  1. No, bukkit servers have plugins, not mods.

Mods add new assets to the game: blocks, items, GUIs, monsters, sounds, and particles.

Plugins alter the way the server behaves: Teleporting players, altering/preventing monster spawns, editing the world, protecting areas from groups of players.

Mods can do anything a plugin can.

Plugins cannot do everything a mod can.

Mods require the client to have the mod as well.

Some mods are client side only, and cannot run on the server.

Plugins are specific to bukkit servers and cannot run on the client.

  2. Not sure if this is where to post this but I'm new here. I am having a problem with the Launcher. I registered with Technic site and I downloaded the Launcher. I log into the webpage with no problem but when I try to login from the launcher it says that my user name and password does not match. In both the web site and on the launcher I type the info in. On the launcher I have gone as far as deleting the one that I have and redownloading it. What am I doing wrong and How do I resolve this matter.

The launcher requires your minecraft game login so it can contact the mojang servers and get the necessary game files.

You cannot play with a technic forum or technic platform account. Those just give access to the services here.

  3. If a player tried to trans-locate somewhere using this new drive where blocks already existed, would it just not let them or would Bad Thingsā„¢ happen?

Teleport would fail. Basically all it would do is create a phantom translocator at (current position + drive distance) and do a normal translocate to it. Not much code would be needed and it could reuse the current CC integration.

  4. I just wanted to know if he was using google translate, in which case there is no point in him translating the wiki, as you'd get the same result by just copy-pasing the current wiki into Google-translate.

Though, re-reading my comment, I see how it easily could be taken as a pointless insult.

He can speak czech and can therefor proof read the google translate results.

If he doesn't speak english then he can't proof read this post and the grammar suffers.

  5. The way he wrote that is "horrible, just horrible". Writing a signature, is horrible? ROFL.

The message is a standard automated reply. When giving warning we have a list of standard warning to choose from, of which that one is the signing name in post option.

And what is an infraction point anyways?

An infraction point is an expiring tally of rule breaking. Hit a certain level and the forum software will inform the local populace that you lack the ability to follow the rules. Earn enough and you'll be barred from posting until some of your points expire.

And he thinks that I did not post my full crash log... What an idiot, thinks he knows everything...

Are you refering to jay? here?

I assume so because this is lumped in as a reply to your warning, but jay? has had no other interaction with you that I can see. It was dwwojcik that told you to post a full report.

Another thing to this "Jay?", why would he write my name on the top of the message? I already know my forum name and it's on two other places at the messages page. Horrible, just horrible.

Because the PM is addressed to you, as in "Hey forntonio". It is not Jay? name dropping for the sake of reminding you who created the message.

Though I'm sure if you truly believe it to be unfair we can instead have further warning PMs address you in a different manner. "Whiny self-important child" would be a descriptive enough without using your actual forum name, wouldn't you agree?

Now, are you done ignoring the rules and whining about the quality of support fellow players have volunteered? If so this thread can die a swift death as interest in it disappears.

  6. 1 fisher, 1 biofuel generator, 1 bioreactor, 1 Deep Storage Unit(DSU), 1 vanilla hopper, and 2 ranchers. Plus some conduit for power and item transport pipes.

Build a 5x5 pool 2deep and place in it atleast one squid, use a jailers safari net to transport it (so it never despawns).

Place the fisher above the pool in the middle. Pipe or other storage away as needed.

On one side of the pool, place a rancher facing in on each level in the middle.

From the ranchers go to the DSU.

Under the DSU put the hopper.

Under the hopper put the bioreactor.

Next to the bioreactor put the biofuel generator.

Conduit from the generator to the 2 ranchers and the fisher.

Ranchers get ink sacs from the squid, DSU and hopper act as a buffer (so the output never spills out), bioreactor turns ink sacs into biofuel for the generator, generator powers ranchers with ample to spare for the fisher.

  7. Osmotic power is only viable where you have a supply of fresh and salt water, so it's a viable generator in costal areas but is worthless for pretty much anywhere else.

Lucky a significant portion of the human population liked the idea of beachfront property.

  8. Recent advances in graphene production have increased the probable efficiency of future osmosis power generators by up to 1000 times. No, that's not a typo.

I read that. I really hope they can get that into production because 1m^2 of membrane to power 3 homes is pretty darn good.

  9. Well, I know I'm late to the party but I just got KSP. Let's see how great this really is.

Once you get a feel for it pick out some mods. As an early access game it definitely needs some extra features and parts over the base game.
