TheBytemaster Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 This page makes me laugh way harder than necessary. Partially because it's funny, and partially because I've done the same thing a bazillion times. Oh, also, thank you so very much for all of the hard work you've put in to make getting a pack together and running properly ten thousand times easier for us noobs! Darn it, 'd
lukeb28 Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Try right clicking on the file and make sure it is in the public folder.
lukeb28 Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 Did you name it public or did you get it named public?
lukeb28 Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 I made a folder and called it public Thats not how it's done. Now upload this to a web host! I personaly use dropbox but you have to enable a public folder to allow technic.net to use it correctialy. Here is how to do it:https://www.dropbox.com/enable_public_folder Followed to the letter eh?
Tootles5 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Hey, I'm back. One question: I found a lot of open-source mods. If a mod is open-source, does that mean that you can use it in a modpack automatically?
lukeb28 Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 This is the technic launcher, not FTB. Permission is not required. Anyways, this is a guide for building modpacks, not jumping through hoops.
Tootles5 Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Well, I'd still like to have the permission of the mod authors. It seems sort of unfair if they don't get a say. But nevermind. I'll ask somewhere else.
SXScarecrow Posted August 19, 2013 Posted August 19, 2013 Well, I'd still like to have the permission of the mod authors. It seems sort of unfair if they don't get a say. But nevermind. I'll ask somewhere else. You most likely will not find a veteran of these forums who agrees with you. But as luke said, thats a whole other can of worms. We can help you make the things, how you handle it is up to you.
Onyx_Soar Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I've done everythink right but it's saying it's an " Invalid Technic Platform Delivery URL" I don't understand as I followed right down to the pixel :/ http://prntscr.com/1mjl5q http://prntscr.com/1mjmac
lukeb28 Posted August 21, 2013 Author Posted August 21, 2013 Make sure the file is in the public folder and that you are coping the public link as shown in post #145
Onyx_Soar Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 It is I have checked. http://prntscr.com/1mkinv Ignore the other folder I was just experimenting but here also. http://prntscr.com/1mkkky
