  1. Is anyone still getting this problem? We found out why it was happening and dealt with it days ago but it seems like people are still talking about it.
  2. Hey. Sorry I don't really understand most of your points. I think I get that you want to be able to allocate different amounts of memory per pack and I'm fairly sure that is a planned feature. I don't understand anything else though. It saying 5 GB if you have 6 doesn't make any sense (also you shouldn't be allocating that much memory anyway since it is bad for Minecraft). I cant understand your first statement about not being able to make you own pack. The Technic Platform is specifically for that. I think you're saying that you should be able to use mods downloaded from other packs to make your own packs? But you can already do this by going into those packs and moving the mods to your own pack. If you mean you want the launcher to do this for you, there is pretty much no way. Sorry. Also don't sign your name please. Read the forums rules.
  3. Pretty much the Launcher is a program for launching different "packs" of mods to play with Minecraft. What likely happened is that your son accidentally switched to a different pack before launching. That would be one explanation anyway. Is he using the new Technic launcher, or the old one? The new one looks like the one on this page: http://www.technicpack.net/
  4. You are wrong on this. However!! Spell checkers do exist and they are nearly effortless to use now. There really is no excuse when most browsers underline everything wrong in red.
  5. Post a bug report in the correct section. We can do nothing for you without information. Please read the stickies at the top of each forum before you post or you will receive warning points in the future.
  6. Seems like a decent suggestion. I'll bring it up when things calm down and we have time to work on smaller details.
  7. Yes, that's correct. http://www.technicpack.net/voltz
  8. Icewolf will correct me if I'm wrong here since he has taken over the Voltz pack construction, but that version was removed because it was too broken to keep active. Voltz will be done in house now with Icewolf as the new pack maintainer. While I understand your frustration, you have to understand that dev builds are dev builds for a reason. Icewolf plans on making sure this isn't an issue in the future, but keep in mind that stable builds are what you should be using for servers unless you're 100% sure the dev build is fine to use. Hopefully now that we are directly maintaining the pack it will be up to our normally very good standards. :)
  9. Replace it, but with a photo of me in a heart shaped frame. It will fill the empty hole 200$ in American money has left in his heart.
  10. Keeping an entire server of players up to date with the pack authors version is just one of the reasons we do it the way we do with platform links. There are several others. The problems we've experienced so far have mostly been due to the sheer stress of immense popularity hitting our new services, and how fresh on the market they are. Platform has only been out for a few days and already has thousands of packs and tens of thousands of users. Obviously with that kind of sudden use right after launch it will be understandably bumpy with the odd bug to sort out. Knee jerk statements like this... ...show us that you don't actually understand what you are talking about, you are just grasping for attention (as you said) and being unreasonable without any real purpose. It's one thing to offer criticism, and a completely other thing to assume something is negative and then wildly speculate as to why. Criticism is "I understand how this works but I feel it would be improved by doing it this way." not "I don't understand how this works, but I think it's bad for some reason and I'm going to just randomly assume why while offering no actual usable suggestions." Perhaps you can understand why we don't appreciate this kind of feedback, and why you haven't been taken seriously.
  11. You need admin permission to post download links. It could be anything. You're violating our forums rules.
  12. You're right greenwolf. This thread is about you!
  13. No. You can't be pretty sure you're having the same problem. No problem was posted. Also if you're having the problem I think you're having, the issue isn't that you need the old launcher, it's that you need someone to teach you how to computer.
  14. "My name is blazedginger and I'm violating Minecrafts TOS! Please sue Technic (not me)!" I'm sure Mojang will get right on that!
  15. Platform =/= Launcher. Go post in the bug report section.
  16. Are you for real? Seriously? Did you not just read anything above your post?
  17. Haha that's so bad. I was actually curious about this. Thanks for enlightening me. Oh Minecraft :allears:
  18. The Platform and the new launcher are not the same thing. You should be reporting bugs with the launcher in the launcher bugs section.
  19. Or give blessings to everyone! Then no one would have to waste any time on stuff like this. One of the most talented modders (maybe the most) with one of the best permission policies: http://machinemuse.net/modpacks.php She doesn't lose any sleep over modpacks, and has plenty of time to keep making Modular Powersuits better and better.
  20. We deserve serious applesauce.
  21. Yes you do. You love it and you know it. Don't pretend.
