I wasn't surprised to see it on FTB because you afterall play on forgecraft together. In your particular case, and after reading what you said It may make sense to limit it to one place until the development is at a stage where you feel comfortable seeing it go out on its way into the world. And just for the record, I would stand up always for your right to do what the hell you like with your mod. And even though I ca't stand the guy I would do the same for FC and his right to do what he wants with BTW. You are entitled to your opinion and believe it or not I have respect for you. But your not going to convince me Slow is not a manipulative person... As I said, anyone wanting to do a nice thing for another person doesn't stand up in front of hundreds of people and say hey look at me and my charity work. You don't ask a friend how much money they are short of on stream and put them in that situation. It's cheap and bad form. That could so have easily been done in a private convo. And most people with any decency would of done just that. And not put you in a position like that. You can't expect me to believe you didn't feel a little uncomfortable when he dropped that on you in public. My opinion comes not from one instance, but from many different things he has done. I certainly was not inferring you were taking a bribe ! I genuinely don't think your that kind of guy. But I don't want to turn this thread into my opinions on Slow. In closing I want to say again so it's clear. I do not think you accepted any gift or favour in exchange for exclusive rights. I didn't think that when I wrote my post, and I don't think that now. Last thing to say on that part, I hear what you said on other things. And I will refrain from dragging you, or your mod into any similar conversation in the future. But you certainly wont change my opinion on him. Not that my opinion really matters anyway. It's just that, my opinion. I don't speak for anyone else. Most of my post was speaking generally about the trend of exclusive content that only harms the end user. I can see how you might of thought I was continuing to talk of you and your mod but it was more aimed at mods in general that have exclusive releases. As I pointed out. It will have little impact on most people who read these posts as they are capable of installing themselves if needs be. But you would be surprised at the amount of people who love modded MC but can't even install a texture pack themselves. Once again I hope you enjoy success with your creation. With the exception of a few others it's one of the more creative mods out there.

Iv'e not been able to get on the server the past 2 days. It's my end not any fault of the server. I do have a connection but my ISP is upgrading the local exchange and It's taking 20 seconds or so just to get onto google. The good news for me is it's supposed to be finished before the weekend, and I will then be getting double the speed I was on before for the same price :)

The past few months we have been getting glimpses on Direwolfs server vids. Soaryn hangs out with Direwolf a lot on server so we get to hear and see a lot of it's development. There are some right pains on that server who despite being there to test out their mods just troll non stop and get on everyones nerves. Those that watch will know who I am talking of. Soaryn though seems like a genuine nice guy. I could see this coming though where he released it to FTB. It was sickening during the FTB launch on stream when Slowpoke make such a huge public deal of what a great guy he is buying Soaryn a piece of hardware. Some tablet if I recall. Any decent person would have done it quietly. I felt sorry for Soaryn as in front of hundreds of people he had to publicly be gracious. Not saying he wasn't grateful, being grateful and having to appear grateful to an audience is not the same thing. Anyway, he seems a nice guy. Although not surprised, I did think he was different. I thought he was a new breed that might help heal the community by not jumping on the bandwagon. He seemed a bit more mature than most of the crowd he mixes with. But I guess that's a hard thing to do, to ignore the pressure and do your own thing. I wish him all the best with this as he has been working really hard on it. Just a bit disappointed that yet again another person is following the trend of screwing over the end user In an attempt to make some kind of point. It wont affect me or most people who read this as we are more than capable of installing ourselves. But Mod packs are there for those that find that hard to do. I thought FTB was going to be a great thing for the community giving rise to competition but sadly it seems they don't think they can compete unless they have exclusive content. No matter how anyone explains it or tries to cut it. That's not good for the community or end user. Still, good luck Soaryn. He deserves some success, and I am looking forward to using this mod. Both for the future function and the decorative side.

Glad your ok. I used to ride motorcycles a lot from teens to late twenties...And I mean a lot ! Until... I was riding along a dual carriageway (2 lanes) doing 40 mph. Guy in a small van decided to violently swap lane into my path. I woke up under a parked car with motorcycle wedged in there too. I don't know how long I was unconscious but needless to say like any motorcycle on it's side it leaked a crap load of fuel. I was very lucky it didn't ignite. Plenty of red hot exhaust ports, and live ignition circuit etc. I walked away from that, but took it as a warning. Wasn't the thought of dyeing, but being burnt beyond recognition that did it for me. I still have neck problems due that accident that cause all sorts of secondary problems. I don't ride anymore. Get well soon, and get a car :p

Not sure if any regen was attempted in town, but part of the original village has returned. The area in question has also reverted to desert biome.

Not sure if it's related. But the latest Direwolf20 vid he mentions he has had talks with Dan200 ? about server crashing when a computer is placed onto frames. This could be only relevant to the mod versions and builds they are using on that server though. But thought I would throw this out there just in case you wanted to check out the vid. linky:

Just a heads up... Anyone trying to log in to the server at the moment may have issues. This is not an issue with the server. What the actual issue is at the moment is still unclear OK seems resolved now. Very odd. Forums were full of people trying to work out what the hell was up and it affected vanilla too so defo at their end. But during the whole time Mojang support were reporting everything was online and fine. With the exception of account services. TLDR: There was a problem. It went away. Edit: unrelated, there was an update that reset my mini map keys. This meant i couldn't access the map gui ingame. If you are affected by this you need to open your launcher folder / tekkit / mods / rei_minimap and find keyconfig text file. The top line is menu key. Change it to whatever you had before. It resets to period key but that has never worked on my keyboard which is why i changed the defaults in first place.

You must log in for only a few minutes each day then cause I havent seen you in online for more than a few minutes in weeks. To Answer your question though, No.... I see lots of the same faces online nearly daily. And these same people spend several hours online at a time. A lot of people though reached their endgame in a matter of days never to return again. Everyones endgame is different. But those with imagination and patience are still building and playing. We also have some very active new players recently joined. It's no where near as full as it was a month ago. But as I predicted, those who play a certain way got bored several weeks ago. Worth noting too in many cases they were the same players calling for a new map several weeks ago. If we had of had a new map it would have brought them back I'm sure... But only for a few weeks until they got bored gain. Also what are these unfinished projects ? I see plenty that are actively being worked on and only a few that lay untouched. And those normally get a sign put on them by a mod in time that if inactive / not used / not finished etc they get cleared to make space. I don't see lot's of unfinished projects accept maybe 2 and those that are being worked on.

I know Ks7 is very busy irl. Have you tried to log into the server ? For yourself and others that is the best way to see if you have been whitelisted or not. If you have, you will gain access. If not it will tell you that you are not on the required whitelist. That is the best way to check...

tbh I skipped any posts that had the words legal or illegal in them. Not just on this subject, but I find amateur internet layers the dullest and most useless discussions on the entire net. But yes, I do find the pack mentality and social aspect of the "rights and wrongs of tekkit" interesting... How intelligent people can ignore facts, and form their own view on a subject to suit their needs or objectives, or be led in a certain direction just to fit in or be too afraid to speak their mind and go against the trend in fear of being excluded from the group etc. I would love to know the active number of tekkit / technic users. As I would wager they are a silent majority. Maybe because of previous lack of choice, but I can't help but think many people who say they hate tekkit are in fact past or active users of the product.

Hating tekkit has become the equivalent of joining a gaming clan / group. Without any knowledge you can watch and listen to some very popular twitch streams and feel part of a group and feel belonging. As you and your fellow players enjoy your common interest of MC and hating tekkit. Yes you can blame mindless kids for not researching the facts themselves. But when people are spouting their own brand of hatred and have such following the facts no longer matter, as they can be conveniently drowned out in any public place where such discussions take place. imo these myths are so rampant because people who do know better don't see it in their interests to heal the community or put people straight.. The most sickening trend is seeing seemingly intelligent MC veteran names being taken in by the hype and miss information lately. Divide and conquer.

That train left a while ago and can be heard raging about collectors and RM anywhere you go. If anyone is sad they missed it fear not. A new train leaves every 20 minutes with plenty of space for all.

World guard would add to our problems imo. Adding a load to the server that's not needed. I'm sure others have noticed too, but this last week or so the world tick rate seems to have taken a real hit. Even with 4 people online it can get really bad. The admin team seem to have stopped the random crashes we had a while ago. (remember all the downtime) and good on them for that. Just wondered if we can look into what has suddenly causing this performance hit. I did notice the tick rate took a hit after I suspect the watch of flowing time was used. Timing on the server is out the window at the moment at times. My short train track that used be smooth now is slower than walking, and things like rs engines that use ticks to calculate temp' take an age to heat up, or heat up in a matter of seconds. Something changed on the server in the last 2 weeks. A build or someone's actions or maybe just the hard drive needs defragging / optimising. It could be anything. Just want to start looking at solutions before it gets so bad we can't avoid it.... PS: Maybe related maybe not. Sometimes back ups are taking forever. And huge lag spikes are happening often. Also I am judging the drop in world ticks on the Sun and moon movement. Glitchy sun and moon and almost always a side affect of ticks trying to catch up. Also i have a digital clock that jumps all over the place at the moment. Backwards, forwards etc.

Could do with an op to clear over 1500 items laying about near west station.

KS mentioned it a few pages ago... As long as they don't feck about with ID's it should be ok with current world. But at the moment been reading a few threads where server owners and players are having issues with 3. So it's prob' wise to wait until it's the recommended build as said. Also there is so much happening in the MC mod world at the moment it's wise to take a slow approach as anything is likely to be out of date rather rapidly. Thinking of the upcoming,and much anticipated release of RP etc. But also keep in mind Eloraam is female. And time is relative. "I will be ready in 5 five minutes" for example, is not the same as the universally accepted 5 minute passage of time. TL DR: There are a bunch of people waiting for Eloraam in the hall... She told them she would be ready in 5 minutes, several hours ago... :(

Can we just hit "report" on Mark now ? it's getting boring. Was fun for a while when he was begging , but now he just trolls and has no business here. Most people would have got a life and moved on by now. The admins on this forum I'm sure would be happy to block his access to this thread but it would need to come from the op. New members applying may think he is relevant. Just reporting the post where he is correcting an applicants grammar and accusing them of being deceitful about their age should do it.
