  1. I would assume it is -- but that problem you described sounds an awfully lot like running the minecraft_server.jar. If you confirm that you are running BTeam.jar then there must be another cause. Is your server local or hosted somewhere? If hosted, it's possible that the host company is not running the server using the correct file.
  2. when you run your server, you need to use the launch.bat file (and in it, it should call BTeam.jar, *not* the minecraft_server.jar file).
  3. Did you try searching these forums? There are quite a number of posts about this exact question (maybe not Mac, but I'm assuming it's very similar). >Here's one. >Here's another.
  4. well, read the official FAQ -- either you're wrong or they (bdubs/keralis) made some modifications. EDIT: or they used a back-up syringe
  5. To enable more memory, you need to be running 64-bit java. (http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp)
  6. Interesting about the redstone -- I've never tried putting a second redstone modifier on a tool with 50 redstone, but just did and see how that works. So it would appear you *should* be able to continue adding redstone. Have you tried both blocks and dust to see if either allows you to continue adding? And when you put the redstone and the tool in there, does it look like it's working but nothing happens? Or does it actually refuse to show a tool in the 'output'? Edit: doh -- got beat out by your new post. Disregard my questions... Have you tried 'cheating' in a tool to use as a test subject? Perhaps your tool is somehow glitched/busted... Edit 2: when it lists your redstone upgrade, does it read 72/100 ?
  7. Well, more could be going on than I'm aware of, but as I understand it this is essentially a 'beta-testing' or debug phase. The server files for 1.0.10b are out there (first post in this thread), they're just not 'officially' given a thumbs-up as stable and bug-free. And I don't know that you really can give a time-frame on that, as it really depends on what sort of issues crop up. With so many interacting mods, it must be a royal headache to figure out what's interacting with what. It's more of a "use it at your own risk" phase. For those of us playing on a home server with only a couple of players, that's not a bad deal. But I can see how you might not want to go there with a larger server.
  8. Generally, the answer is no. The Technic folks usually frown on these questions (due to everybody wanting to know); you might want to take a look at the forum rules, which specifically address ETAs, >here.
  9. I was under the impression the breeding was just for fun... never realized there was a practical application! Guess I'm going hunting!
  10. Huh...? Please elucidate... what exactly are you doing with wheat???
  11. I don't believe any of us intended to suggest running the .jar file directly; however, thank you for clarifying this for others who might not have understood.
  12. Any chance you are running the 'minecraft_server.jar' file to start your server? You should be running the 'Bteam.jar' file, instead. That's one of the more common problems for first-time server owners.
  13. sorry, was away from home for the past week... for port forwarding, you primarily need the internal IP of your server system (often, something like 192.168.xxx.xxx). Then, go into your router's setup and there should be a place to edit/add port forwarding. Make sure that you tell the router to forward port 25565 (assuming you're using the Minecraft default) to the internal IP of your server. For example, on my router, I had to set up forwarding for TCP from Any port to port 25565 AND I had to set up UDP from Any port to port 25565. Then you tell your friends the external IP of your router (you'll need to check the router for the external or WAN IP address) and they should be able to find it and connect. for an image of exactly what the entry looks like on my router, click here: http://imgur.com/9uYFbcP
  14. looks to be this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sons_of_Ben_(MLS_supporters_association) because I like a good Googling challenge...
  15. two thoughts: (1) try resetting the pack; it's similar to deleting the mod and might knock something loose, so to speak. (2) I know you said you already looked through the button options, but just perhaps double-check that the 'H' key is configured to open the Hats mod? That's what it is by default on my (Windows) system.
  16. This is, personally, my favorite part... though it's all good. My second-favorite part is that it is posted immediately following Terazu's shutdown of the OP.
  17. I believe the default is semicolon (
  18. is there a reason you didn't post this here?
  19. Why is it too hard to use a pulverizer? There are hardly any uses for it, so I can't see you need any large-scale production of Shiny Ingots. Unless I'm missing something...
  20. like Kalbintion said, you'll need to manually add your IP as a server -- assuming you're using the standard port, just put in your internal IP (e.g., 192.168.1.10 or something like that... look it up for the hosting computer).
  21. If you're missing a bunch of blocks on your client it sounds like a possible version mismatch or maybe a piece of the BTeam files didn't properly download. You might try resetting your pack and making sure that the version of the server files and the client you're running are the same (not saying it's likely, but when things aren't working sometimes revisiting the basics is a good idea). If you want to reset the pack, click on the gear beneath B-Team and select the option to 'Reset Pack'. There are a surprising number of threads with the exact issue of mod blocks not placing (or placing/disappearing); every one I've seen has been traced back to running the 'minecraft_server.jar' file. I admit to not even looking at the error logs; I have a hard time picking out useful tidbits most of the time.
  22. if you are running a server and the blocks won't place (except for vanilla items) then it sounds like you're running the minecraft_server.jar file. You should be running the BTeam.jar file. Just edit your launch.sh file (or launch.bat) so that it points to the right file.
  23. the wood ends up coming out variable -- sometimes jungle, sometimes oak, etc. It's an interesting dynamic. In any case, I'm in the middle of setting up my own automated dye/tree farm.
