As an alternative, you can probably add the Technic Launcher to the list of exceptions in the antivirus settings. I remember TF2 having similar problems with huge lag when certain virus scanners were enabled.

Civ 5 is like the new SimCity, except that it works a little bit better. Mechanics are pretty stupid, and the AI starts to cheat. And plenty of people play Warband.

IMO it's a good change, it allows for animated textures. They should've included backwards compatibility, though. What kind of developer doesn't do that?

Alternatively, use one of the RP2 machines (A manager, I think?) to pump out 62 scrap out of the recycler once the amount of scrap reaches 63. Why 63? To prevent the recycler from stopping for a bit once a full stack is reached. This way, you won't have to worry about silly stuff like carefully managing the input.

Sounds like the PC running the server either isn't powerful enough, or the server isn't getting enough RAM.

Can you perhaps post a screenshot of how the quarry and engines are setup?

The black/yellow tape disappears for me too, but the quarry will still function properly and excavate the area you pointed out with your landmarks. Just ignore it or reconnect.

Rain is random. You just got unlucky. Get everyone to sleep and the rain will stop. Or just turn it off.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say the Industrial Tesla Coil zaps all entities, not just mobs and players. Use IC2's tesla coils.

How much RAM did you allocate? I'd suggest selecting 1 GB and see how it goes. More RAM allocated=More lag.

There's some stuff which is glitched and allows for either crashing/lagging the server, or some kind of dupe exploit. That's why some items may still be disabled.

If it does, I hope they make it less of a game and more of a mod.

The Blulectric engine was probably added in for "fun". Getting large amounts of Blutricity is so hard and annoying because the RP2 machines don't need a lot of power to keep running.

Not in the ages itself, but rather in how RedPower generates Marble. It checks for caves and puts marble in them. If the entire world is one big cave, then you'll lag like hell until you reload the age, at which point everything is fine.

Of course. Why write entirely new code when you can just reference code already in the game? Saves resources and work.

Adding galacticraft causing errors in the launcher is a coincidence. When it gives that error, it hasn't even made any attempts to load any files whatsoever yet.

Thermal Expansion is actually included in Tekkit, not just in FTB. Dunno what you're on about. Same goes for Mystcraft, Steve's Carts, MFFS, Powersuits and Factorization. Also, you could just make a pack out of all those mods yourself. Installing mods isn't that hard, especially since 99% of the mods you posted simply go in the "mods" folder.
