TriDeapthBear Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 (edited) I am trying to create a modpack and I have the file for the minecraft files in a zip file. It loads fine, but when I load it up, instead of having mods, its just vanilla. It is version 1.2.5. Please help thanks! Edited April 28, 2017 by TriDeapthBear New situation

It sounds like your Bin folder does not have the forge universal, renamed to modpack.jar (or perhaps you don't have "show hidden file extensions" on, and the name is really modpack.jar.jar and you don't know it.)

JaariAtmc Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 It may also be that you zipped the "modpack" folder, while you should zip the contents of said folder. So it should be like (modpack.zip -> bin/config/mods) AND NOT LIKE (modpack.zip -> modpack -> bin/config/mods).
