Wheneveri go to play from the technic launcher, it freezes at the minecraft loading menu and never brings me into the actual menu of minecraft. solutions?

My friend is having the same problem and it is very frustrating.  I have it working fine on my computer and after 4 hours of troubleshooting I have it on our server too, but its all for nothing if he cant get it.  I hope this is solved soon.

He is on a mac and I do know his java isnt completely up to date so it may have something to do with it.  Unfortunately his computer freezes on reboot every time he tries to update it.

Hi everyone.

The modpack has been running pretty well for me in single player until tonight.  I was flying around as a bat, killing mobs, when the game suddenly crashed.  Annoying, but I didn't think too much of it.  When I reloaded everything my world save was gone.  I tracked it down on my hard drive and it's still right where it should be, but it's no longer showing up as a world I can play.  So I started a new world just to see if it, too, would vanish but so far I'm still able to load it up.  The old world, though, won't come up for me.

Weird problem, I know.  Any suggestions?

Edit - I'm running on the recommended build, 1.0.9c

Baronbosc, make a new world with the exact same name as the missing one, it should build some new files for it then load the old world and player data.

Alternatively, open up the level.dat file in MCEdit, then save and exit.

Either way, back up first if it's a world you care about!

Thanks, Loader.  Your first suggestion seems to have worked.  Don't know if this is a modpack bug or not, but it's certainly never happened to me before.

Bosc, it can happen with vanilla minecraft, it's just much more likely when you have a crash while playing (which is in turn more likely the more stuff you have added in with mods).

Epicman, please post a crashlog or launcher log on the tracker (links are in my sig).

I have the same problem as many others, my attack of the b-team opens but then closes down back to the technic launcher, and I tried every single suggestion and advice that was given. It is on version 1.9.0c but I have tried the latest version with same result. My Java is updated and I allotted 3 GB of RAM. Just in case this is a problem with my computer: my computer is a Windows Vista and from 2009 so it is pretty old. Here is the log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/7128604/

I think that it has something to do with the last few lines in the log. Or maybe because my version of Java is JRE?

I can play all updates to 1.0.8 but when I go to 1.0.9 and up the launcher closes and opens but the game didnt start. HELP!

Wpersonw1, you've got an issue which usually is out of date graphics drivers screwing up something with openGL, so try that first.  The second thing it could be (and doubly so given where it is happening in your log) is a bug in necromancy, try disabling or removing that mod, playing again (it should load), quitting and putting necromancy back.  You will lose all your minions, altars and other necromancy items, but you'll be able to play.

tents and coollukester, update Java to version 1.7.  Lukester, on a mac you'll need to get the JDK version, not the JRE.

Eight211, quit out and close the launcher, reopen it and try again (something has gone wrong connecting to the minecraft servers at minecraft.net, re-opening the launcher causes it to try again).

Sometimes it can take a couple of goes, if it doesn't fix it let us know here :)

So, I try to get onto the modpack and it says: Cannot connect to minecraft.net. It is so frustrating because I tried everything and nothing works at all! Can anyone help?

Hey Guys,

Having a problem with my B-Team server. I log in and pop up on my server and a few seconds later  I get kicked with this message "Internal exception: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out"

Posted (edited)

I've had a problem that seems to be pretty common. I downloaded AOTBT just fine. When I hit play, the launcher disappears like the game is starting. Some times the "FML is setting up your environment" "CB Deploader is setting up your environment" message comes up. Then the launcher comes up again, like the game has crashed, but there's no crash report. I've checked multiple times. I went through the mods one by one, and it seems that open blocks and open mods aren't working right with project red. Also, tropicraft isn't working right with something. The java updater says I have the newest version of java, and I have reinstalled both AOTBT and Technic Launcher multiple times. My friend plays AOTBT on Windows 8 (I'm on Windows 7) and he has no problem at all. Does anyone have any ideas?

Help please

Attack of the B-Team Isn't even starting

When I press Play selecting the Attack of the B-Team modpack

It starts verifying things and then The Launcher dissappears. After 10 sec (even less) nothing happens and the launcher comes back as if I've quit the game.

Please Help

Thanks
