I'm working on it now. For anyone interested, this is my pack.

I know I don't want ExtraBiomes in my pack. Wedge would be nice but I doubt it would work. I want a nice minimal pack centered around mining and crafting. Currently thinking: Core: 4096, BC, IC, RP, TC2, Twilight Forest, TropiCraft, and maybe EE as far as fluff mods go, Forestry, Iron Chests, Rei's Minimap, Inventory Tweaks, Compact Solars, HD Skins, and RailCraft +Steve's Carts. Also taking suggestions for fun stuff to play on.

If nobody has ever played it, Fable was originally a point and click adventure. I think I have it in this pack.

I'm not really sure. I know I want tropiccraft and twilight forest. I just need to get the motivation to actually put this all together.

You have to hook up to the internet to download tekkit using your credentials. After that, you would just need to get everyone on the same private network. Use an extra machine to host the server. With gigabit, the only lag you'll experience is minecraft doing things. I would suggest throwing this on an extra machine. Not in a virtual drive, just an extra laptop/desktop someone might have. The setup is painless. I suggest WinSCP to add mods and PuTTY for commands. with mineos, commands can also be given from the web interface but I really don't see a point in setting all that up for a simple LAN party.

There's no install. That same EXE you downloaded, is the thing you run every time.

the exe is for x64 systems.

I used the DW build to play with because he already did the configuration for all the mods (and mystcraft) jakj wrote a little thing about the 4096 fix in technic so I'm going to attempt to add InfiTools Flora and Soma, TropicCraft, and Twilight Forest (unless someone posts a more awesome dimensional mod that might be compatible). My Technic 7 Build is : - millenaire - better dungeons + mod_ironchests-client-3.3.1.21 + mod_compactsolars-client-2.2.0.5 + ThaumCraft2.1.5a + forestry-client-A-1.4.4.4 I've taken a gander at forestry and didn't see anything too bad. I'm still not using bees just in case. Wanted the auto stuff and the backpacks.

Your description is pretty much all platformers from that era. Oh man. I just found God of Thunder again. It is so on.

First off, turn off fancy, turn render distance to normal, turn off millenaire and better dungeons, disable mob spawners in the item subsets of NEI, turn on advanced open GL, turn on dynamic chunks. If that doesn't help, you need a new card in your laptop.

Using MultiMC I got 4096 and Mystcraft to work. I'm lookin for mods that add new dimensions. The overworld/nether is getting kinda boring.

Then you want to check out one must fall or kings quest 5. original wolfenstein is a lot of fun too. If you're feeling brave, betrayal at krondor. shit is ridiculous. I remember it getting released. I was excited cuz the graphics were awesome and the game was so huge. you've got a lifetime of DOS games to play. you won't have time. unless you skip the emulator and play them all in superfast mode.

to play old DOS games you need an emulator. D-Fend is a front end but it includes an emulator. I would also suggest the Kings Quest series. They're a lot of fun.
