  1. http://wiki.technicpack.net/Soul_Shard Enjoy!
  2. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/error-while-installing-hexxit.49612/ Third report I've seen for this. What antivirus you running?
  3. I don't get 20 crashes per hour for BetterStorage. It seems to me that there is something about your setup, or the steps being taken or blocks being used in your server is causing the issue.
  4. Do you have any idea how many coders we are talking about? I count at least 37 on http://wiki.technicpack.net/Hexxit alone, not including the mods in which a developer took over from someone else. It is, for all intents and purposes, 'rocket science' that it works at all. The Technic Dev team isn't the only developer here to point fingers at. Report an issue, and if it's something that can be investigated or sent back to the mod developer, it will be. Complaining that Hexxit is a poorly coded mess of mods isn't helpful or constructive, and pointing to other people experiencing issues is like going to a hospital in any major city and proclaiming the entire city is infected with sick people. Of course you are going to hear about crashes in a Forum designed to help people with issues. That's by design.
  5. You need to equip the Backpack to the chest armor slot for that to work. Also, make sure it is the right kind of backpack: http://wiki.technicpack.net/Backpack, or http://wiki.technicpack.net/BetterStorage. The Backpack from Backpacks mod works with B. Otherwise, place the backpack on the hotbar and use it.
  6. David_Wolfe, you rock all kinds of awesome. Thanks for the descriptive entries! Take care, editing wikis can be habit forming. Consult a doctor if you find yourself up at odd hours of the night meticulously editing damage values and whatnot. Oh in the interest of getting this topic back on track, we could take further discussion here: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/wiki-help.48288/ Thanks again guys!
  7. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/error-while-installing-hexxit.49612/ Looks like an overeager antivirus program.
  8. I don't know what you are doing wrong, but I have very few crashes. The one crash I am dealing with now is some kind of obscure issue that is affecting only my player data on the server, other users of the server aren't having the issue. You still haven't provided your own crash report, in the Bug Board I linked to earlier. How do you expect anyone to do anything about the issue you are having unless you provide more than the paltry circumstantial evidence you've given so far?
  9. OUTSTANDING. And don't worry about not having any knowledge of wiki language, I started learning it myself just a few months ago. Most of the major contributors for this are new to wiki code, and I see the page you've built fits well with the rest of the pages already written. Thanks so much!
  10. Kind of disappointing you'd jump to conclusions, make unfounded accusations and assume the crashes are the fault of the Dev team with no proof, and then have the gall to ask for help. If you have a genuine concern, go post a crash report to the Hexxit Bug Board and maybe, if you aren't an ass, you'll get some help.
  11. I could use your guys help on the Official Hexxit Wiki in the Tinkers' Construct section, if you could spare some time. Seems like we've got some knowledge here that could be shared. The Cleaver and the Shortbow, for example, still need to be written or fleshed out.
  12. Your username is the same information you use to sign into minecraft.net, whether it is an email address or just a username. Sign in using your email and the password used to sign into minecraft.net.
  13. Can you sign in here: http://minecraft.net/login If so, use that information. If not, then you'll need a minecraft account so buy one or contact Mojang to figure out why you can't login.
  14. This is what I see shortly before the crash. GUI starts to load, no world or minimap rendered: Seconds later, entire screen is blue, stays like this for 10-15 seconds then a crash report.
  15. Turn off antivirus and firewall and try again. Looks like something is interfering with the download.
  16. Turn on Advanced OpenGL if it isn't already on.
  17. Yeah, it seems like the player dat file itself isn't the problem, but removing it, connecting to the server to have a new dat file created, then disconnecting and restoring the original dat file is enough to (temporarily) resolve the issue. It's happened 3 or 4 times now. What else does the server store that is specific to the players who connect to it? Why would creating a new dat file temporarily resolve the issue?
  18. It's not broken, it's incomplete. You can make Heart Canisters and place them in this GUI, and you can also make a Knapsack to place there.
  19. At first we thought it might have something to do with the 1.0.4 and 1.0.5 updates, since my client crashes happened to coincide with the server being updated, but today it's happening once again. I've found we can also use an NBT editor to either move the XYZ coordinates for the player, or remove the 'pos' entry entirely without losing the rest of the player data. My gut says this is some issue with a block or particle effect in the area where I typically log out. I have a full thief set so I'm constantly seeing the purple status effect particles, and I've got a meteor shield and legendgear skybeam block with pedestal nearby. I'm going to try breaking both of those and see if that helps, and unequip the thief set before I log out to see if that helps. Bloody annoying, having to edit my player dat in an NBT editor all the time.
  20. Double click the NEI search bar.
  21. Two mysterious L friends? Larry and Lyle! Linda and Leah? Man this is good, I'm getting popcorn.
  22. Methinks it is that person's real name, as they allegedly know each other. Maybe 'Larry'? 'Linda'? Wait, first it was L****, later it's L***… could be any name at all that starts with an L!
  23. I think it is quite entertaining, really.
