did you try rebooting everything?
-
although it's been a while since I made this, I doubt if the values have changed much (if any):
-
are you using MCPC-Plus? You need to download a 'B' version from here and then replace your Tekkit.jar with that file (renamed as "Tekkit.jar"); after you run it once it will create a plugin folder and then you can drop the plugin jar files in there and run it again.
-
rv12.b is for Tekkit 1.1.8, so it sounds like that's the server file you're running; rv13.c is for 1.1.10, which I'm guessing your client is running. Are you sure you have the most up-to-date server from here: http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/tekkitmain/Tekkit_Server_v1.1.10.zip ?
-
When you run the tekkit server you should be running launch.bat (which, in turn runs Tekkit.jar). It sounds like you may be running minecraft_server.jar, which is a necessary file (I think) but should not be run... doing that results in a vanilla server.

a search of CodeChickenCore in the forum will come up with this: http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/tekkits-codechickencore-issue.53286/

Yeah, I'm not sure what uses v1.3, but Tekkit Classic runs MC 1.2.5, Tekkit Lite runs MC 1.4.7 (at least, the most up-to-date version does), and Tekkit Main is now up to MC 1.5.2.

I also learned through much trial-and-error that I had to remove my liquiduct feeding into my autospawner from above. It makes sense now that I think about it, but for some reason I just (subconsciously) figured the ghast would clip right through it.

yep, good point; guess I didn't read his post closely enough. I was too focused on his desire to use the newest Galacticraft.

oh, man.... looped power loss. Hadn't thought of that. I'll have to go over everything very carefully. Thanks for suggestion!

Hoping I'm just missing something obvious, but I just can't seem to solve this problem. I have a BioFuel farm producing 9 different items for max efficiency, feeding into two BioFuel Reactors that feed into a total of 16 BioFuel Generators. This has been running just fine and generating a surplus for a while. But somewhere in the past few weeks something went crazy and my power drain skyrocketed, resulting in half of my items being completely consumed so that everything was operating on much lower efficiency. I thought I had narrowed it down to a huge Buildcraft Laser array, but I've cut it from the network and STILL I'm having strange behavior. The only significant drain at the moment is an AE Network drawing about 65MJ/t but that shouldn't keep 10+ BF Generators running full-time, should it? And the strangest behavior is that my RECs will all fill up, while I watch. Then I'll go offline for an hour (or less, even) and when I come back in at least one of the RECs will be completely empty. Not even sure how that's possible, as the BioFuel setup is running the whole time and it's all loaded with a Dimensional Anchor. Any ideas where my mystery drain might be coming from? Or am I vastly underestimating my power needs? And are Spruce saplings not a good BioFuel source? That's one item that I just can't seem to generate a surplus of, even with over 25 saplings being planted/harvested for Spruce alone.

updating Tekkit so it will work with 1.6.4 is a monumental task (which is why it hasn't been done yet); eventually those that work behind the scenes will get to it, but there's no timeline on when to expect it. So the only two options I have to suggest are: (1) wait for Tekkit to eventually catch up with 1.6.4 (unknown time frame), or (2) create a Galacticraft-only server based off of vanilla 1.6.4

Reasonably transforming my BC network into an AE network

not that I know of... that's a limitation I've always just lived with. -
Reasonably transforming my BC network into an AE network
weirleader replied to Flextt's topic in Tekkit Discussion
Sorry if I wasn't clear, by attaching a storage device to the DSUs they become AE storage locations and don't actually take up network space. But they DO show up as an available resource in the network. -
Reasonably transforming my BC network into an AE network

To build on what Viktor said, if you use Storage Buses to attach your DSUs to the network, all future items of the given type that are stored in the network will go to that location (if you want multiple locations, you can configure the 'weight' of a given spot by using the GUI settings for each Storage Bus -- higher == more priority). As far as I can tell, it won't move existing items into a DSU, but I found that if I removed 10 stacks of an item and then placed them immediately back in inventory that it would pull from AE and place in the DSU. So it's easy... set it and forget it. Nothing more needs to be configured to get all DSU-stored items to always end up there, which means no more loss. Then, an ME Export Bus set to always export whatever items you are planting will keep a Planter full and never overflow (only exports when there's space); just seed a planter (no pun intended) with whatever items you are wanting it to plant and the stacks will always remain full, provided you have enough in inventory. I had some odd troubles using the Import Bus with the Harvester, but resolved that by attaching an ME Interface instead, which automatically grabs any items that the Harvester picks up and drops them into the network. Back to your questions, (1) Because the Storage Buses act as connected inventory, you never need to be given amount y of item x because it's *always* available within the network, and (2) A Tesseract hooked directly to an ME Interface will dump items into the network easily (that's how I handle incoming from my Quarry); I haven't tried exporting into a Tesseract, but I'd imagine that'd be just as easy. -
did some more digging and it looks like it might just be a "helpful" virus scanner; you don't happen to have one running, do you? if that doesn't do the trick, you might also make sure you're running the latest version of Java (in case you're not).

What can I do with my leftover cobblestone?
weirleader replied to EpicBlargh's topic in Tekkit Discussion
(1) store it in a DSU for later (2) after you get TONS of it, make a singularity. -
okay, my server handled the deletion of that file just fine, so I think it's larger than that. How attached are you to your current world? It's possible that deleting it and starting from scratch will resolve the issue (if it turns out to be world corruption of some kind); alternatively, if you had a backup perhaps you could restore that. I'd suggest copying the world folder elsewhere, deleting it from the server folder, and restarting... if everything loads fine then it's something in your world that's a problem. If everything doesn't load fine, well... then we've found another clue.
-
did you make manual changes to ChickenChunks.cfg? If not, try deleting the file and restarting.
-
when you run the server, are you running Tekkit.jar? If you run minecraft_server.jar you'll find that you get only 'vanilla' Minecraft.
-
my plan exactly -- I just finished my (1) skeleton, (2) magma cube, (3) blaze, and (4) ghast spawning rooms; next up is my pink slime room. I suppose I'll make a green slime one as well, though my biggest use of slime balls has always been sticky pistons and now that I realize that rubber can be used for those... well, I just don't find I need the slime balls as much.

I just revised my farm and ended up going with a few extra chronotypers to quickly pull babies something like 20 blocks or more away from adults... I found the conveyors didn't effectively pull them as far because they'd walk against them. So there's three (5x5) rooms between babies and adults and conveyors to keep the babies at the center of the final room where I use a grinder. I find the mob essence to be the most important part of the grinder, with food a close second. I figure I'll make a slaughterhouse at some point so I can gather some pink slime, but that's the only reason, as regular grinding of animals provides plenty of meat and the slaughterhouse magnifies that to a level that is beyond necessary.

the wiki has this, which might be helpful. Also, Powering things can be done by (in order of increasing complexity): Stirling Engines (dangerous, be sure to read the wiki) Steam Engines (need coal/water) Magmatic Engines (need a source of lava -- could be Netherrack in a Magma Crucible, could be importing from the Nether via Liquid Tesseract... both are good options) Combustion Engines (be sure to read up on these) BioReactor to make BioFuel and then burn it in a BioFuel Generator for crazy amounts of renewable power Atomic Reactors are the one thing I don't know much about, but they're definitely late-game Power can be transferred by: Buildcraft Conductive Pipe Redstone Energy Conduit (my personal favorite; be sure to pay attention to input/output settings on these) Energy Tesseracts Power can be stored using: Makeshift Batteries (I haven't used them yet, so don't know much about 'em) Redstone Energy Cells

did you try deleting your .technic folder and trying again? Could be some sort of existing file that got corrupted... maybe starting from scratch would help.

Atomic science power generation. Tips and tricks.
weirleader replied to jakalth's topic in Tekkit Discussion
I do think conduit stores some power, though I have no numbers or testing to back that up.
