  1. For posterity: I just deleted 7 other threads identical to this from the hexxit server section. Low effort server beggars and Sara's advertising spam.

I personally don't think what i am doing is wrong, and it is a she :P not he :D i am 31 years old, an if you have an issue with my post take it up with the mods, no need to spam someone elses thread just to talk smack to me :) and people don't always look there, sorry i am active and keep up with peoples post when i get time to. I dont see anything wrong with me offering my server, and i do have a post up in the server section, but i don't want to bump it to get it to the top, im sure i can get into trouble for that, so when i see a post about someone looking i post on it. No harm no foul as far as im concerned.

The threads you posted in were in the wrong section anyway. The server section is only for advertising your own server.

If you want to target those users, do it through PM then help us mods by reporting their threads so we can keep the server section clean. That way actual servers have more front page time and users have an easier time looking through it.

  2. Buildcraft is open source and contains all the MJ framework you need for your solar panel. I'd start there.

MCP can also deobfuscate most mods just fine. IC2 is a problem because alblaka hid the energynet code behind some trick that MCP's decompiler throws up on, but you can see the rest of the mod just fine with it.

  3. What is the point of this thread? This is not instant messaging, you don't do small talk on a forum. Perhaps in kitty jail, but you most definitely shouldn't make an entire thread for idle chatter.

Oh, leave him be. He's obviously pleased with the Richs bounty his Yard garden has provided to him this summer in delaware.

  4. Dewfire is correct. The only way to rectify your situation is to go online mode.

Offline mode lets non-premium users connect because all it does is turn off authentication and trust whatever name the client sends the server. There is no other identification, just the name.

  5. Neowulf, all kinds of them. Critical errors, Hardware Problems, Warnings that my system is corrupted..

FYI, that's the first indication an error is bogus. Software helpfully telling you your harddrive has failed is like a 5 year old helpfully telling you her 9 month old sister is the one who stole the oreos from the kitchen counter, the ones you didn't know were missing.

Yes, that analogy does come from personal experience...

  6. I'm watching the tac life support plugin. You have to worry about air, environmental conditioning (electric), food, and water. It just needs recyclers and generators so offworld colonies are viable.

Once the realism mods mature enough I'm going to be adding a couple in. Tac for life support plus remotetech so my kerbalnauts have a reason to leave mission control, and possibly one of the computer simulators if I need something to augment RT2's guidance computer.

  7. Yes, I'll have it synced with dropbox in a couple minutes.

As for timewarp, that line of thinking is what made kethane scanning a pain.

Time does matter, especially if you have other flights with non-stable orbits going on. And if you add in a life support plugin (which I will once tac life support matures a bit) time becomes a major limiting factor since you can't run converters on non-active ships.

Realistically the kethane plugin should support off-deposit mining and depleted deposit yields. Iron isn't only present in ore deposits, and both iron and energy resource (oil, nat gas) extraction operations don't stop because they drain the deposit, but because they got the easily available stuff. With the right tools and enough work (energy x time) you can get build and fuel a rocket pretty much anywhere.

  8. Lotsa tweaking and updates over the last week or so. HOME, kethane, spitfire, and extraplanetary launchpads all had nice updates and I went through fixing sas discrepancies and other bugs from mods not fully updating.

Started a new game today and got most of my bootstrap setup done. Just need one more load of metal shipped to minmus and I'll be able to get the miner and smelter built to make it self sufficient (till the deposits run out).

Just wish they had a lighter smelter part. Something that weighed less in exchange for slower work rate and higher power use.

  9. Yup. You start with the microscope to see what it takes to make an item you need (which will usually be exactly what it will give when pulled apart). From there you put feedstock items (something readily available) to get the elements you need, and use the synthesizer to turn those base elements into the item you want.

Some elements only have one source and use so the item is impossible to synthesize from other items normally (fusion chamber changes that). And the most readily available elements are C, H, O, and Si, so either dedicate a lot of storage for those or learn to make use of them (Carbon is nice in mass quantities because a diamond requires 256, and H2O comes with a free bucket oddly enough).
