Or is it just a complete rip off with slightly different art work, but under it all the same code and concept. ? I just checked cheap shot's release notes and that santa kitty is clearly copyrighted. btw, I don't want to make an "aren't we great post" but looking around the web at just about every other RP thread out there, this is the only discussion where people speculated about the release date and then waited patiently. Then when it was released for 1.4.6 there is only gratitude here... Not "omgz no 1.4.5, I has no idea how install it with MC, I CANT USE IT !" posts. Maybe it's cause we been around for some time were used to the fact that people do all this stuff in their spare time I don't no. Just pleased our (real) member base is not full of ungrateful gits. Wow, never thought of that. A dungeon that used frames (as both of you mentioned) to change it's floor plan. Either after you explored it or while you were in it. Come to think of it, finding your way to a central loot point and as soon as you open the loot chest the path you entered by no longer exists and a new route must be found out. *Does the happy dance. Not had any time to try out the release yet. Being a guy and it being a few days before Xmas I have a ton of thing to do I had put of till last minute. But a couple of things caught my eye in a short vid I saw. They were flicking through the pages of NEI and I saw half size lamps ! (or at lest that's what they looked like.) They might just be the icons for inverted lamps for all I know, I dunno. But the other day I was saying to server pals I could really do with half size lamps or micro block lamps Like I said though It was a brief glimpse. I also saw a caged lamp that looked very cool. This looks like it has something for everyone. Whether your a technical builder or have just looks in mind. From the sortatron (possible mistake in what I remember the name was) to chiselled basalt blocks she really gives something for everyone to get excited about. Personally I am looking forward to the new project tables with plans, and can't wait to mess about with the two different types of windmill. The engine also is something I want to mess with. To be fair she says. (para phrasing) "moved to 1.4.6. See what tomorrow brings." Tomorrow being the 21st. So yes it may be outdated, but she gives no indication that she expects a longer delay. But I'm sure like me your not gonna hold your breath. She could find a major world crashing bug in that time Reading her thread and other threads on MCF from the self entitlement brigade is really shocking. Although RP is the one I really am looking forward to part of me would be quite pleased if she announced that she had finished and all was working well... But wont be releasing it. EVER! I have been messing about with Railcraft and a few other 1.4.5 mods. After only playing for a short while I have a quantity of "stolen presents". I can't find any info on these items, but am guessing they may be a part of Railcraft. Although I can't find anything on the RC wikki. They come from mob drops btw. Can anyone shed any light on these "stolen presents" for me please ? In particular what mod are they from, and what use if any do they serve ? Thx.

I have sneaking feeling people are about to burst out of closets at any moment throwing streamers and blowing party whistles shouting "surprise, we almost got ya hahah". As long as there's drinks and a buffet, and I get at least one fumbling snog later on once the party gets going I'm all for it. At first it seemed like something. But soon turned into nothing.

I had always thought It was mainly due to people who got bored and hardly ever play the game. Instead of moving on and having fun with another game, they chose to spend their game time in politics instead. As with any game those types of people are normally a force for the worse. Edit: note that my comments are not directed at whoever the above poster is talking about. I don't even know who the head moderators of those forums are. Sorry, I'm not saying you don't have what you claim, but statements like that just cause people to roll their eyes and no longer take anything at all the person says in any seriousness. That's not a personal attack on you it's simply that nearly every week a post comes up where someone says they have "proof" but won't post yet for whatever odd reason. Then after a time there normally follows a post where the dog ate it, or the hard drive failed and it's lost. Or any countless number of reasons why they can no longer produce any of the "proof" they based their whole thread on. I personally don't see this thread going anywhere.

Just to confirm what theprolo said. I can't recall ever my BC quarries leaving behind anything at all. other than water and lava blocks. Out of interest, how are they not returning non vanilla items. Are they in In broken blocks on the floor, or left in position ? Iv'e never seen either happen but your answer might help work out what's wrong.

Best way I found to teach myself turtles was to download pre written programs. Then use the edit program function to see how they are put together. I don't know how much or how little you know about turtles, but imo the best place to start is simple movement. For example, write a simple program to make it go forward 5 blocks. Turn once to the left. Turn a second time, then return 5 blocks. When you have got movement sorted start adding simple things such as place block or break block etc. Then move onto inventory management. Using it's internal inventory to select certain blocks etc. When you have movement / tasks / and inventory learned you can pretty much do anything. Edit: to do things like break block as I mentioned you will obviously need more than the basic turtle. ie one with a pick. But I'm sure you realise that anyway. Just wanted to be sure ;)

I am pretty sure they sorted it quickly as well... But in truth none of us know that for sure, as none of us know when this happened. All we know is "an earlier launcher" was responsible. Not trying to make something out of nothing here but for all we know an earlier launcher could of been weeks ago. (not that I think it was) This is why I think it's important to give a full timeline when announcing things like this. Example: Is someone who made a paste of a login error 10 days ago at risk or do they have nothing to worry about ? At the moment such speculation only exists because of lack of an honest timeline. As I said in a previous post I don't think that info was left out for any sinister reasons but I think it's valid information. Edit: the quote actually says "recent" rather than "earlier". But my point still stands.

Ultimately we all have a say in the overall issues by voting with your feet. None of us with the exception of creators of forums / launchers / mods etc have any god given rights to use services or post our opinions. We are gusts on the forums we choose to post on. That said we all have a right to be treated with respect if we follow the rules and guidelines laid out by individual services. As pointed out no one is surprised at threads being deleted over at MCF. They unlike other sites are not established because of the love of the game. I do sympathise because if you read and listen to the propaganda out there FTB is a heavenly place of mutual respect and cooperation. However, you said yourself you had listened to slowpokes streams. That alone should tell you how he operates and give some insight into his character and elevated opinion of himself. As for him telling you to F - off although not particularly pleasant I come back to my original point. Anyone posting there (or here) is a guest and has the option to vote with their feet. No one has any rights to be heard or given a platform. If you strike up enough personal convos with anyone they will eventually tell you to get lost. But, like I said I do sympathise that you had to find out the hard way the difference between the carefully cared for public image and the reality of slowpoke are two different things. Ever noticed how someone else is given the job of posting bad news for example ? Or how he posted a thinly veiled hate tekkit post and said it was there for reference so he could point people to it when asked why he hated tekkit. When that post didn't have the desired effect and people began to have a rational discussion about the whole subject he locked it. But if you listen to the propaganda he doesn't get involved in moderating the forums :/ He made a career out of hate, if one day that hate fades away and people get sick of hearing it then he will be in the same situation as everyone else. Where hard work and dedication will be the only option left to make his product different or better than anything else on offer. A lot of people will recognise the issues you posted. But not so many will be surprised or shocked. While we all hold views and opinions we are all here mostly because of the love of modded MC. The circus that is the of the politics of the community is just a sideshow. Welcome to the forum. And if I may offer a bit of advice. (take it or leave it.) On any forum telling a moderator that you will continue to do what they asked you not to by any means at your disposal never goes down well and is ALWAYS taken as provocation. The rights and wrongs of their moderation are secondary. Much in the same way the law in any land and any law enforcers should be respected, and if you come across an unjust law or corrupt official you try to change or report it, not ignore it or carry on breaking that law. Doing the later normally results in jail time.

Thx, tbh anywhere is ok. It's prob a bit too tall to go in town. So anywhere on the outskirts is cool. I would put it on top of my shop lol but I think that's a bit in too many peoples face hehe. How about beside the spawn buildings ? That's out the way enough that's it's not blotting out the sun for people in town but close enough people can see it in distance if they are in market. Also I don't want it too close as not everyone has a fondness for giant enderman bearing gifts. I assure everyone though he won't steal or grief. I can vouch for him. I play on a tekkit server. But I have tried out the FTB launcher and several of it's packs and maps. And I would hope that anyone who has passed an opinion on it has tried it too. Last time I checked we are part of the minecraft modded community. (Even if we are the ones people cross the street to avoid.) When stuff like this happens info needs to flow freely and rapidly. No one wants the repeats of big company names sitting on info like this for weeks. Thankfully people have learnt from the mistakes of others about keeping this sort of thing quiet. Just one thing though. It say's an earlier version of the launcher was responsible for this. I am pretty confident they acted quickly, but would in these situations always prefer to know when this happened. But I appreciate a post was probably put together in a hurry and such info was not left out intentionally.

As far as I can make out the only people affected are those who pasted an error to pastebin (edit: or anywhere) concerning failed login and such fro the console. Regular users of FTB launcher seem to be unaffected. That said though It's never a bad thing to change you password now and then anyway. Thx for the heads up lordlundar.

Any chance I could get a temp' statue i made on my base moved out to the outskirts of town for the Xmas duration. It will be dismantled after. It's quite tall but the footprint is only 8x4. It's not quite finished. I am not happy with the hat and have yet to give it a scarf. But I was hoping to blackmail talk Ana into helping me with the hat. I can't get it right. Anyway I can't face making the the whole thing again so if it's possible to move that would be great. If not, I can deal with it (oh yeah, obv' it has an Xmas theme)
