I checked them out and i am not impressed. To get the same specs i got from iBuyPower, it was almost a grand extra, AND i didn't get as much variety in case choice.

Does it have to be a PC game? Dwarf Fortress Stone Soup Aion If your PC is good enough to emulate ps2 games, i'd suggest the Shin Megami Tensei games for PS2. Particularly Nocturne and Digital Devil Saga.

You could travel for months, literally, and not get to the badlands. You know how minecraft is "8times the size of the earth"? you have to get to the edges of that to find the badlands.

I think there's a misunderstanding here. Noone is saying mojang can sue for damages, or punish the people making mods. We're saying mojang could, if they so desired, cite the eula and render distribution of any functionally usable mods illegal.

Most of the things in it can be pretty easily done on your own. It's just for lazy people like me, really.

That does not bother me whatsoever. some of the "blizzlike" servers are remarkably accurate. And realistically, what do you expect from a crack? the whole point is that you're playing the game in a way the manufacturer did not intend.

But what's stopping them from doing the same for D3? the result would be the same.

But that's not going to happen. Direwolf makes his pack for himself, and includes mods that do not give out permission. Also mods whose developers would not allow their mod in the technick pack. Direwolf would most likely have to give up some of his mods to have his pack in the launcher if he even wants that which isn't likely.

That's funny, i have a total middle of the road machine, and i have absolutely no lag spikes. The primary reason that nobody can diagnose these lag problems is that the vast majority of us aren't experiencing them, and have nothing to test to try and fix it. As was said earlier, minecraft runs differently on different machines, you're always going to get better results if you build a pack this big yourself, rather than download it as a pack produced to run on a wide spectrum of computers.
