Moderators AetherPirate Posted January 11, 2015 Moderators Posted January 11, 2015 I got my start there, watched a couple instructional videos, and have a working pack.
The_Doctors_Life Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) First off, the download link should be something like this https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/5pp2bvjazsdyyob/Mods.zip?dl=1 this is because the launcher can't click "Download" links and needs to download it directly. Second of all, this guide should help you properly make your modpack If you have any issues following the guide, feel free to ask and I can look at your pack and help you out. Lrd_Herobrine Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Ok thank you! The_Doctors_Life 1
ChaosTheDude Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 You're missing OpenModsLib, a core mod required to run OpenBlocks. Download from http://openmods.info and add it to the mods directory. Also, this shouldn't be causing any issues with the pack, but I believe Flan's Mod doesn't really add any content without content packs added, such as Modern Warfare Pack, Simple Parts Pack, etc (just to name a few). You can download these from http://flansmod.com/content-packs and add them to a Flan folder inside the root directory of your archive.
Lrd_Herobrine Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Could that be the source of the crash?
Lrd_Herobrine Posted January 17, 2015 Author Posted January 17, 2015 Downloaded OpenModsLib, but its still not working
ChaosTheDude Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 Seems like there was an issue with the OpenBlocks-Mod-1.7.10 (1).jar that you had in the mods folder. I replaced that one with the latest version of OpenBlocks from http://openmods.info and got past that initial error. However, you're also missing Grim3212 Core, ResonantEngine, Mantle, UnlversalElectricity Core, and perhaps a few other necessary core mods that I'm not remembering off the top of my head. Download these, add them to the mods directory, and proceed from there.
ChaosTheDude Posted January 17, 2015 Posted January 17, 2015 No problem, let me know if you're still having problems after this.
Discord Moderator plowmanplow Posted January 17, 2015 Discord Moderator Posted January 17, 2015 You should probably be using AE2rv2 instead of AE2rv1. Nearly all your mods are named simply <modname>-1.7.10. Almost no mod authors provide their mods with names without version numbers. The implication is that you aren't getting the mods from their respective mod authors. This is always bad. Your versions of OpenBlocks and OpenModsLib do not match (see previous bullet point). Update the latest matching versions. Gravity Science mod requires Grim3212 Core mod. Get both from the author's website. You have an ancient version of MFFS and are missing the required dependency library Resonant Engine. You have (and amazingly ancient version of) Tinker's Construct mod but not the dependency mod Mantle. MCHeli is not installed properly. CharZinta 1
