  1. Unless you manually backed up your map in the saves folder, no you can not.
  2. Post your problem here: http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=5915
  3. The new dimensional anchors have settings to do 1 x n lines instead of entire cubes. You might be able to apportion out what you need. 1) My guess is yes, they require chunk loaders for all the cabling. I know IC cabling does. You can press f9 (or f6 or something) to see the chunks that are loaded. 2) I wouldn't recommend that because it might be intense for clients around the area (for example, lots of custom renderers are used with pipes, wires, and machines). 3) The issue might not be the number of chunks that are loaded into memory but with the equipment. If there are loops in logistics pipes or wiring you might run into performance issues. It could also be due to buggy mods. In my server I have quarries set up with 1 source water block on top that fills up the entire quarry (to take care of lava). That works fine, but when we are in the process of removing the water the server lags a lot (it literally will eat up 100's of megs of memory plus lots of CPU). Hence, I try to avoid draining the quarries when people are on.
  4. Delete the .technic folder in c:/users/<your username>/appdata and try again.NOTE: if you have single player worlds then BACK THEM UP FIRST! These will be in a saves folder in each of the mod pack folders.
  5. Try rotating them with a wrench
  6. TekkitLite.jar not tekkit.jar The tekkit lite server download should already come with a launch.bat
  7. If player 2 places them does it happen on your screen?
  8. Oh and temporarily turn off anti-virus.
  9. Have player2 log out then back in. It could also be a bug.
  10. Your graphics card is on the low end. You could try updating it + LWJGL as suggested, though that might not fix the problem. If it's only certain sections of the world that lag, then it might be machinery. Some things make the renderer slow. Don't play on full screen. It could be hindering your performance.
  11. I'm pretty sure there are two different types of chunk loaders in tekkit lite. You could use the other one.
  12. You might try posting this problem here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1001131-152-immibiss-mods-smp-tubestuff-5501-core-5511-da-5500-infinitubes-5502-liquid-xp-5500-microblocks-5500/ As far as a work around... Increase the chunk limit size, tell people to play nice, or ban the block.
  13. It is a mod pack. Forge is the "core plugin system" that mods use to "talk to" minecraft. Forge is built with specific version compatabilities in mind. By coincidence almost all 1.4.6 mods work with 1.4.7 because 1.4.7 was a very minor update, but that cross version compatibility is generally not the case. Tutorial: http://www.technicpack.net/article/view/building-your-own-modpack.7
  14. Try putting options to a minimum. Use shift-f3 and observe the pie chart. What is eating your resources? Does this happen in a fresh world? What are your computer specs?
  15. One possibility is you are not leaving enough ram for the os/background processes, thus causing tons of hard faults. Decrease the ram allocation and see if that helps. Does this only happen in certain locations of your map? You could also try disabling smooth lighting.
  16. The issue is with Balkons weapon mod. Have a look at this thread: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1590528-help-with-my-vanilla-server/
  17. Look at logistics pipes: http://technicpack.wikia.com/wiki/Logistics_Pipes There should be some tutorials on Youtube.
  18. This is possibly a bug with the technic launcher. Try showing the console before launching (according to this post) http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/new-technic-launcher-causes-minecraft-crash-when-launching-all-mods.41381/
  19. Search around your world (in particular around the anchor) for tons of stacks of items being on the ground. I would suspect that this is the cause of your lag.
  20. Don't know. You could always put something on your keyboard to hold down w for an hour or so.
  21. You will have to post server & client logs. For starters, can they connect to a vanilla server? If not then it's a connectivity issue.
  22. An hs_err_pid file is created when the JVM crashes. Unfortunately there are a lot of reasons that this could be happening. Things you could try: - Try not allocated so much ram. - Do any of the log files give a clue as to what is happening? (.technic\tekkitlite; the hs_err file). The latter file is full of information, but you might be able to pick up a word that could clue you in (like openGL). You could try updating the openGL bindings that minecraft use (.technic\tekkitlite\bin). Minecraft uses old openGL bindings which perhaps don't work too hot on newer graphics cards. - This could be a technic launcher classloader bug. There might be another forum where you could post this.
  23. It's in config/cofh/thermalexpansion.cfg. I think redpower & IC2 generation is disabled. http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/ic2-copper-in-tekkit-lite.36775/
  24. I don't think you can without forestry. But with automated rubber tree farming you can just leave it in a chunk loader and get tons of rubber tree logs and extract those. Another option is to plant a ton of trees next to each other. With treecapitator you can chop them all down at once and get a couple stacks of wood. A third option is to make resin from UU matter. It's expensive, but if you have tons of scrap and power laying around then why not?
  25. You're base will be there when you get there. I think there is a setting now in DD that allows you to set the max distance that a portal will spawn you away in the over world. If you are an admin there should be a way to just teleport yourself back to base.
