[Tinkers' Construct] Smelting Casts only fill halfway - loss of materials

This isn't exactly game-breaking, but I'm having a problem with Casting Channels where they seem to select certain casting tables and only fill them half-way, dividing potential ingots among separate tables and preventing them from being cast. The average loss is 2 ingots (1 ore), which isn't too much but it's enough to be annoying. In addition, the half-filled casts prevent other metals from being cast.

Anyone know of a fix / dealt with this issue before? Thanks!

Oh yes and one more thing: I think that item casts should be redeemable for their gold/aluminum brass.

This isn't even a bug, it's how TiC works. If you're trying to automate mass casting, you'll need 1 drain for each casting table.

E: Additionally, only blank casts can be melted down. I assume this is because the author of the mod thought it pointless to create 2 different versions of cast that only differ in what they're made from. If you want other casts to be meltable, your best bet is to contact the author of TiC.
