Fourth thing, He's in the future. Launcher Version: 3.1 (I also suggest getting rid of AVG and downloading avast! It's also free, and has fewer problems)

I can't open technic launcher!

This is the Torezu I like the most To all: read the CP&S -
You are right on the line of this being the correct place! (Suck it andrew!) Here's my trouble shooting instruction: Troubleshoot: Make sure your anti-virus and firewalls are disabled while trying to connect to minecraft.net (while logging in, connecting to a server) Uninstall Java, then delete your .techniclauncher folder. Restart your computer (it's not required, but it never hurts to give it a break) Reinstall the correct version of Java for your computer (ensure the bit type matches) Redownload the Launcher. Try to run the .exe, if this does not work, look in your .techniclauncher folder, make sure you have a .jar file in there. (Ask Jorcer if the exe doesn't work)

That was andrew's fail quote thanks. OP, make sure to restart your computer if you uninstall Java (just to make sure all of it is gone)

Windows 64. Ok, so he could be having a 32 bit issue, and we know he has windows. I believe my statement still stands. OP: check here at the CP&S. You should be able to provide us with more information using the instructions in that thread.
-
Well, I can't be certain that he passed it. So, I'll give him a pass on this one, assuming he comes back with a bit more to go on.
-
Actually, none of it is helpful. All I know is he needs to allocate more memory to the heap.
-
Actually, it might be the correct section. But it is very difficult to tell from his description. OP please go to the CP&S, obtain the correct information you need to provide by the instructions there. And then we should be able to help :)
-
You have too many java's.
-
You right click on it
-
With no logs to look at it's very difficult for me to give you any other suggestions. I don't know anything other than the info you've given me, and I can't see if there is another issue.
-
We post these things, because if done properly, they fix 80-90% of ALL launcher issues. More often than not people say "I've tried everything" and haven't done a damned thing, and don't have the foggiest idea as how to troubleshoot. Did you try maybe, trying the suggestions, as suggested?

Yeah, after a little nap I'm not so cranky. Still tired, but not cranky.
-
Look for other firewalls too. If your computer is brand new, it likely has Windows Defender on it as well. I highly suggest not using Norton, at all. You should use avast! instead! It's free and it's not "here put this on every computer you make to make people buy my product" :)

Sorry! Today I am super exhausted. And feeling like I want to reach through my computer (my grandma was right about the technology fear right?) and hit some of these posters with the idiots guide to computers.
-
If you don't think our suggestions are helpful, go make your own modpack and have a bunch of unpaid staff volunteers and an open forum.
-
Buy an account with minecraft. After that, we will discuss the other issues you are having.

Tekkit loads only 10 mods ???? and everyone is ignoring this ??? Why ???
Ashzification replied to L4UR155's question in Tekkit Classic
Why don't you fix it? You already isolated the problem. -
First check here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/common-problems-and-solutions.10851/ Most answers can be found there. Troubleshoot: Make sure your anti-virus and firewalls are disabled while trying to connect to minecraft.net (while logging in, connecting to a server) Uninstall Java, then delete your .techniclauncher folder. If you do not, and the .exe doesn't work, do this: I am getting a “Technic Launcher has Stopped Working Error”! If your launcher is encountering this error, a solution is to download the .jar file from http://www.technicpack.net/download/ (pick the third from the left (Linux/Jar)). If you are using Internet Explorer you will also need to change the file extension (the ending of the file) to .jar instead of .zip. Once you’ve done that, all you need to do is double-click on the file to run the launcher. If double click doesn't work with the .jar: Right click on the .jar file, open with Java. If none of those work, try running as administrator.

You have to have a premium account. Get a premium account, and then we will discuss the other issues you seem to be having.

I know, I just figured maybe OP would listen to someone talking at him in a manner in which he seems to think is immature.
-
I don't think this is a stickies problem at all. Since the website (technicpack.net) has the instructions included with the download page, it seems to only be an issue with his ability to read and follow directions. Mature people will take criticism when provided, however crude, and apply it to what they are doing. Sorry kid, you don't fit that category.
-
No thanks, some posters just need to be told to go elsewhere, or to use the effort button (the one Jorcer seems to like so much)
-
I copy/paste, then if the OP isn't retarded and tried that stuff, I help them more (you know if they actually have a problem that isn't caused by lack of intelligence/effort).

No one is helping you because you are breaking forum rules, abusing the caps lock key and using too many special characters. (You are not using forum etiquette) Here is my suggestion: Be patient Search for similar problems Apply the solutions you find to your problem-if they work, great! problem solved. If not, tell us (in one post please) what you tried. Troubleshoot your setup. Bossgx, there is a "watch thread" button, you should use that.
