The mantra on Slows live stream a few days ago was that such things are yet to be worked out. On the one hand the live stream and all the anouncements are FTB/Forge are in partnership with Curse. Then in the same breath such huge deal breaking details like non competition are things that have yet to talked about. It's hard to work out if anyone has signed on the dotted line yet or not. If not, then breaking the news before the deal has been done is insane. If the signatures are on the dotted line then I find it hard to believe that such huge details like non competition are still up for discussion.

As said in a previous post I made. If ok I would like to tap into the network and add a station. Happpy to do this myself. From your plan the rail line will turn north again right under the south east land mass I have my base on. The station is not really just for my base, I just want that section of land to have easier access. Because once there it's just a short walk or boat ride to virgin lands and most people seem to head north west when stating out. So anyway, once rail line is in place if ok I would like to add a station more or less where the line turn north again. I do try to get online each day, but timezones means I rarely see you. ps: sorry for late reply to your quote. Only just noticed it. I did though ask the same thing earlier.

Have you tried to log on to the server ? (I'm not an admin / mod or anyone official. It's just sometimes people expect to get a response here and forget to try logging in) I have no knowledge or informatioon about the status of your application btw. Just making a suggestion

Like the idea of a subway. Especially the rail network that expands out of town. There is still huge sections of landmass that lay untouched. In the interests of lag though may I suggest an on demand system. (no where near as cool as a perma' run system but RC just isn't up to it imo)... I have a press button dispensor / enter cart and of you go system in my basement. With player detector blocks it's an easy thing to do to have it set up in a way that at each station after the platform you can have a detector rail / block that tells if the person exited the cart or not at the station. If they are still onboard the cart continues, if the cart is empty it gets picked up by a dispensor. My system also has an ender chest for emty carts. That can be used as a central repository that each stations dispensor can pull from. Also I have it set up so the redstone part of the system that picks carts up only operates for a few seconds when needed. All other times it is off. (timer and state cell set to 2 seconds connected to a detector rail) Lastly, looking at the map the line goes under the northern part of land near my base. Apart from my base the whole of that south eastern area is untouched. Would you have any objections if I added a station there to your line ? I would quite like to build a subway station. I would also be happy to help dig the north south tunnel at that point if needed. Just give me a starting and finsish cordinates and depth / tunnel width, prefered material use etc. I also have a tunnel bore if needed but tbh it's prob easier by hand given the amount of caves in that general area. Would love to get started on a station asap if approved. If not I am still happy to help elsewhere. (Off topic, Since I came back I am trully amazed at some of the builds that have gone up since I have been gone. Both by oldtimers and new people alike. My mansion was at one point something that stood out, now it looks like a social housing project built with the cheapest materials by trainee builders lol) ps: just thought. I have no idea what design you have in mind but it is easilly possible to use a single track system and signals. That said a double track of clockwise and anticlockwise may be better in the longterm. Last ps, promise... Just thought that when this is done. Or incorporated into this project maybe it's time to build a grand central station before the space in town is gone. A central station that is the center of the overground rail network and also has access to the subway network in the basement level. just a thought .. Also these subway stations by nature will be at depth. imo apart from stairs the quickest way to assend and decend to the lines in the stations is by RC elevator. But imo that should not be instead of a stair access but just an added alternative.

Been online quite a bit today. Taking down my Xmas decorations at my base One thing though, what happened to the End. I keep getting "that warp does not exist" ? Has that build been dismantled ? Oh, and 10/10 for the trap laid at my back door to my gardens. I dug the floor up an it had quite an intricate circuit to it. Nice design using toggle latches and connected to the pressure plate that opens the door. It would have got me nicely if the dispensors were loaded. Maybe that's more of a phychological terror though. Sending a message that if someone had wanted me dead they could have done it with ease. I need a killer guard cat. Last one died when it decided to follow me on the trains. (just for anyone that doesn't know, I don't mind pranks on my base as long as it doesn't do any damage to the buildings or land. there are a lot of underground pipe, wires and structures around my base. or pranks that destroy dropped items. ie: no lava) I will find out who is behind this and i will have my revenge. Wondering if it's the same person who covered every square inch of interior of my shop with paintings that time. ;)

Just wanted to add, just in case anyone thought I was selling my shop because of economy issues that's not the case. I do admit it was very annoying when I was active loging on each day and for the first 20 mins I spent making items to restock the shop knowing full well whoever just previously cleared out the shop had done so after spending 10 seconds next to a transmute table... I wanted to get rid of my shop as my heart is just not in it and when I do get back I want to spend my time on other things. Back on topic: not really had a good look at garretts idea. But I would be very surprised indeed if a solution could be found to make a fair and balanced economy when EE2 is involved. I think all you can do is what is being done now. ie: keep any eye out for people abusing the sustem and strive to make it better. I don't think a full solution will ever be found. Which is why EE2 is banned on economy servers. Single currency yes, but full economy I don't think can be acheived. (unless you get rid of EE2 which is too high a price to pay imo) ps: I seem to be getting notifications again :)

Arieanna I would love to see a friend take it over. But in all honesty I want someone to take it over for good. When I do return I want to concentrate more on my builds rather than the shop. I guess my heart was never in trading So I really want someone to buy it from me. (x1 cake as stated) I very much appreciate your kind offer of running it till I return though, and if you wanted to take it full time that would be cool. But if you didn't want to that's fair enough. But I thought as long as my email stayed the same I should have got mails. Anyway that's not what I'm here about. Iv'e been inactive since just before Xmas. Give or take a few hours online here and there. Honestly, Ive been playing MC every day still. But In single player using the new 1.4.6 mods. Obviously SSP gets boring no matter how cool the mods so I do plan on returning. I only have access to 2 servers. this one and another tekkit 1.2.5. The other one I made a wooden hut when I first joined and never returned lol. So this is my only online home. One thing though. Because of me being inactive lately my shop (logic red power supplies) has been neglected. I hate seeing shops that aren't stocked. Logic was the second or third shop to be built in the market. The first was Ran's and Arachs shop. Then myself and Epyone built shops. I can't recal who opened first out of us two. Long story short it was established in October 2012 and I would like to see it continue. In an ideal world trading under the same name of Logic and selling RP supplies. To that end anyone who wishes to take it over can have the building and everything inside it. Including the safes, trade o mats and what stock and cash flow lays inside. I had quite a lot of stock so even if that's sold there will be a considerable cash flow in those safes. Enough certainly to set up and start trading. When I ran the shop it made a very decent profit. on average around 8 diamonds a day was not uncommon. The only restrictions I make to anyone who wants to take up my offer is: If they accept the building, machines. stock and cash flow they must continue to trade. In other words, no accepting it all and then ignoring the shop. I will no longer have any claim or rights to the bussiness. In fact lets call it a sale. I will sell the bussiness for x1 cake. That way I have accepted payment for a bussiness If no one wants to take over the shop then by all means bulldoz the site and make space for something else. After all an empty shop is useless. Sorry for long wall of text.... Just to recap: I plan to return but wish to sell my business for the price of x1 cake. Therefore even if I'm not around any adim has my blessing to break the safes and and tade o mats and re'assign them to whomever wants to take it over. Including all contents. On the understanding they continue to trade. If there are no takers I give up my rights to the land the building sits on and am happy to see it being used for whatever. Catch ya later. Seriously, redpower engines are good for powering wooden pipes to pump items/liquids into a pipe network, or using 4 to power a pump. A quarry use a hell of a lt of power. Use a steam engine if you want to keep it basic.

What pack are you playing ? It's been a while since I used Technic. (I mainly play on servers) but Technic has Mo'creatures mod that has an option in a seperate section of options the name of I can't remember. Something like global mod options or something. Anyway. In those options is a button to allow despawn of vanilla mobs (including sheep). If your playing Technic you may want to check that. Note: Like I said it's been a fair while since I played Technic so my info could well be out of date. Maybe somene can confirm.

I normally staircase mine down to level 11 and clear out a large area. Then on all the walls in this area (normaly an expanding rectangle) I have entrances to mines with x2 block spaces between each mine. All these mines leading off from this area are just straight lines of 2x1 tunnels extending as far as I can be arsed. Alltough that is how I mine on a server or any normal world. When trying a "the new mod pack" I had to re'think all that as the ores are spread out. No more hitting level 11 and sending of a bore in a straight line. A step in the right direction IMO. Unless you hate mining, in which case it's prob' best to find a different game without mining in the title.

2x industrial diamonds = x1 normal diamond. So x1 Industrial Diamond is Half a normal diamond. X1 Ind' diamond = x4 gems such as saphire, ruby, emerald. For EMC x1 Industrial diamond is about 4000 emc. X1 IC2 credit is about 60 emc, give or take a few. Thats what I made of it all anyway. But tbh someone who can add and subtract should prob' work it out :p

Logic now sells all items using IC2 credits and Ind' diamonds. Some items in the shop have gone up in price... Now, customer feedback is important to me so if you think the new prices are unfair please fill in a customer complaint form and send it to Notch and tell him what a big meanie I am being. Or, you could always make the item yourself I was taking down the Santa enderman today at the spawn and inside the present he was holding was a chest. Inside the chest were diamonds that spelled out "4 U". So wish I had thought of that lol. Great idea to hide a gift inside the gift. Wish I had done some kind of treasure hunt now, next year I guess. Wow, I know Iv'e not been on over Christmas but a lot got done. I will get my shopp changed to new currency later today. Skyscraper looks fab. I put a sign on the floor above the one garrett has to show interest in letting that floorspace. Who's is the quarrys that lead back to the building next to the skyscraper by rail ? And is the building just a base or something with a higher purpose ? Looking good and to whoever did all the work on the bank and skyscraper well done. I didn't get a lot of time to look around but will be back online later today. (still in Xmas time mode) Edit: btw that's a lot of stairs on that skyscraper. Just a susgestion but how about on one side. (side facing away from town near the water) Have x4 glass enclosed express railcraft elevators to certain floors. Slitting the tower into 4 sections. So no matter what floor you want you will only end up needing to travel up or down a few flights of stairs. The central stairs obv' stay for those that don't like lifts or in the event of fire. Another Edit: Concerning currency. Are we using both Ind' diamonds and IC Credits ? Or just IC credits.

Indeed. Merry Christmas one and all. Unrelated: Yesterday. Xmans eve, I think my raid system imploded. Could not load windows at all. Kept getting "bootmgr missing"" Anyway, I dismantled the raid and used one half of it to reinstall windows. But looks like everything on my main drives is gone Windows installed, in the process of installing java, launcher etc etc etc. And Setting up my mail so I can re' request all the passwords I ever used for every site / game and program. I am going back into the soundproof room again to scream obceinties some more. Omg I don't even have spell check, My forum posting is about to become as plagued with mistakes as my ingame chat is.
