  1. hmm, that sounds like not enough bandwidth. Have you checked your up/down speeds?
  2. Not directly, though it can be configured to handle them in recipes pretty well. Are you trying to craft anything with liquids, or just storage?
  3. Some of that sounds like permissions issues, at least a little. Are you using permissions plugins at all? One thing that I also tweaked was to set (in the server.properties file): spawn-protection=0, because it mostly just annoys me and gets in the way (which sounds a bit like your ( troubles, only with any tool, not just the wrong tool). But the rest with the excessive clicking is odd; is it just your or also your friends?
  4. and besides that, it's pretty easy to just type in an item name to search for it. once you really get your system together and you have auto-crafting of items you'll find the interface so slick that a quick moment to type in an item name is hardly noticeable.
  5. Old mods just die because their creators/support crew move on. There's not much to be done about it other than become one of the content creators.
  6. is your friend on the same LAN? is your server local? do you have port forwarding set up?
  7. Sure, I'll post. Advice, free of charge -- http://forums.technicpack.net/threads/board-rules-and-guidelines.3918/
  8. Oh, then I think you have a different issue from me. If you can't get over 1GB it means you have 32-bit Java installed. If you have a 64-bit system, you should upgrade. That could already solve your problem. Of course, if you're playing on a Mac that will lead to some other issues, but... maybe you're on a PC?
  9. have you checked your RAM usage at those points? I've also had RAM build up to the point of ridiculous lag. It's not completely consistent, but generally happens within a half hour of playing -- starts out with about 2GB used and creeps up to 6GB, at which point my computer can't cope with it. Not a solution, but just looking for someone to confirm what seems to be happening to me. I'm hopeful that they're working on correcting whatever is going on in the next release.
  10. what version of Tekkit are you playing what kind of system are you on? what do you have them attached to? what are you putting in the steam and combustion engines? do you have images/screenshots?
  11. correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you *want* B:"Meteors Only Fall at Night"=false my intuition is that 'true = only half the time', but Joker's post suggests the opposite.
  12. Here's what I have: http://imgur.com/a/v4cId#0
  13. perhaps you need to set your path?? check this information out: http://java.com/en/download/help/path.xml
  14. maybe this is a dumb question, but are you sure the server is actually running Hexxit? The launch.bat file is actually calling Hexxit.jar and not minecraft_server.jar, right?
  15. I'm sure you really want to play.... wish I could help you. Since I can't, I'll just give you some advice: use the edit link instead of triple posting. oh, and read this.
  16. http://wiki.technicpack.net/Main_Page -- we've been updating it for a while now; would be glad for some help.
  17. first, are you on a PC? second, what version/type of java do you have installed (Java 6/Java 7? 32-bit/64-bit?) and can you share the exact wording of the error and where it shows up... (i.e., is it a dialog box, or are you getting an error in a console window?)
  18. do you mean how to allocate more RAM in the run process? or do you mean to actually physically add RAM to your system? If you mean to simply allocate more, then edit the 'launch.bat' file in your server folder. Mine reads java -Xmx2G -Xms1G -jar Hexxit.jar nogui pause if I understand correctly, that basically allots between 1GB and 2GB of RAM (I'm sure an oversimplified description).
  19. so you're playing on his server? then just delete that folder and see if it helps. unless you're saying that you're hosting a server for him. I just don't understand what your setup is.
  20. have you tried backing up your world then deleting the .technic/hexxit folder?
  21. it sounds like possibly two separate issues: does "Options" still appear at the bottom-left? If so, click on it and: (1) make sure to toggle the setting for Cheat/Utility/Recipe Mode (based on your description, it sounds like you normally play with Cheat Mode enabled) (2) somewhere in the settings should be a setting for Touchscreen mode, which you want off -- that's what makes you have to hold-drag to move items around.
  22. I'd have a look at the bug boards... I think I read some similar issues happening to people over there.
  23. yeah, it's not too complicated. And I think they may have been the most basic gates... but my memory is hazy and I don't use gates that often myself. If you have trouble, just drop another comment here.
  24. 1.1.5 is pretty stable, so you could always select the latest build instead of recommended. The link to the 1.1.5 server files is in the first post.
  25. that's what it looks like to me, based on that list from dwwojcik... did you try it?
