Screwed? Not really. Inconvenienced? Hell yes. There will probably be a big month and a half long gap, where none of the mods are updated or functioning properly. Patience will be had, and eventually everything will return to Business as Usual

Building your own is almost always the most effective and cheapest solution, but not everybody has the know-how to do it. For "primitive-monkey" reasons.

I haven't heard much bad about them. My machine from them runs like a dream come true. The price wasn't bad for what i got either. iBuyPower also has pretty frequent deals, special upgrades and crap. I got all my ram upgraded from standard to specialty performance ram for free.

Read the stickies, post in the bug boards, use the report format. Easy as 1,2,3, right?

I enjoy all of these except the idea for decorative armor. In an SMP environment, what armor someone is wearing is the primary means of figuring out whether you should fight or flee. See someone with Quantum? your only hope is to run away before they see you. See someone in iron, their ass is grass. If armor could be decorative, you'd have people in Quantum, but they'd look like they wearing iron. Suddenly, deathtoll everywhere.

Re: Progress of Dokucraft Technic Support. I'm impressed. This is looking really nice. Pm me once you finish full support and i might even sticky it. There isn't one. We don't do popularity buttons here.

Oh, well it's hard to tell sometimes. Also Macs are pretty great for artists and people who are [severely] not tech savvy, so a Mac might have been a realistic suggestion.
-
Or you could build a much stronger computer yourself, for half that, and get a machine with a 6 core i7.
-
You may be out of luck. Try the Jar, and try adding the launcher as an exception in mcaffee, but there's a good chance that it's going to continue blocking the launcher.

So's the machine i got from iBuyPower, AND it has external fan controls. Also it was $1200, and is similar in power to an $1800 alienware.
-
I swear, it's like you guys don't even understand how to internet. The rules specifically say "Don't talk about piracy here". They say that. Now i have to go and probate you for not reading the rules, ya shmuck.
-
There were holes, but not nearly frequent enough to justify it's existence there.

Re: Avatar : the Last Airbender Tabletop While i appreciate the vote of confidence, Memes are not allowed here. It's even in the rules. I've been considering splitting AC and Agility, since it seems funny to me to have physical resistance, and dodging ability in the same stat.
-
my problem with alienware is that their innards are sometimes assembled by untrained monkeys. I've seen things that even laymen would cringe at. Once saw, in a $1500 alenware, a huge cooling fan, with a metal plate between it and the motherboard. The only thing the plate was doing was holding up blinkylights.

Re: Avatar : the Last Airbender Tabletop Bloodbending operated on the same principle as plantbending did. It was a waterbeding subskill achieved by bending the water inside the person/plant. I figure plantbending will come available as a 10th level feat, bloodbending as a 15th.
-
Re: Avatar : the Last Airbender Tabletop There will be no energy bending, except possibly as 20+ feat for the avatar. As for the airbenders, starting at 3rd level, they'll be getting a latent AC feat to influence projectiles. As for fighting styles, i look at it this way, bending was all based on martial arts, so Airbenders aren't quick naturally, they're quick because they train that way (points in acrobatics and other agility feats in the Martial category), where as Earthbenders, for instance, tend to put points into things like Hardened Body and Sure Footed.
-
Re: Avatar : the Last Airbender Tabletop I'll keep you all updated. All the "minor" bending powers are just techniques used by regular benders. The swamp benders were all waterbenders, same with the bloodbender woman. Sandbenders are earthbenders, lightning we already know about, but i'll have to be creative with airbenders.

No worries. They were given a short probation for a one time offense and will be back before too long.
-
If you want to power that with redstoners you'll have to use at least 20-30.
-
What antivirus are you using?

You're missing something here. We aren't ignoring that point of view, this argument happens two or three times a week and noone gets punished for it, they were probated for shitting up a thread with boatloads of potential. The argument was deleted to prevent the thread from devolving int othe same argument over and over.
-
Threads do get hijacked a lot here, but most of those threads are bad in the first place, and are hijacked with silliness. This was a serious thread about someone who was trying to create something useful, and it was hijacked because jakj wanted to argue about copyright for the 30th time.
-
No... What i am saying is that that fucking thread was not the place for that debate. Here's the rundown. OP:"I'm making a modpack!" Me:"be careful, sometimes peopel freak out when you include shit without permission" jakj: "OMFG MODDERS WHO DO THAT ARE SO DUMB" Naturam:"NUH-UH" Jakj: "Uh-huh" Naturam: "Nuh-uh" Jakj: "Uh-huh" Naturam: "Nuh-uh" Jakj: "Uh-huh" Naturam: "Nuh-uh" Jakj: "Uh-huh" Naturam: "Nuh-uh" OP: but... doesn't anyone want to talk about my modpack? Jakj: "Uh-huh" Naturam: "Nuh-uh" Jakj: "Uh-huh" Naturam: "Nuh-uh" Jakj: "Uh-huh" Naturam: "Nuh-uh" Simpleguy *bans everything*
-
It was not the place for that debate.
-
It's not important. he was arguing with naturam over modpack ethics, and their argument was shitting up the thread.
