  1. From what I understand, most of the sounds are downloaded automatically from Mojang. Some of the mods might have custom sounds in addition, but the base sounds are part of minecraft. If they aren't downloading, there isn't a lot you can do about it as far as I know. Maybe since you have a working vanilla minecraft directory, you can take the sound assets from there and copy them over to the technic mod pack folders? There's a resources folder inside each mod pack folder that looks like it contains sounds. Good luck.
  2. If you don't have a mods folder, sounds like Hexxit hasn't yet launched fully. All of the mods are updated/installed when Hexxit is launched.
  3. Do you have one of every set of armor on display somewhere?
  4. If it has enchantments, it can be repaired at an enchanting table. If you have an uncrafting table, you can repair it there as well. http://wiki.technicpack.net/Uncrafting_Table You might even be able to repair it on an Anvil with Ender Pearls, but I haven't confirmed that one.

  6. Have you tried switching back to survival, then using the rift remover? You need to make sure you remove all rifts, if you leave 2 or more they will continue to spread and multiply.
  7. That is troubling. I've got some camouflage trap doors in part of my base, but they've been there for some time and travel back and forth between a Twilight portal hasn't (yet?!?!) destroyed my house. The portal is pretty far away, I use a Dimensional Door to get there, so maybe the distance between them helps?

  11. Searching "Failed to download http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/mods/wildcaves3/wildcaves3-v0.4.2.zip" yields 5 results. Try disabling antivirus temporarily, installing, then once it is successful re-enabling antivirus. Failing that, use the search box at the top and see what the other threads are about...
  12. I've noticed that Chicobo tend to get stuck in fence corners, and that prevents them from growing. Break the corner fence piece, and the Chicobo should instantly grow, given enough time has passed.
  13. The more I look into this, the more I think there's something specific about the room I'm in when I log out. Every time the issue happens, I'm close to the same area. After looking at all the blocks/entities in the room that might be unique to me on the server, I thought it might be the Lich Trophy I have mounted above my enchanting table station. The crash report also says this, about 12 times: Each listing says unknown, has an incrementing number after it, and has empty XYZ coordinates. Other entities in the report have actual coordinates. Looking at your crash report, this seems very similar to my own crash I've been investigating: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/blue-screen-client-crash.49556/ Just for kicks, try setting aside the player's "Redlust.dat" file located in ../world/players. Have Redlust join the server again. If they are able to join, their position will be reset to global spawn, and their inventory will be empty. Have them disconnect, then restore the player dat file that you removed. Have them reconnect, and they should have their inventory and player position back. If this in in fact the same crash I'm running into, it will probably reoccur. I'm still trying to figure out what is causing it, and am not really sure why temporarily setting aside the player dat file fixes it. I *think* it might be a Twilight Forrest entity, but I don't have solid evidence, just anecdotal. Not really sure how you'd go about debugging which entity is causing the crash, short of trial and error. Good luck, and if you find anything out let us know here!
  15. Ah, good catch. Yeah, it should be set to false, assuming you want meteors to fall during the day as well.
  16. … Night takes up 50% of the time in minecraft. By changing this flag, Meteors can fall during the day and the nighttime instead of only half the time.
  17. TConstruct items are not typically enchantable, but there is a way to do it. You have to first apply an upgrade that will provide an enchantment-like ability, such as Fortune/Looting via Lapis. Once the item says it has that enchantment, you should be able to place it on the Enchanting Table and add other enchantments. At least, at one point this worked. I've got a TConstruct pickaxe loaded up with all kinds of Enchantments, but this was before the latest build.

  20. You playing on a Mac? There's been an annoying bug for quite some time, with any version of Minecraft, where the keyboard input stops working right after joining a server or starting a a single player world. Command + Tab out of minecraft, so that the esc menu displays, then mouse over the window and click it again and keep playing. Repeat whenever you start playing. AFAIK, this isn't a bug specific to Hexxit, or even any of the Technic mod packs. It's an issue with minecraft, or possibly the version of LWJGL used. Annoying, but you should only have to command + tab right as you start playing a session, shouldn't need to do it again until you've actually disconnected from the server or possibly even quit the application entirely. If you're not using a Mac, I've got no idea. Try Alt + Tab for Windows and do the same thing, otherwise, good luck.
  21. http://wiki.technicpack.net/Dimensional_Doors Dimensional Doors has a couple of very awesome points. The dungeons/puzzle traps contain some pretty sweet loot, for little effort. Also, you can easily make fast travel between different points in the Overworld (or Nether, The End, and any other Dimension) using Rift Signatures. For instance, I have a Pocket Dimension I created in my house that has doors to The Nether, The End, and my buddy's base all the way across the world, and all I need to do is open one door. There's a bit of a learning curve, sure, and I think you're just going to have to chalk up your little experiment as a failure and remember to be more prepared before going through those doors, but there's hope. You can get out of Limbo into the Overworld again. Just keep going down (NOT DIGGING DOWN, just walking).
  22. Unfortunately, the only suggestion I have for that is downgrade to Java 6 and revert LWJGL. I haven't been able to get good performance out of them on 3 different Macs. Sorry.
  23. No, this change happened in version 1.3.5 of Tinkers' Construct. Hexxit 1.0.4 was the first version to include this build.   24. Your technic folder should stay right where it is. How exactly did you update LWJGL? There should be a bin folder inside the Hexxit folder, with 3 jar files that need updating and an entire natives folder.
  25. Diamond has never worked as a Tinkers' Construct base material. It can be added to completed tools on the Tool Station or Tool Forge.
