EbearMC Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I THINK I KNOW THE PROBLEM! @CanVox for some reason, many mods's items require the chunks to stay loaded EVEN WHILE INACTIVE! Attack of The B Team needs a Mod or a Plugin that can unload unused chunks, with no exceptions, similar to the way Tekkit does... and World Anchors keep them loaded. We need Chunk Unloading plugins!
EbearMC Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Ok while I was FACEPALMING MY HEAD OFF, I realized that when you install MCPC+, the mcpc.yml defaults to keeping ALL CHUNKS loaded NO MATTER WHAT in the "chunk-unload:" section. Another few tips would be to set "dump-heap-on-deadlock:" to "True" and "dump-chunks-on-deadlock:" to "True". These two settings alone may have a good chance of saving your server from a crash. Have fun not crashing guys!
Loader Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Uh, Ebear - MCPC+ isn't a standard part of this pack so it's likely that the people who are testing will be either not using it (to stay close to the standard for this test) or using it but watching it closely. More importantly though, you've misread those variables in the YAML file, those are merely the logging of chunks unloading being off by default, not the actual chunks unloading (if that was off, you'd run out of memory in minutes on most systems as soon as someone started wandering around).

I am not sure if it is a game crash or a mod bug . when using the backback from better storage. i left the end and all stuff i had placed in the back was removed. I tested this in a creative world and found that it happened again. is there any way to correct this or just dont use that storage in the end

darkphan Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 (edited) We have managed to find an issue on our server, had a user try to start using the better storage crafting table when the server crashed, a copy of the crashreport is here: http://pastebin.com/uVgMHSYd EDIT: It seems this is a world crashing issue and will prevent the server from starting back up EDIT2: After restoring from a backup, I went into the betterstorage.cfg and set the enableStationAutoCrafting to false to help prevent the server from crashing in the future. Mavericktheman32 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 (edited) Okay, so I have been hosting a server on 4 GBs and these are a few of the issues I am seeing, some need no fixing. Better Storage does not keep NBT tags after Archimedes ships places them back post-flight. Using Redstone Furnaces with Tinkers Alloy seemed to crash my world, I had to backdate the world file at least 3 times. qCraft is spamming the Server log and may be the cause of sudden lag spikes Thermal expansion seems to be crashing things? I am going to just post all of my server crashes into this. Also, sleeping on a carpenters bed connected to an Archimedes ship and then flying it crashes the server and then the client flying the ship becomes bugged out. I was able to correct it by spamming LShift as I connected until it ejected me. But it crashed every time, even when it fixed. Only after it was fixed it would let your client stay. Blazin2142 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I don't know if this has already been brought up or not because I didn't get a chance to read everything but in the Tinkers' Construct smeltery I cant get mobs to get hurt no matter what I do. I have filled up the tank with lava added materials so that there is molten something at the bottom but mobs don't get hurt I'm not sure if maybe I changed a setting somehow or something but its definitely not working for me. Again I don't know if its a bug but just in case I thought I would post this so if it is it can get fixed. Yes I am using 1.0.9. Thanks

There is a bug with the oven when you try to cook anything that isn't vanilla or already cooked things and an uncooked vanilla item that causes crashes. The only way to fix it is to edit your world with an editing program such as MCedit and destroy the oven.

But remember to backup your world in %appdata% -> Roaming -> .technic -> modpacks -> Attack of the b-team -> saves -> Copy/Save the file somewhere else in case something crashes when you use certain items, as has been said in this thread, this modpack is a beta.

The changes will mostly be bugfixes, Flans mod is modular, so Flans mod itself is basically the thing that everything else goes on top of. Flans Mod (allows the special vehicle movement and has a generic set of inventories and things for aircraft/cars/planes, but no actual vehicles or weapons). Flans Simple Parts Pack (this is all the wings and things that you'll see in NEI and the vehicle crafting station. It's required as a base for a lot of packs, in B-Team's case, the titan). Flans Modern Weapons Pack (this is the one the guns come from, as well as the gun box and workbench). Flans Titan Pack (this is the one that adds the titans, as well as their inventory). You can see that this update only effects the first one - so maybe a speed improvement and hopefully some bug fixes (some people were crashing in gun workbenches, others with titans falling with obsidian boots etc.).
