Because the support for the pack is gone... The maintainer/moderator/whatever he was (PuddingHux) has left the project and it is no longer being updated. As such the technic pack team have decided to remove the support and discussion sections from the site.

Fun fact: "My friend/my brother/etc." is one of the most common (and transparent) excuses used on the internet. "The more you know!"

using the search bar narrows it down considerably, along with looking in the correct section. If the OP had done either of these things, he likely would have found a solution to his issue. Bride is not a moderator so she has no control over that, however some of the mods fit that description when people are lazy. That is the communities way of helping people develop their searching skills and solving things for themselves, if they don't like it they are generally asked to leave. Will you be providing the board? Because the expenses for this site are already astronomical for a free project with no source of income... Clients implies a customer/provider relationship, this type of relationship doesn't apply to the Technic pack as it is a free enterprise with no profits. I did read that entire post. the reason I asked was because the impression I got from your post was that you were confused as to what username you should use. Also, seeing as this is not your topic, you really don't have a right to ask/get help. If your issue is similar to the OP's and someone help him and that solution might work for you, but you don't get to barge into someone else's thread and get mad that people aren't helping you. Seeing as the OP's issue is most likely his Java version, you have a very different issue.

You need to use your minecraft username and password. If you migrated your account, you should use your e-mail as your username.

Do you mean the modpacks are at 1.2.5? If so, change the build you are using. (Keep in mind some of the packs have not been updated yet)

...Did you at least try using your e-mail? When you migrate your account you need to use your e-mail. This is indeed the most common reason and solution for this issue on macs (and only macs)

It is no longer being supported or troubleshooted here. Development on it has stopped and the support sections that were on these forums are gone.

Try downgrading you Java to version 6

Make sure you are typing it in correctly then. If you migrated your account make sure to use your e-mail as your username.

You need Java 64 bit to allocate more. Not sure if that will work for you if your comp is 32 bit though...

The mods you added conflict with some IDs. You need to figure out which ones they are and change them around so that they don't conflict
