  1. if you've never used it, try imgur.com; very easy to use.
  2. can't remember specific output of Magmatics, but I think it's 3 or 4 MJ/t. Based on this thread from a while back, that means you can use something like 10-15 Magmatics to fully power a quarry.
  3. well, I could be wrong; I'm going based on the wiki and the recommendation to have 9 MJ/t for minimum operation. And I'm not familiar with Minetek. Maybe somebody else has some useful input.
  4. Are you powering it with a single steam engine? If so, try more power. You might want to use 4 or even 5 Steam Engines, and that's at minimum.
  5. fyi -- the most common problem with the Bug Reports is that you don't post like in a typical forum (e.g., this one); instead you click the link at the top that reads "Submit a Bug Report" and fill out the form. Now maybe you already tried that, but maybe you didn't...
  6. MCPC-Plus will let you use plugins. Download any of the "B" versions from here and replace your Tekkit.jar with that file. When you next run Tekkit it will create a plugins folder for you. As for what kind of plugins, I guess I haven't paid enough attention to that...
  7. lol -- was thinking about you as I wrote it; long time, no see.
  8. you don't happen to have Night Vision enabled on a Modular Powersuit, do you? It's a well-known effect that Night Vision causes screwiness when in Pocket Dimensions and Space. Try turning it off and waiting for the timer (on your inventory screen) to count down to zero; then you should be able to see.
  9. Oh, right -- that actually happened to me on a couple of occasions and I never figured out why... but it only happened maybe twice and I've crafted two entire sets of armor, so it wasn't quite to annoying. Sounds like maybe it actually *is* some sort of bug, but an intermittent one.
  10. Are you going to be continuously smelting stuff? In my experience, once you reach equilibrium and have most of the resources processed you're system will only need to process a few things on-demand and the likelihood of that getting interrupted by a network alteration would be slim. Another suggestion would be to use an ME Precision Export Bus along with a Level Emitter to ensure that you always have 1000 (or whatever amount of) iron ingots in stock. It would not be a crafting job and would therefore not get screwed up by network resets. What shows in the crafting monitor when you try to autocraft the armor? Does it think it's missing the resources? Or it just says the armor is crafting but it does nothing?
  11. as far as I know, power armor requires components to be assembled in the Tinker Table so AE can't automate that; but it can certainly automate crafting of all of the components. EDIT: Yeah, I'm an idiot... I was thinking of adding modules, not constructing the actual armor pieces.
  12. you can smelt this. I just like having an excuse to use my Lasers and Assembly Table.
  13. One thing to keep in mind about those results (from the wiki) -- they were generated through sampling, so are the result of probability. The intent of the foci might not be the same, but the results were. I guess I'll have to do some more methodical sampling (if I ever get around to building a Laser Drill) to see if I can pick apart any singular advantage. As for changing the config, sorry I can't be of help there.
  14. but the table will remember multiple selections, right? I'm using only one and if it receives diamond/redstone it will craft the diamond chipset and if it receives gold/redstone it'll craft the gold. As long as it's been activated and you don't throw all three items in at the same time you should be fine. In fact, even if you did throw in enough material for 3 diamond and 3 gold chipsets, it would have enough to make all 6 and the order wouldn't really be that important.
  15. Having followed this discussion (though I've never used LM tanks, yet) it seems that the LM tanks hold much more in the same amount of space.
  16. From everything I've been able to read, there is no conclusive evidence that foci change the likelihood of obtaining Certus Quartz. One source did believe a white focus would work, but most discussions don't even mention certus quartz. That said, it will have the same likelihood of being mined as other ores, so at least you know you should be getting some.
  17. ah, whoops... misread. Thanks, Kotja, for the correction.
  18. if you use NEI it should give you a recipe, but to save you some time, try crafting one iron ingot in the center with 4 coal arranged around in a plus pattern...
  19. for example, on this site, the file names end with '...A652.jar', or '...B652.jar', or '...C652.jar'. It's the ones with a B near the end there that are for MC1.5.2
  20. there's a pretty good summary on the wiki. I like to bring along a Dimensional Door and a Rift Signature that's already activated so that I only need a spaceship the first time.
  21. screenshots? is the power going through the Redstone Energy Cell? Could it be set to only operate on a redstone signal?
  22. I know you said it won't go away no matter what you do, but have you tried F6?
  23. is this enough of a description? http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/tekkit-server-mod-additions.54447/#post-446286 let me know if you find that unclear; it really is pretty straightforward.
  24. so have you tried shutting down all Minecraft related files (including Technic Launcher, etc.) and then just manually deleting your .technic/tekkitmain folder?
  25. (1) wow, way over my level, (2) sorry, just never seen them before.
