Thanks that worked, but I still have the issue with adding RAM to the server. Is there anyway to fix that?

Open TextEdit and paste this in:

cd ~/Desktop/Explosives-Craft-2-Server/

java -Xms3G -Xmx3G -jar Explosivescraft-server.jar -o true

Make sure to replace
~/Desktop/Explosives-Craft-2-Server/
with the directory of the server And here
java -Xms3G -Xmx3G -jar Explosivescraft-server.jar -o true
you can chose how much ram to use by replacing the 3's with the amount of gigs you want to use. Also make sure to replace the Explosivescraft-server.jar with the name of the server.jar Then save it as a .txt file and name it start.command and not start.command.txt Then open terminal and change directories to the start.command Then type in

and press enter

Finally, run start.command!

I hope this helps!

If not, you can talk with me on http://www.masterzach32.net/

chmod +x start.command

I don't know, i figured someone out here know how to fix that problem -_-

Lol.

I'll take a guess at your problem your trying to run forge. Simple trick:

1.Create a folder called bin

2.Download your appropriate version of Forge

3.Rename it Modpack.jar

3 Easy steps.

I'm assuming you know how to set up the rest of the pack.

Your mod folders need to be the root. You cant have it a sub directory of modpack.

If I were accessing modpack.jar it would need to be /bin/modpack.jar not /modpack/bin/modpack.jar

Ok SO I'm trying an ambitious and more than likely insane modpack:

Direct DL Link: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/137554119/Mega-Adventure-Mode-1.0.zip

It doesn't download via the launcher, the zip only get's 1-3 kb down then "Error Unzipping...."

I have ready these threads, followed tutorials, redone, reuploaded and the like.

Nothing works!

I liked the old launchers method it was less complicated and you could experiment without smegging it up.

If you have any thoughts or ideas please let me know.

Edit: Ahha, change destination folder, via launcher platform, it downloaded, now all I have to do id debug it....

Okay, I have looked all over this thread, and i still cant find a solution to my issue.

I am using dropbox to host my pack. It looks like its downloading but then it gets an error unzipping. I followed the error and looked at the cache folder in the particular modpack, and is only downloaded 22kb, or of the 23 mb. So i changed the destination folder. Now my modpack loads Forge, but after that its just a grey screen. Everything looks good, except the actual game wont load. I know its a glitch with forge but I'm not sure if I should just downgrade it or something.

Btw, I have a server with these mods loaded and it works fine

I believe I am correct in saying you already posted this over in Luke's Comprehensive guide thread. The moderators don't like people who post multiple times is different threads about the same issue. You will get the help you require in one thread; you don't need to post in another. Just the tip.
