  1. My turtle script waits when it detects a diamond block (compared against an ore block in a particular slot in its storage) so that I can mine it with a fortune pick. Never had a diamond shortage after making that change. If you want a lot there is always the mystcraft dense ores modifier. With 6 turtles and a fortune III pick I got a couple thousand diamonds in a few hours.

    Try loading your map with the latest version of tekkit. The early versions of galacticraft were pretty unstable.
  3. I process mine automatically as well. Was just letting dwwojcik know that it's possible, which might help him/her learn more about AE.
  4. I just tried it with a plain turtle and a mining turtle and it worked fine on all sides. Used a lever to generate the signals. tekkit 1.1.8.

You can do that with the ME interface http://ae-mod.info/ME-Interface/ What you could also do is put a level emitter on an auto pulverizing/smelting setup so that it only keeps a limited amount in storage. It'll still process the ore as you use it, but you won't have to wait for it to pulverize/smelt every time you craft something.
  6. I use steves carts. 9 fuel types for max efficiency. I run 3 reactors off this but had to double the wheat area to break even with seeds. I've also had to cover the whole thing with glass because lightning was destroying my carts.
  7. The base of the tower is at level 37. Sea level in that dimension seems to be 32, so it's not especially high. The other side effect of that ground level is that some of the dungeons which normally appear underground in the overworld are floating in the air in this dimension. Looks pretty crappy.
  8. I've been able to enchant/repair tinkers picks using the enchantment table in SMP, but not any of the the other tools/weapons.
  9. I made my way up a dark tower, which took ages, only to find the top had been chopped off at level 256. No boss battle, no loot Is that an issue with the mod, or is it missing something which allows buildings to be higher?   11. As suggested in the book, you can make steel by smelting chain mail. It has to be undamaged, but you can easily repair it on the anvil with iron. Looks like you only get 1 ingot per piece.

  14. From a google search: "Ok, the way to fix this is to use fn+f11 and get to FULL screen. If it doesnt work, you need to goto your system preferences, keyboard, keyboard shortcuts, and 'un-tick' the desktop shortcut linked to F11.. head back to your MC client and try fn+f11 again, and it should flip it back the right way around. Hope this helps those of you that are stuck with this issue."

  16. Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of better dungeons? Try using some more powerful weapons like holy hand grenades or a blazing bow.
  17. If you dig in a biome with snow most of the water will be ice. It seems this pack is set up to encourage dungeon raiding over mining, but for tinkers construct you still need to mine. I guess if you find enough of those ore bushes from the ravines you could set up a farm and get the metals that way. They don't seem to grow larger like the edible berry bushes though.
  18. Applied Energistics is your friend http://ae-mod.info/ME-Crafting/ Make an assembler and all the required patterns. An me storage bus will get the stone form the DSU. Then you can just tell it to craft the diamonds. I'd make it a separate network if you want to make sure it only uses the cobble as the raw material.
  19. Yep, the cooling system on the torso fixes the heat issue. Once I installed that the only way I can overheat is by spamming the rail gun or flying for long distances. Where the balance is bad IMO is the energy. The kinetic generator keeps the batteries full even when using the jetpack to fly horizontally. I only have 1 hv capacitor and 1 lv capacitor, both set to the minimum and my energy rarely drops from full. The kinetic generator shouldn't create energy while flying. The jetpack should use a lot more energy and generate more heat. The suit is very over powered and too cheap to max out in tekkit.
  20. After getting sick of fiddling about with engines and trying to source lava I switched to bio generators and found them far easier. I went with steves carts for gathering the resources just because it was more fun to build and it looks cooler. This farm gets the 9 types of fuel for the reactor with 3 carts. I only have 1 reactor going but it gives me at least 10x the material I need and could scale 2-3 times larger before warranting extra carts. They're all self powered with the materials being collected by energistics which also exports into the reactor. Pumpkins and melons are exported into auto crafting tables for conversion into seeds. It's very expensive to make it fully self sustaining though. The galgadorian cutter and farmer aren't too bad if you're good with mining (i.e. combined use of turtles and fortune pick), but the huge cost of a galgadorian drill just for harvesting melons and pumpkins does seem a bit ridiculous. The auto-spawner will get a solid workout for that one.
