Is that the only issue that causes this? I've been noticing it a lot in my console lately. Would disabling pedestals stop it? (Sorry, just happened to see this got moved, and noticed it was the same as a question I've had)

Can you play minecraft in the minecraft launcher?

Delete the version you have before you download the version Jorcer is talking about. If it says to update it, tell it no ;)

Try clearing your cache. It usually works for me with the update failed errors. I also remember reading something about it being a problem with java and the update (I think) If I come across it I'll link it for you.

I think Jorcer is right, the recommended version of java for mac's is 6. Or at least that's what my confused google search came up with lol

You have bought minecraft correct?

A map save and clean reinstall never hurt either :)

Delete your .techniclauncher folder. Uninstall all Java's you may have. Restart your computer. Reinstall Java 7 32 bit Redownload the pack

Turn off all firewalls/antivirus

Use iOS on a mac and windows on a PC and you won't have these problems. Edit: you're asking for trouble otherwise
