Hexxit problems? Maybe fixed in the future.

We don't support optifine, but I'd install it into Modpack.jar instead of Minecraft.jar. And don't remove META-INF from modpack.jar. -
You didn't modify launch.bat?
-
Just in general, we have no control over the sound- minecraft doesn't ship with sounds, it downloads them at runtime, and we can't really do anything about that process.
-
Wow, I haven't seen these before! Rule of thumb: green pawprint next to their portrait means friend, red pawprint means foe. Watch out for ghosts! Also, I should specify that TConstruct ores are still down below if you're interested in making a smeltery ,but for most the surface has all the ores you need. Stop mining and get exploring!

It sounds like your HD pack is pushing you over the edge in terms of memory. You can increase your memory allocation from the cogwheel in the upper right hand corner of the launcher. -
Try deleting your .technic/hexxit folder and clearing the cache folder- then wait a bit. We're having problem with our zip library choking on zips with a lot of little files.
-
Download link is at technicpack.net/hexxit

Hi, the ore is intentional, but it's not big dig's generation (big dig has HUGE veins, hexxit's are normal sized). Most of hexxit's interesting world generation is on the surface, so ordinary ores (p. much everything except for TConstruct ores, which we left down below so you could do a few underground incursions if you want) spawn at the same rate at all y levels, to let you play on the surface where the action is. You're just as likely to find gold, diamonds, redstone, iron, lapis, coal ,and emeralds at y=70 as you are at y=10.

There are definitely some cool BD caves to get murdered in down there, so don't let me stop you. -
What kind of stuff was in the chest? That'll tell me what loot table to check.
-
You can also downgrade java to 1.6.0_45 and keep the old lwjgl, but that might be more frustrating. As a general rule, we stopped carrying the newer LWJGL version for now because of the upside-down issue, so you might have to manually upgrade your packs' LWJGL on the regular if you want to hold onto java 1.7.
-
1. Try deleting your .technic\hexxit folder 2. If the launcher stops animating when it gets to that point, it's working, just extracting tons of little files takes awhile with our current ziplib, so give it a bit.
-
See how that works for you, but if you have issues with the new LWJGL the answer is to downgrade java to 1.6.0_45.
-
There's no mirror download, but the download's not the problem, it's unpacking the zips, so it wouldn't do you a lot of good.
-
Where was the chest? Does opening it after reloading still crash? Can you give me your map if so?
-
Our zip library in the launcher doesn't appreciate zips with a lot of small files, which both BD and Ruins have big-time. We've split out those files to like 5 separate "data" mods to reduce the sizes a bit, but it's still a little weird.

What's up? Hexxit is about awesome times getting murdered by walkers. If you're mining underground you're doin it wrong. -
We actually have 30-50% more traffic than we did with Tekkit, probably on account of it's summer now. It'll unwind over the next couple hours.
-
I think everyone's being plenty appreciative, but everyone here loves to cut up. I was uncertain about people data mining the (unfinished) mod list, but I'm glad now that people are linking the mods' pages- a lot of these mods are new to our community, so giving everyone the chance to read up on them a bit could be pretty great. See you guys friday morning.

Er, no. The dungeons are just blocks, there's no way for them to be removed once they're in.

He has arrived by means of glorious hookshot. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1668255-151-forge-sspsmp-legendgear-items-and-more-drawing-inspiration-from-zelda/

It's kind of funny because Campaign was actually the last tile to be added and up until that point, you could read the story as though the Thief was just some dick following the Warrior and Archer around, unbeknownst to them, and stealing all the treasure.
-
I believe there's a DungeonPack.cfg in your configs folder.
-
Er, I don't see any evidence in that log that you have MCPC+ or Forgebukkit installed. Soo...?

Could you post an entire log?
