  1. Updating LWJGL probably won't help. OpenAL? Maybe, but not LWJGL. What probably happened here is this: Minecraft downloads its sounds while you play. A fresh installation will probably not have sound for about 5 minutes. This has misled quite a few people (Including me, when my internet connection was very, very slow).
  2. I love how some of the more gullible fanboys out there actually think that. Some also think the "donate to modder" links on the donate page actually make you donate towards Technic. ...Oh shit, they found us out! Pack your stuff everybody, our cover's been blown!
  3. Ah, I see. Thanks.
  4. You'd think that the Pulverizer takes stuff from the Forge ore dictionary. And it does. Problem is, Metallurgy has a system of its own, I think.
  5. Yes he is for reals. I'm running Windows 7 256-bit at the moment. U jelly?
  6. So I made some Road Blocks from MFR, but I noticed they're slippery, like Ice. I was wondering, why is this? Ice only slows you down, so why would this be good for roads?
  7. Correction: A slight justified fear of Combustion Engines. Those things tend to explode for no reason, even when properly cooled. You just can't leave them running without supervision.
  8. Yeah, I never quite figured out how to use Factorization and how to properly get power. It was just too confusing.
  9. Combustion Engines are bound to explode sooner or later, no matter how well-cooled they are. Put some chunk loaders down next to the Combustion Engines and cooling system and see if that helps. If not, use Magmatic Engines.
  10. Probably not. I think you're better off adding stuff like RP2 and IC2 to a modpack based on Tekkit instead of taking Tekkit Lite as base and updating those mods.
  11. Are you sure you properly updated to 1.0.6, both the client and the server?
  12. Only if [buildCraft] is op'd. So just set protected areas to only be non-protected against certain players, instead of against all ops.
  13. Now that EE2 and IC2 are out, 99% of the offending items are gone. Especially EE2 had some nasty stuff. IC2 had the mining laser, among other things.
  14. 1. Go into Pocket Dimension or a Dimensional Dungeon. 2. Die. 3. Get out of Limbo 4. Wish your enemies luck in finding you ~40000 blocks away
  15. Thanks so much for these tutorials. We really need a way to incorporate these in the game. Maybe some kind of menu where you can see all items, search for items, and see their recipes and which recipes use those items? Oh well, a man can dream...
  16. As long as the Solar Array isn't as OP as the Solar Array from IC2 (Up to the point where the tech tree revolves around it), that would be a wonderful addition.
  17. Magmatic Engines work wonders as well.
  18. It's pretty much the only thing, yeah. Apart from the obvious stuff like TNT and Creepers. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
  19. Or we could just call it Tekkit, since that name made the whole pack well-known anyway.
  20. Yeah, update to 1.0.6. Your issue should be resolved.
  21. Not yet, but I'll just link you to the most important wikis, these will cover pretty much all there is to Tekkit. Thermal Expansion BuildCraft MineFactory Reloaded Applied Energistics
  22. That's because it has to generate an assload of new chunks, since you get transported about 20000 blocks away. I turned down the Limbo respawn distance from 40000 max to 1000 max.
  23. He mostly meant an actual release, not just "Updated for new version of Minecraft". It's high time for IC³, since IC² is fundamentally flawed.
  24. He mostly means how it got there, in-universe. I'm wondering the same thing. How did all that waste end up in specific locations?
  25. You probably didn't look hard enough. It's right here. I suggest you read what all the machines do. If you can understand IC2, then you can understand TE unless you don't want to understand TE.
