Praxis Prion Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 I'm loving the new version so far! The main problem I seem to be running into is the power gauntlet is invisible. Does anyone know of any fixes for this issue? It seems to be pretty common.
CanVox Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Are you playing in single player or on a server? Is the server yours or someone else's?
Dreamblitz X Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 i get this aswell, ssp and smp, or i did with 1.3.5 at least, when i try get 1.3.9, when it launches it just gives a white screen and the launcher window doesnt close
Praxis Prion Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Sorry, I should have provided more information. This problem occurs in both single player and on a server. The server is mine. Additions to my server include thaumcraft 3, MCPC & worldedit. Additions to both single and smp include optifine 1.5.2. To verify these were not having influence, I just deleted my entire .bigdig folder and allowed a new download from scratch, and the problem still occurs in singleplayer.
Lethosos Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 *ahems* Forge Logs or gtfo. CanVox can't help you effectively without the logfiles from both your client and the server. So please provide them to him, perhaps in links to pastebin.com copies so we don't have pages and pages of logs in the forums.
Praxis Prion Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Both of these files are around 600k, even when deleted and allowed to regenerate, too big for a pastebin paste. Is there a way I can clean these up for just relevant information?
Lethosos Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Well, okay, let's try just the client side logs. Half the time invisible things are just the client glitching out. A fresh log of you just loading the client, entering SSP, selecting the Power Tool, then shutting down.
Praxis Prion Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Okay, I did exactly that. Log file ended up being 721kb even when generating a fresh one, so I had to find a pastebin alternative. This is the client log. http://tny.cz/df773ecf
Calvariae Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Either split them up into multiple pastbins, or use google docs. Edit: Nevermind, forgot I opened this thread 45 minutes ago.
Lethosos Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Looking it over, just to confirm, were you actually "holding" the Power Gauntlet? It looks like you just gave yourself one and quit.
Praxis Prion Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Yes, I gave myself one, selected and unselected it a few times, and then quit.
Lethosos Posted May 30, 2013 Posted May 30, 2013 Let's try something else. Go ahead and log back into that same SSP map, and this time, enter Third Person Mode. I've been hearing that it's visible there, which seems to strongly suggest it's a rendering problem. If you can see it that way, make sure your graphics driver and Java is up to date, to eliminate anything from that direction.
Praxis Prion Posted May 30, 2013 Author Posted May 30, 2013 Okay, the gauntlet is visible in third person mode, just not in first person. I'm running Java 7 Update 21 64 bit for Windows 7 64bit, and I am running the latest Geforce 560m drivers. edit: Also, I have allocated 2gb ram through the launcher and increased perm size.
Praxis Prion Posted May 31, 2013 Author Posted May 31, 2013 Also, just to mention, it did seem to be working in 1.3.5 I believe, but broke after the rapid series of updates.
Korrollir Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I've double checked my server and client files about this: I cannot place a dimensional anchor at all. Obviously, since the mod is loaded, it will show up in NEI and in the crafting recipe, but I cannot pull it into my inventory or place it.
Wesley Foxx Posted May 31, 2013 Posted May 31, 2013 I can +1 confirm that the power gauntlet isn't visible in first person mode, only third person mode. Also, placing a nasa workbench crashed the game. Crashlog -> http://pastebin.com/64nJMBrH Forge log -> http://privatepaste.com/d5db38aba4 Edit: Happened again later, so I have to assume its trying to interact with the workbench, not placing it.
jondonnis Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 It's not crashing my world but I've just run into a big MASSIVE bunch of Chocobos, all stuck together.
Wesley Foxx Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 All hail the wheel of wark! Still crashing any time I try to use the NASA workbench, 3 for 3.
typer_monkey Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I found with the chocobo stack, that they are not actually there. They disappear upon relog.
CanVox Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 All hail the wheel of wark! Still crashing any time I try to use the NASA workbench, 3 for 3. I spoke with micdoodle about this, and he was having difficulty making this happen, are there any special details that might be contributing you can provide so he can get this fixed?
EugeneT Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Had been experiencing the chocobo stack with no real adverse effects and then this happened. Ended up with almost 1900 entities after logging out a couple times in attempt to fix this. Short of killing them all manually not even sure how to remove them and there's still the chance of the glitch reoccurring.
