MrFly Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 I was just curious if anyone farmiliar with the addon to any internet browser (except for internet expl:butt:rer) knows if it is legal to use?
MrFly Posted November 10, 2012 Author Posted November 10, 2012 I don't know. I was just wondering because I am not one of much to partake in illegal actions. I can also now smoke weed since it's (partly) legal in some states :3. anywho I was wondering.

So instead of being prosecuted by the state government, you can be prosecuted by the federal government, and go to federal prison.

Marijuana is still classified as a schedule I narcotic. now, cops are just less likely to bust you for it. also: to OP. adblock is not illegal. a lot of people don't like it because they don't get paid for displaying their ads, but it's a legal and acceptable tool to protect yourself from fake download buttons, malicious adservers, and flashy lights.
dragonshardz Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 If you don't have an adblocker installed, then you are doing Internet wrong.
Cheap Shot Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 If you don't have an adblocker installed, then you are doing Internet wrong. Unless you're blocking our ads. Then you're some kind of monster! :smith:

The thing is, it makes you feel OK with doing nothing, and come-on do we really need more people feeling comfortable watching the world go by without acting upon it? It's personal choice, but I choose not to use it.

okamikk Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 You're all way off topic. yeah! we need to be talking about the monsters that block kaker's ads!
warpspeed10 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 yeah! we need to be talking about the monsters that block kaker's ads! If the monsters mash the ads, is it considered an ad-yard smash? XD If you are using adblock properly, you are able to dictate which websites you want to block/allow and what type of ads you want to block/allow. This allows you to turn off those incessant ads that spam YouTube while at the same time supporting your favorite sites.

Some websites I don't know how I would ever know what was real and what was an ad without adblock. It's also nasty hitting a site that thinks you REALLY NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ONLINE POKER LOOK PLEASE LOOK HERE ARE THREE MORE BROWSER WINDOWS PARTY POKER PARTY POKER local singles fucksite.
GreenWolf13 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Unless you're blocking our ads. Then you're some kind of monster! I'm sorry cheap shot, but if I don't block the ads, they cover the user list and other important parts of the forums.
MrFly Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 I'm sorry cheap shot, but if I don't block the ads, they cover the user list and other important parts of the forums. Wait there is an important part of this forum?!
The Merchant of Menace Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 I have adblock enabled everywhere except here - Because the ads are pretty unobtrusive, and I have no real reason to block 'em and Bay12 - Because it has no ads.

I put "disable on this page only" on this exact page. Will this also unblock the whole technic forums?
The Merchant of Menace Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 No, you need to do a "disable on Technicpack.net"
Cheap Shot Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I'm sorry cheap shot, but if I don't block the ads, they cover the user list and other important parts of the forums. Do you read the forums on a small screen or mobile or something? I know what you're talking about but it doesn't effect anyone on a pc unless they shrink their windows too far. And what I can see it doesn't really cover anything important.
GreenWolf13 Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Do you read the forums on a small screen or mobile or something? I know what you're talking about but it doesn't effect anyone on a pc unless they shrink their windows too far. And what I can see it doesn't really cover anything important. 99% of my internet/computer usage is done on an iPad. And the parts the ad covers include the online user list, which I find important. Plus, when I have the ad-blocker off, I get some strange ads. Even video game ads are reaching the point of being borderline pornography. The last thing I need is for someone to look over my shoulder to see an ad with a scantily clad female warrior (something in almost every RPG game these days).

The last thing I need is for someone to look over my shoulder to see an ad with a scantily clad female warrior (something in almost every RPG game these days). Too true... Did they redefine RPG to something else? Perhaps RPG stands for Random Pornographic Game or something now? Either that or the only way they get players is by trying to make people think their game is something...else.
The Merchant of Menace Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 It's because the average person who subscribes to those games is a horny twelve year old who hasn't figured out how to disable the porn filter.
Cheap Shot Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Also because it's google, you can expect to see ads geared toward your interests. Titties? In MY ads?! Well I never!
The Merchant of Menace Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 Apparently it think I might need to leave the country in a hurry.
Cheap Shot Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 It served me amazon baby item ads for a while. What are you trying to say google!!!!
