  1. I think it's the number '1' on the number pad; I wouldn't imagine it'd make much fps difference, but you never know.
  2. I don't remember details, but you should search the forums for more info; from what I recall, BC made a decision to go a route that made things harder for other modders and compatibility and therefore TE had to choose between two less-than-perfect options.
  3. the last I was aware, you breed them with carrots, not wheat. Cows = wheat Pigs = carrots Sheep = wheat Chickens = seeds
  4. the easiest way (in my opinion) is to look in: <yourserverfolder>/mods you have to do a bit of deciphering, but you'll at least get a good sense of what's there; and a lot of the mod versions will be apparent from the filename.
  5. it's largely user-generated, so it will be updated when users start making updates. and, for the moment, the account link (signing into the forums means you're signed in to the wiki) is currently broken and we can't make edits until that's fixed.
  6. I don't know anything about crashing out of the server, but I do know that if you cannot place mod blocks it often means that your server was run using "minecraft_server.jar" instead of "BTeam.jar". Typically, the launch.bat (as was already mentioned) is configured to use the correct file (in this case, BTeam.jar)... so I don't know why it wouldn't work for somebody. If you're getting an error log, that might also help. But you might want to post an error log in the bugs section.
  7. I think adding to the wiki is an excellent idea. Not everyone uses it, but many do. Also, the more info it has the more likely it will be to get use. However, the current login is broken due to the recent shift in forum software. When it's functioning correctly, after you login to the forums you'll also be logged into the wiki. You'll know it's working because you should see your username in the top-right corner (currently it just shows my IP since I can't log in to the wiki). Also, once you get going on the wiki I'll be happy to help in any way I can... I have a long way to go to be an expert, but I'm enjoying working on it.
  8. so how did you do it? how did you figure out what numbers to use?
  9. I don't know how to access key bindings from within the game, but if you go to the config file for morph you'll see a bunch of things you can edit. The only problem is that it's not clear what number goes with what key. There's probably an understandable mapping, but it's not obvious to me. I did, however, find the following link which has some interesting info in the comments: https://github.com/iChun/Morph/issues/128
  10. The devs have said elsewhere that Buildcraft and Applied Energistics don't fit the idea of the theme of the mod. And iron chests add a lot of redundancy. The storage issue is being discussed elsewhere, but I'm pretty sure the other two mods aren't ever going to be considered.
  11. I would double- and triple-check that the versions are the same between server and client. The server file you are running should be pretty obvious, based on the zip file you downloaded... just make sure you're choosing the correct client (gear icon on the Tekkit selection to the left in TechnicLauncher). If that still doesn't fix it, you might try selecting 'Reset Pack' in the same gear menu.
  12. and Shift + middle mouse to switch between mobs of similar type (zombies/zombie villagers)
  13. every time I start to think I've got a handle on the basics I come across something like this.
  14. Download the new server files (http://mirror.technicpack.net/Technic/servers/bteam/BTeam_Server_v1.0.7a.zip) and unzip them to whatever location you want. Then copy over your world and dimension folders, along with any properties settings, whitelists, etc. If you use plugins, make sure you have the correct .jar file in place as well as your plugins folder. Basically, just create a new server location and grab everything that might have changed or been customized by you. EDIT: Just saw this, which is another good way to do that --
  15. It seems I need to take a closer look at TConstruct -- I've no idea what you're talking about. But I've only played it a bit with Hexxit before now. EDIT: would that be the Lumber Axe?
  16. You should have a folder in a location like C:Users<YOURNAME>AppDataRoaming.technictekkitmain just delete that
  17. I agree I love the quick leaf decay; but I still miss Treecapitator. Cutting down trees is a chore!
  18. thanks -- if it persists, I may eventually decide to delete the world file. But since I currently can just use a build of MCPC+ that's only 6 builds prior to 234 I'll live with it for now.
  19. Your speed matters; are you running when you jump? Because a standing jump won't accomplish much.
  20. By 'map reset', do you mean delete my world file? I really don't want to restart my world. If you mean something other than that, how do you do it?
  21. We can answer a simple question, but you aren't asking a simple question. NEI is there and does everything you need and more (at least, it sounds like it) and you are wanting to go through the somewhat complex task of replacing it. You are welcome to your own opinion but if it was such a simple task you wouldn't be asking... I'm assuming you're playing single-player as anything else would cause lots of issues with configuring both the client and the server. I don't even know if this will work, as I'm not really motivated to try it and troubleshoot it -- but I suppose you could go into the ".technicmodpacksattack-of-the-bteammods" folder and remove neiplugins.jar and notenoughitems.jar files and drop in your own TMI files. I think you also have to clear the "cache" folder because I think that's what finds and helpfully replaces the NEI files after you delete them. And if TechnicLauncher asks you if you want to update you need to say no. There's prob more to it than that, but as I said... I'm not really feeling like troubleshooting this myself.
  22. A few more bits of info: you can also rename the MCPC file to 'BTeam.jar' if that's easier. Also, I'm running MCPC build 228 just fine but I found that build 234 crashed on me; so be aware that the version of MCPC is very important.
  23. your launch.bat file needs to know where to find Java; I suggest you try this or else google 'set java path' and find some instructions that work for you.
  24. you on a Mac, by chance? If so, maybe take a look in the Tekkit forums... I know there's a lot of detail on that problem there, including some fixes. I don't have a Mac, so I didn't pay close attention.
  25. doh -- it picked up that final ')' by mistake; sorry!
