  1. Yup. You start with the microscope to see what it takes to make an item you need (which will usually be exactly what it will give when pulled apart). From there you put feedstock items (something readily available) to get the elements you need, and use the synthesizer to turn those base elements into the item you want. Some elements only have one source and use so the item is impossible to synthesize from other items normally (fusion chamber changes that). And the most readily available elements are C, H, O, and Si, so either dedicate a lot of storage for those or learn to make use of them (Carbon is nice in mass quantities because a diamond requires 256, and H2O comes with a free bucket oddly enough).
  2. Make sure you can play vanilla off the mojang website. Then use that same login with the launcher.
  3. Based off a post you made last year I definitely have to ask. Did you buy minecraft?
  4. Good luck, and have fun.
  5. With forge: Your mod works with others. Without forge: Your mod better be pretty impressive because it won't work with anything else without major effort on your part. An alternative would be making a bukkit plugin. You can't add any new blocks, items, or entities, but you can still do a lot just messing with game behavior. Just look at mcmmo, towny/factions, and the various economy plugins.
  6. Where did you get that idea?
  7. This is funny in so many ways. But no no, let me help you: The quality of the help you receive is directly proportional to the quality of the request you make and your response. Your request is of poor quality, with the over use of punctuation, spotty capitalization, and questions about basic modding principals answered many MANY times before. Your response latched on to one tiny portion of my reply and treated it as if I had just slapped your mother while pissing on your dog. Yes, you did post on the technic forums. If you had bothered to do even a cursory skim-through of this place you would know we require effort on your part before we even consider expending effort on our part. The only effort you have shown so far is an attempt to prove your maturity over me, and a rather touching effort in your first two posts to make sure your punctuation is atleast doubled so the poor periods have a friend and aren't so lonely. You're quite happy to talk down to me like a 10 year old, so by my general observations online that would put you in the late teens/early 20's age range. As such you should be perfectly capable of utilizing that magical text field every single forum in existence features, the wondrous box known as the Search. I know you have failed to use it because by now a monkey on a keyboard would have ended up with "1.6" completely by random as a search term and found the dozen or so "Why don't you have 1.6 in the launcher yet?" threads, any of which would have answered both your 1.6 confusion and inability to connect to your server after changing your installed mods. Considering I'm one of the Judge, Jury, and Executioners of this forum, known simply as a Moderator, I don't think that's actually possible. In the future, start off by showing the full capabilities of your grammar. You didn't bother putting in any effort until I pissed you off.
  8. Ahh, so that uppercase WTF and liberal use of punctuation for emphasis of your frustration was meant to be casual. Like a bridge club discussing hobby lobby rearranging their doily section. The technic packs are just modpacks, no different from any other forge+mods install (well, beyond the modpack.jar/minecraft.jar separation the launcher does). Same capabilities, same limitations. Do some research before having a hack at things. It will save you time and frustration.
  9. When connecting to a server the client has to have all the mods the server does and with the exact same versions. As for the MC version, it will be updated once the pack is updated, which will happen after all the mods in the pack have updated to 1.6. It's not as easy as just chucking mods at minecraft and everything works, so please stop doing just that then raging when it doesn't work like you want it to.
  10. It's a bit confusing. Minechem has gone through like 5 developers so far. The last one for 1.4.7 was still based off BC instead of UE, so it's perfectly compatible. Though even the new UE version can use BC MJ to power it.
  11. Was there a point to your post, or did you just create an account to call some random thing bullshit?
  12. Try the Bug section, not a bump.

  14. I wish: More like it:
  15. Ahh, Weird Al. A song for every occasion.

    Play nice kids.
  17. Yeesh. 0.21 uses quite a bit more memory, and my poor 4gig system can't run anything else with it. Finally got around to updating the mods that I could. So far it's nice, and my rocket designs fit well with the (A)SAS changes. Map twitching with kethane and mechjeb is definitely a problem, need to track down that plugin I saw a couple days ago that fixes it. Once I find it I'll update the pack I threw together, if anyone is interested.
  18. MFR vine scaffolding. Already in Tekkit. Artifice scaffolding. I'm pretty sure there's a couple other simple mods out there that add scaffolding.
  19. Mkay. I was about to just hit spamcleaner on Battcon's posts (I'm feelin lazy), but that would have gotten rid of Adampaul111 as well. Identical IPs. I'm going to assume it's a roommate or sibling and not some odd attempt at trolling by insulting himself.

    The Sims

I find it really confusing that the only marginally sims like games I can find are The Movies (which is 8 years old, 7 years out of support, and is more business than social sim), a pair of adult games called Singles (which seem to be porn disguised as the sims), and that playboy mansion game. This genre has people paying hundreds of dollars for what is soon to be the 3rd rehash of their doll house. How has this been passed up by the other studios out there? One of the big boys could whip out a feature complete base game with a sears catalog DLC store and make a killing off everyone switching.

    The Sims

    11. They've had info about sims 4 out for awhile now, but they still decided to design the create a new expansion for sims 3. That makes it 11 expansions. I have the first 5 expansions for 3 already, but catching up would take another $150 + whatever the new one would cost. Screw that. The game is fun and all, but not ~$500 of fun. Infact, I'm going to putz around in Unity tonight as see what kind of movement AI the free version may or may not have. I really like the game concept of the sims but damn if I'm paying $40 x 12 + $20 x (however many gameplay features they implemented as store purchases) just to get a feature complete game.
  22. Kinda like with minecraft updates, it's going to be best to wait awhile for things to catch up. I'm actually thinking about gutting out a couple bland mods I had and add in some of the realistic/harder mods. Remote tech, modular fuels, and TAC life support mainly. Remote and life support mean probes are harder but manned missions are even worse. All in all it'll make things much more interesting.
