that guy, even if it was just minor.
-
Ah, that's pretty cool. I still prefer my own homemade programs, though. You know exactly what to expect, and half the fun is in the programming.

So how does excavate drop items into chests? What do you need to do, does it just have to pass a chest or something?
