  1. Just use the bracket keys, '[' and ']' to change between morph forms... press 'Enter' to select one. Once you've killed a mob you won't 'reacquire' it. If you want to remove one of the mobs from your list, select it (with the bracket keys again) and press either 'Backspace' or 'Delete', I think. But then you may reacquire it upon killing that type of mod... haven't checked that out myself.
  2. If you had the modpack working before updating to 1.0.6 then you shouldn't do anything different. When you had it working, which file had you renamed? I can't imagine why you'd want to rename the minecraft_server.jar as that seems it would only cause problems. Not only do you not do that when hosting locally, but according to MCProHosting you should also not do that (https://clients.mcprohosting.com/knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&id=38). But do what worked before... if it's still not working, I don't think it's because of the filename. That article above does mention making sure that custom jars are 'enabled'. For the OP I made the suggestion because as far as I've ever seen it's the custom.jar (Tekkit.jar, BTeam.jar) file that's important.
  3. rename the custom.jar to minecraft_server.jar again then change BTeam.jar to custom.jar; that's the one that you need to run to get it all functional
  4. I think it's part of the configs. The stated intent, as I've seen it, is that this is not the kind of mod where it's hard to find resources (including diamond). Everything is readily available in large quantities so you can dig into the other mod craziness that's available. If you're looking for a grind to upgrade to varying levels of technology then you may not like this.
  5. 1. Download the latest server files (currently, that would be this: http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/bteam/BTeam_Server_v1.0.6.zip). 2. Extract them to a folder where you'll host the server files 3. Modify the launch.bat, if you care to and know what you're doing 4. Run 'launch.bat' and your server should be up and available on your LAN (by default on port 25565) 5. If you want to make it available to people outside your LAN you're going to have to configure port forwarding If you want to run the server on the same computer on which you're playing you'll need a comfortable amount of RAM. 8GB works for me, but we only typically have 3-5 people on our little server and I run about 1.5GB to 2GB for both the game and the server. Server GB is set in the launch.bat file (note the min [-Xms] and max [-Xmx] values) Game GB is set via the TechnicLauncher (the gear)
  6. Yes, the wiki is there, but AotBT is not really represented. Some of the mods that overlap can be found (MineFactory Reloaded or Thermal Expansion) but even those are going to be problematic as they're written for MC 1.5.X at this point (and so are at previous versions). With a new Tekkit version nearly ready for recommended and all the awesome that is included in AotBT it's going to be a LOT of work to get things fully up-to-date.
  7. when you run the server, you need to run Tekkit.jar, NOT minecraft_server.jar; the launch.bat file provided is usually already set up for you, but if not that should fix your issue.
  8. I've been meaning to get something started but am SOOO busy that I haven't even managed to put up a list of current mods/authors/links included in the modpack. I'll get to it ASAP, unless some other kind soul beats me to it.
  9. Shift + scroll to change between similar mob types (sheep, zombies, etc.)
  10. This gives you an overview. Beyond that, I'd suggest looking for some good YouTube demos of its functionality.
  11. In the current recommended version you don't really use batteries other than as components in recipes. To power the Oxygen Compressor you should run power (e.g., via Redstone Energy Conduit or Conductive Pipe) from a bunch of engines, whether that be Magmatic Engines, or Steam Engines, or maybe a BioFuel Generator.
  12. It gets cooler; kill yourself a squid or a bat and then swim/fly around like never before. I haven't even gotten to the real meat of the modpack, but that alone has me happier than a tornado in a trailer park.
  13. geez, I feel sheepish... thx!
  14. My recollection is that the previous setup would take us directly to unread posts (e.g., when clicking on the "Help Test Tekkit 1.2.4" thread); now I always start out on Page 1. True, I could jump directly to Page 18, but it's possible that I was last reading on Page 16. It's not huge, but it's admittedly annoying to have to scroll around to figure out where I was last reading. Looked through the settings and couldn't find something related. Is this happening to anybody else?
  15. I've not used them yet, but this might give you an idea: Google is your friend.
  16. maybe you should look or post this here: http://forums.technicpack.net/tracker/project-4-attack-of-the-b-team/
  17. I could be wrong, but it sounds like a common problem -- when you run the server, you need to make sure the launch.bat calls Tekkit.jar and NOT minecraft_server.jar
  18. No problem with your English, but you really should read the rules here. People always want to ask about ETAs (when is it going to be done) and the best answer to that is: "it will be done when it's done." But I can tell you that they're just getting things up and running >with 1.6.4 so I would give it a long while before even thinking about 1.7.X versions.
  19. It sounds like you've looked at the wiki, but you should be able to find the current Minecraft version there (if you click through to Tekkit) as well as all the current mods (and versions) included. The version number (MC 1.5.2 / Tekkit 1.1.10) can be found at the top-right. Now we're getting close to an upgrade to MC 1.6.4 (Tekkit 1.2.5) and there are LOTS of changes in the works, so what currently seems a sparse wiki is about to get downright skeletal... things have been added and removed and there'll be a lot that needs documenting. But just to be sure you're looking in the right place, go to the wiki, select Tekkit, and then you can drill down into each of the component mods (at least, most of them; there are some I haven't had time to fully test/document myself). While it's not nearly complete it should still give you an idea about most everything in the current recommended build. I can confirm that MCPC+ works well with plugins (for the current recommended build); haven't gotten around to using it for the current test build but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work as well.
  20. So what you're really saying is things aren't documented in the manner you would like; I think it's always good to operate on the principle that if you don't like the way things are then show everybody how to do them better. In other words, if you prefer something documented with video and images, then by all means do so and share. If a lot of your favorite things are gone then you're probably better off playing Classic or Lite. Things are different. Not better/worse, just different. Current Tekkit isn't supposed to be Lite+new stuff. They're constantly making changes, some because they can, some because they are limited by updates/glitches/interoperability. Some of your concerns have to do with partially-developed mods. It's true that some aren't really firing on all cylinders yet, but there's not a lot that can be done about that other than being patient. And power sources in this game are tiered; some are easier to create and produce a certain limited amount of power or have maintenance limitations, others produce vast amounts of power and require complex setups. I'm just getting started with the fusion reactor myself (based on the post mentioned above), but it's shaping up to be pretty awesome. In the end, I guess if you don't like it then you should just vote with your feet. Apologies for ranting a bit, but I figure the guys putting this all together are doing an awesome job and don't get enough thanks. Instead they get complaint after complaint from people who want something customized to their specific tastes. It just occurred to me, you can always make your own custom modpack...
  21. well, it makes sense when you think about it, but it still is pretty odd behavior and I wouldn't have figured it out any quicker than you did. ;)
  22. I thought that might be power, but I don't use pipes and wasn't sure. no good ideas, really, but Googling it I came across the following possibilities... (1) a redstone torch/signal somehow triggering the Quarry 'off' (2) permissions preventing it from functioning. Neither really seems to fit your situation, but I mentioned them just in case.
  23. forgive an impertinent question, but is your power supply in the Overworld chunk-loaded so that it's actually supplying power while you're in the Nether?
  24. I assume you're mining between layers 5 and 12, yes? Sometimes it just amounts to a lot of bad luck. There's no diamond setting that I know of that should be causing problems.
  25. Aha, good point! Yes, I am definitely a 'nitpicker' AND I mostly play alone. I try to get my kids involved (and sometimes my brother), but they have way too much fun on vanilla and creative... and I frankly just don't get it. The best part about MC for me is the engineering and problem-solving. Totally didn't even think about the potential for griefing and stealing from someone's ender channel... sorry about that.
