Re: Common Problems (And their solutions) I have no idea what your problem could be. A guess? Try right clicking the launcher and running it as administrator. I'm on a mac right now but I remember seeing that option windows side. The problem could be permissions. Otherwise it sounds exactly like a Java error, but without logs or more info I can't say for sure.

The launcher has sped up our production 1000%. I can't take you seriously because you really don't seem understand the process or anything involved in what we do or how we do it. There are dozens of very good reasons we now do this they way we do. You are free to compile the mods yourself. We're going to continue to do it the best possible way rather then double our workload to satisfy your whim.

Hey. Glad I inspired you. It's rough now but the one and only thing you can do to improve is draw all the time and study. If you want to draw minecraft art, a good thing to study is perspective. Since it's all cubes and blocks, studying perspective is what would help you the most.

This isn't the proper place to post this. But then again, nowhere would be because that's a useless and awful post. No one could ever solve your issue after reading a post like that.

I had a feeling you were going to say AVG. It's been discussed a lot, and AVG is notorious for blocking anything it doesn't recognize without telling you it's doing so. AVG is also kinda a crappy antivirus program. If it's your personal computer I'd suggest finding a different antivirus. There's some great free options like Microsoft Security Essentials (what I use) or Avast. If it's a family computer and you don't have a say in the antivirus used, then you'll have to dig very hard into AVG to make sure it's not blocking techinc. Try shutting down AVG completely. Firewalls and everything, just shut it right down, then run the launcher again. Tell me what happens. Hopefully it will run.

There may be a language barrier or something if English isn't your first language so try your best to describe the issue and I'll do my best to understand and help you. It may be your antivirus yeah. It's a common cause of the download failed error. Antivirus like Norton and AVG aren't very good and tend to get in the way a lot. If it's your family computer and you have no say on the antivirus you use, you'll have to just do your best to either disable whatever is blocking it, or add technic as an exception to norton.

Very VERY little info. Please provide more information, as much as you can, no matter what your problem is. It's poor manners to ask for help and then not provide any information that could make it easier to do so. Makes it take longer for the people trying to assist because they have to spend a lot of time guessing. As for your problem, are you running the .exe or the .jar? What operating system are you on? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit, and does your version of Java match it? Is your Java up to date? That info could be the difference between guessing and knowing the answer.

Not much to go on, but perhaps the download failed and the modpacks weren't installed. Go to your .technicpack folder (If you don't know where that is, look around the forums and read stickies or do a search) Delete that folder AND the launcher exe, then redownload it. Run it and see if a wipe and reinstall solves the problem.
