So I am making a modpack for my friend's server and whenever it loads up it acts like its modded and stuff but is vanilla. All the mods and config files are there was well as bin. Can someone please explain the problem?

The modpack is called Steel Armies PvP: Tech and War

  • Always provide the API URL or a link to your Platform pack page when requesting custom modpack assistance.
  • When using dropbox, change: "www" to "dl", "dropbox" to "dropboxusercontent", and remove "?dl=0" or "?dl=1"
  • Your /bin/modpack.jar is named "modpack.jar.jar". Google "windows explorer always show file extensions" to learn how to prevent this issue.
  • Flan's weapon packs go in /Flan/ not /mods/Flan/
  • You should be using the Latest versions of ChickenBones' mods (CCC, NEI)

  • Your pack settings still indicate a version of 1.0. It is imperative that the pack version number be incremented any time the pack data or metadata is altered in any way.
  • You should be using the most recent release of Tinkers' Construct available on CurseForge, not v1.8.8
  • 1 month later...

So my friend wanted to change up his server, having me make another pack and I seem to be having the same issue again, opening up as vanilla again, but I am not quite sure why after I reviewed this page

Downloading your modpack, it seems that your bin/config/mods folders are placed in a subfolder. They need to be in the top folder to work correctly.

  • As @JaariAtmc mentioned, your modpack version is still at 1.0. Since you have changed your pack data this will need to be incremented. Always increment your pack version number any time you alter your pack data or metadata.
  • Your Damage Indicators mod is not from a legitimate source (pretty sure I've mentioned this to you before).
  • If you are turning this into a server make sure you do not attempt to use one of the Cauldron derivatives. The Lord of the Rings mod does not work well with anything but Forge (it has a fatal issue when generating structures), and the LotR team specifically declines to support anything but Forge.

You have not mentioned the damage indicators thing before, so I assume that is just the link to the modpage is incorrect. And thanks but we have used LotR before. But by version is 1.0 do you mean when setting up the pack on technic the Minecraft Version is set to 1.0 and not 1.7.10? because I am certain it is 1.7.10

mods\CodeChickenCore-1.9-2.0.1.53-universal.jar

You have included CodeChickenCore for Forge/MC 1.9 instead of the one for 1.7.10. Get the latest CodeChickenCore for 1.7.10 and you should be fine.
