Vas Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 1.1.0 was never marked latest or recommended, so if you were ever playing it, you were making a mistake. It was not SUPPOSED to work. Someone in the chat suggestively told me to use it making it sound great and all and basically trolled me when it didn't work. -.-
KingEtzel Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I already reported it in the 1.1.1 thread, but the "chunk grid overlay" or "show force loaded chunks" or F9 ability still doesn't work: https://www.dropbox.com/s/op8u73f71qv9z35/Gridbug1.1.2.jpg Also somehow the F7 ability ("show monster spawning area") seems to be removed. Both only minor bugs Thanks for all your efforts so far! Edit: Just found out that F7 is still there. It's the same bug as with F9. But seems that it got an update, since it now shows 2 colors (spawnable: red, only at night spawnable: yellow): https://www.dropbox.com/s/b0j6cjmz9r7ls3z/Spawngridbug1.1.2.jpg
TokiWartooth Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Noticed some odd rednet behaviour, had a working inverter hooked up to a lever and some rednet to close a shower door and open a water valve in the ceiling, now if I switch the lever on which lights up the vanilla redstone above it, when I switch it off the redstone stays lit trapping me in my shower.
Henkie Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 I cannot supply the (buildcraft) filler with items using logistics pipes (supplier pipe). The items just drop on the floor instead of entering the filler. This used to work on tekkit-lite.

This works on my machine. Can you take a screenshot? Having a hard time imagining this.
TokiWartooth Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Sure just a minute. Ill head out too my vacation home and take the screen shots. Here is the picture
Dash16 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Chances are that it did have the correct version of minecraft, but you messed up when updating the server. People would notice if a problem as obvious as that was there. I can confirm that for a brief time, the 1.1.0 build had the wrong version of minecraft_server.jar. However as CanVox said, 1.1.0 was never intended to be tested as 1.1.1 and now 1.1.2 are, so there's that.
Nick Lozon Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Level Emitters (Applied Energistics) does not seem to be sending a signal to my RedNet Cable. Applied Energistics rv11 states that it "Updated Rednet compatiblity for level emitters.", but it worked in rv10.l Edit: 1.1.2 uses rv10.n Edit 2: Picture Edit 3: Using vanilla redstone works as a middleman, so most likely just a compatibility between mods.
Watson_777 Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Someone in the chat suggestively told me to use it making it sound great and all and basically trolled me when it didn't work. -.- If you were referring to me, I can only apologise if you were mislead by the information I gave you. But I fail to see how this could be the case, I only ever referred to it as a 'dev' build and was very clear that it worked fine for "me", I never gave a guarantee that it would work fine for you. Nor did I say that you SHOULD use it, I was only making you aware that their was a more up-to-date 'dev' version available via the launcher. Let's not forget that you were the one raging about Tekkit being 'out of date'... and if you think that me trying to explain this to you in chat was 'trolling', you clearly don't know what trolling is. Sorry for disrupting the thread. Keep up the good work, CanVox!

That bloody mod gives me a bluescreen when it loads in the fml.

I should have reported that.
TokiWartooth Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 May or not be an issue on game restart mystcraft worlds with chunk loaders(read:quarry) are not loading on their own, once visited the chunks will keep loaded but won't load without it.
CanVox Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 I don't believe most chunk loaders load on restart- chicken chunks' main selling point is that they load on restart.
TokiWartooth Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 I was lead to believe dim anchors were better but ok, maybe it will work If I put a spot loader on the quarry block itself? Interesting stuff, I wanted to stock my kitchens pantry in game, and make some milk bottles, so I poured out a bucket of milk to fill from, apparently this makes water bottles? also milk gives the haste effect - intended?
dwwojcik Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Well, I have been testing Tekkit 1.1.2, and my fps dropped to about 20, from around 45 with 1.0.6. I tried increasing my RAM allocation from 1gb to 2, and checking the 'Increase PermGen' box. No change. Can anybody suggest anything?
BaconJim Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 in 1.1.2, nobody on my server can craft Linking Books anymore, and NEI isn't showing a recipe. linking books are enabled in the mystcraft cfg.
TokiWartooth Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 BaconJim, you don't craft linking books the same way anymore, you have to craft an ink mixer to make linking pages then make a unattuned link book at the book binder, then use the unattuned linking book where you want to link it too. Hope that helps I had the same issue for a bit.
CanVox Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 I was lead to believe dim anchors were better but ok, maybe it will work If I put a spot loader on the quarry block itself? Dim anchors tend to have fewer bugs, (and for many server owners who are trying to keep their loaded chunks down, Chicken Chunks' tendency to chunkload on restart isn't a very good feature). Interesting stuff, I wanted to stock my kitchens pantry in game, and make some milk bottles, so I poured out a bucket of milk to fill from, apparently this makes water bottles? also milk gives the haste effect - intended? -Empty Bottle + Milk = Water Bottle: This is a minecraft issue, empty bottles will create water bottles any time you use them on blocks with similar internal properties to water, and there's not much modders can do about ti. The way to make milk bottles is to combine a milk bucket with an empty bottle in the crafting grid. - Milk haste: Yup, that's a feature not a bug.

It's located in the tekkitmain folder, it's called ForgeModLoader-Client-0.log.
TokiWartooth Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Thanks for the info on the milk, figured out how to make them, also hope powercrystals makes chocolate milk bottles soon, as I would enjoy it if that stuff wasn't just visually cool. Interesting stuff about how liquids are coded from this.
dwwojcik Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 Ok, this is the first 300 lines. If you need more I'll just upload the file to dropbox. (The whole thing is over 4000 lines!) -snip- [\spoiler] I'm not sure if this is the right file. This is from ForgeModLoader-client-0.txt There is also ForgeModLoader-client-0.log.lck, but that shows up as empty in Notepad++ Never mind, here's a download. https://www.dropbox.com/s/6tiw6jxvsnlxpu2/ForgeModLoader-client-0.log
CanVox Posted June 13, 2013 Author Posted June 13, 2013 He tried to spoiler it, but we don't have spoiler tags here! I code'd it for him. Your log lacks the usual smells that accompany something on your end, could you remove Atomic Science and see if your FPS improves?
