  1. It's great to know when it'll come, but I'd love to know what'll be updated and if I can help. ;)
  2. Emphasis mine. Excuse me? Blue alien? I'm a SUPERVILLAIN. Get it right. Anyways, I'm taking no part in this nuclear exchange. WMDs that leave behind nasty radiation, sickness, and horrible consequences beyond the second they strike just aren't my style. I'm more a fan of the death ray/experimental non-nuclear WMDs. ...Not to mention I'm taking no part in this battle for prepubescent supremacy.
  3. Right here. This sticky, at the top of the Tekkit section. Unless you're after Yog/Voxelbox or Hack/Mine.
  4. A dashing, stylish supervillain is almost redundant without an arch nemesis equally stylish (Although not as dashing, of course. )! Without someone to compete with for fans fame/infamy and to battle, what's a supervillain's inspiration? A good battle between good and evil is mostly a show for spectators, after all. The real battle is won or lost in the dressing room. a very serious occurrence, and the winner is usually the best showman most powerful and stylish!
  5. It's supervillain - no hyphens, no matter what anyone says. Besides, if I needed perfect grammar and wanted to conform to non-villain society, I'd use it. I use my legible, stylized English so that I can put a touch of 'me' in everything I say and do, while making it generally easy to follow for those who know me not. After all, the most important quality of a supervillain (And of a superhero, if you ask me) is presentation, and a unique style is integral to that.
  6. As a side note, I adore the new cracked and decorative stone bricks. In fact, as of the update, they match my home's aesthetic better than before, so I didn't need to move them or anything. The new normal bricks are also refreshing and add more warm colors to the palate without overstating things. I don't know who made the decision(s), but good job - I love it. If I may ask, what can we expect or look forward to in the next update? I'd love to put my two cents in and maybe even try my hand at helping if I find the time.
  7. Personally I create seeds that are memorable to me: My favorite Technic Recommended Build's seed is AlChestBreach (Which translates into numbers I don't want to remember), so created 'word' seeds works for me. That way if I want to share the seed I can just say, "Yeah, it's [word]," as opposed to, "Yeah, it's -238771538275839279157kajillion." But these seeds are random ideas from my head - I don't like to 'pick' worlds or I never seem to find the 'right' one. It has to be just perfect, and a random seed or one of my machination generally does that better than, "Oh hey that screenshot looks nice... Maybe I'll... Nope, there's no waterfall."
  8. "The forums from which most of us are refugees, to stay out.*" My grammar was a bit bad.
  9. Must say I love the new ores and gem tools - keep up the good work!
  10. Don't like how we behave and keep our community in check? Don't like how we make sure everyone gets along and all the self-entitled idiots from the forums the majority of us are actually refugees from stay out? There's an 'X' button on the top-right of your browser. I don't mean to be a dick, but, seriously, it says you've been a member since June. I like it here, and if I make a mistake I get called out on it and made fun of (It has happened to me, I got over it) - I don't repeat it, and when someone else decides to make a decision like that, I get a good laugh and help them to improve themselves. If someone isn't mature enough to see their mistakes when they do make them, laugh at themselves, then improve, then I don't want to be on the same board as them - I don't bother dealing with those folks in real life, why bother with them on a forum I use for escapism from reality?
  11. I really like the iron ore, but the coal I'm not too huge on - it contrasts a bit too much, especially since coal is pretty brittle and would be more spread out within the rock.
  12. That's not how we work. If you're a dumbass, you get Kellered. It means you refuse to read the rules and don't listen when people tell you didn't read the rules. However, you still have a chance to improve yourself, learn the rules, and follow them - thus becoming a regular forum-goer again! This is a highly effective system and we have many Keller success stories. If you continue the dumbassery (Or do something just outright uncool in the first place), then you are banned. Permanently. No takesies-backsies.
  13. I wouldn't mind hearing a report on mods and whatnot - given that the story is unbiased and valid information from both sides (In terms of a controversial topic) is given. If this remains (Reasonably) objective then this has the potential to be something good. :)
  14. Seconded, I play video games for escapism - too much complexity or realism and it actually takes me out of it. Life sucks - a job, school, and soon a child to raise? Why would I want more of that in my entertainment? Like jakj once said, "The more complex the mind, the simpler the play needs to be."
  15. Think he meant that he wants a constitutional presidential bicameral democratic republic, similar to or identical to America's system. Or he's just very proud of his country. Anyways, a Tsar is an emperor - his power is, like a king's - inherited unless he (Obviously) manages a coup d'etat. If one is simply a dictator then one does not necessarily pass on power to one's children. ...Then again, I'm just being picky about governments and their differences - maybe instead of a 'dictatorship' he meant an autocratic government with centralized power.
  16. I'd like to build on this by asking OP: How did you find the 'c' key once in Technic but failed to do so another time so you had to use a 'k' key?
  17. Oh dear goodness this thread is turning dirty quick. I'm just gonna press the little 'unwatch' button...
  18. The help was already posted earlier in the thread. Now's the part when we get to make fun of you for being an idiot and not reading the rules. ...Which is part of the rules, incidentally.
  19. Twice terminology I brought to this board is used in the same thread... *Sniffs* I'm so proud!
  20. I think you can just contact a vanilla server and ask them, "Hey, do you run modded servers?" If they say yes, you can then proceed to say, "Okay, use the server from www.technicpack.net - their Tekkit server build is easy for you and me - all you have to do is download and run it, with little to no configuration problems." Then they'll charge you monthly as per usual for server renting.
  21. Eating dinner almost nightly at the restaurant where I work (>50% off = $3.00 dinners), and like Brentnauer I don't drink or anything. For fun I play video games, hang out with my friends (We wander about aimlessly, spending about $10 between all of us, tops - we're all poor lol), and the rest of my time is working, sports, or studying. So life is slightly more convenient for me since I get to eat actual meals, but yeah. That extra bit of cash to spend on nerding out (New hardware, paying for servers, helping my friends develop new software) is worth it!
  22. The main dance or The Fella in Yella (My name for him)'s dance? Because they're quite different. I doubt I'll be doing the main bit of choreography since it's only a small part of the bigger show and I was apparently picked for that role.
  23. I know, maybe I should have made that clearer; I've tried to find a use for them but I always fail to. They don't really fit the aesthetic theme of any of the other blocks, or the rest of the texture pack really. They stick out somewhat jarringly and I love to add cracked and mossy stone bricks in with others to make something seem old and worn. It's always nagged a bit at me, but in a stronghold (Which I'm considering restoring before making my home) it is much more obvious. If there's no other option it's fine, but I thought I'd throw in my two cents about them. As for stone bricks in general, I've seen them more rounded in the MCF post - I don't know if that's an update or different version or whatever, but I'm also torn when it comes to those as opposed to our very blocky, very precise-looking stone bricks.
  24. < 2 weeks is generally okay - especially if you can add to the conversation. If a thread is over month old and the conversation is clearly over then it's necroing.
  25. I'm skinny, I supposedly have his fashion sense (Ha ha ha...), and I guess I kinda have that specific 'dance to my own beat' thing I see in him. His style may not fit into mainstream 'cool,' or make any sense at all, but he has it (And style is the number one thing I can respect about someone - if you have your own unique style, even if it doesn't suit me and I don't like it, I can respect it and thus respect you) I was *picked* for the role, and I love it. I'm so excited! Come spring when we do cabaret I'll link to the YouTube video of it. :D
