I too have been playing with fusion, and I may have watched the same tutorial as you and that shit was crazy inefficient I have my own ideas im gonna try on creative before I design a final one for actual use in survival. Have you tried a multi-torus design? Like this but I intend to do a quad torus where the shared edges bleed into one another. and yea I found that you can cover the whole damn thing with water and as long as the setup is turbine - water- magnet- plasma you will get the turbines spinning.

Depends how beginner or advanced do you wanna get, also aiming for 5-10 minute videos may be a better target time 30 mins for something that is supposed to be "simple" is kinda too long, once I understood the concept you were going for I could set it up it about 5 minutes. However I have to say thanks for showing me the distribution pipe I thought that was a Logistics Pipe thing and is super useful for low tech systems.

dash my point was that it is gone, hence they are removing infinite machine loops, therefore don't build a system that relies on them such as the infinite wood loop.
-
True, I was just pointing out the exploitative nature of it, you could always do this same thing legit ways, just like you can set up a blaze farm instead of doing the infinite craft of blaze rods into powder and back.
-
Though magic your issue was more due too the fact you weren't constantly harvesting either, If you have your harvester on all the time and get the trees as the pop you won't have sapling issues, if you only run the farm when you need too you run into issues of trunk merge.

Magic - you can use more than a single block of jungle tree to plant cocoa on, though I imagine you may be speaking of planters not planting but one block, I do the cocoa on 2 trees my self that are 8 blocks tall thats two 8x4 farms of cocoa pretty easily.

1) spruce trees, from 1 stack to filling my farm chests fastest with similar areas to others. Wheat grows slow without water though making less attractive an option. 2) Definitely melons/pumpkins, you don't have to make planters 2 autocrafting tables < 1 planter + wiring. 3) again spruce trees, they have the least likelihood of messing up the growth of the other trees by growing too close. 4) split it between melons and pumpkins cheapest set up no maintenance. 5) Carrots, Wheat, Spruce trees and pumpkins, the first 3 have various uses and the pumpkin just puts out crazy results. Other things to consider that output well, cactus and cocoa, though can't remember if cocoa works in the reactor. @ducky no i have 2 25x25farms, and produce 9 different varieties of plants try again. @Dash each precharger has a capacity of 1000 MJ/t you can't ever get it to max speed with these things without breaking a sever first, once I get my fusion reactors where I want them they are gonna power the drill, at max speed, kinda wanna see how much it can produce.

Birch for some reason uproot other saplings as they grow I think, but im using 11x11 farm of them and still getting a positive cycle of saplings, though it took a looooong time to fill the planter. How small a space are you planting?
-
you can actually get this down to a fraction of the size, the chests are completely useless in the build as are the pumps, your TE devices will auto output into pipe or even just the device next to them. The concept is a bit exploitative, I'm sure the infinite wood thing will get fixed at some point. Here

Goooood gooood late the hate flow through you...

Thing is emerald only appears in extreme hills, and its probobly about 3 per chunk in my experience

Every question I find an answer for about AS I end up with 5 more questions. I've seen some videos (certainly of older builds) where the steam from reactors traveled a couple blocks up allowing for more turbines, currently you can only get a turbine spinning with 1 water block+1 electromagnet away from a square with plasma. Is this the new intended behaviour or an issue? Is this question more appropriate at Cav's AS board(which last I visited seemed barren) ? Given the current situation with it, and this may be unintelligible to anyone else feel free to ignore this part, a single toroidal reactor design can only seem to output 138mj/t and requests 200mj/t thus not creating a positive power cycle till it is stopped this seems silly as the damn things cost so much to build and set up having to do a less than 1 stack of fuel cycle to optimize power positive cycles would be crazy, so given this is a single toroid intended to be power positive? Is the reactor going to output the same value of energy with less input? It seems to run on 138 mj/t just fine but then why does the damn thing request 200, UGH without robust documentation this mod is frustrating as shit. ugh I might just be too tired for this shit, in better news, no errors in sight and multimeter works great. Also steam funnel does nothing that I can tell. again don't know if it is a known bug or not with AS.

To answer My own question from earlier to anyone else who has it, Redstone conduit will NOT pull power from the side of an atomic science turbine only from the top. Will test multimeter immediately. Multimeter works again no problem, and to answer another question of my own, Fusion reactors require at maximum 200mj a tick.
-
TE multimeter is still broken. EDIT: also anyone know if redstone conduit can pull power from the side of an atomic science turbine? it appears to make the connection thing im not sure if it can pull power, would make my builds slightly less ugly if that works.

So for the moment there is intended to be no interface between Copper wire and TE/MJ systems correct? the wire is for crafting only atm or doing closed loop reactor to UE machine only. making sure I'm not missing some other item. other than that no issues so far.
-
TE has me so spoiled, during the 1.1.0 version which had mekanism, I hated having to use a tool to fix what side was what slot interally, because it meant tearing up my power lines and other machines to do it.

Fertilizer machine/harvester/planter not working...
TokiWartooth replied to trav's topic in Tekkit Discussion
reminds me of the time my mom was planting a huge bunch of oak trees for wood, like 6 of the sprouted at the same time and trapped her. -
Did you totally remove java before you reinstalled it? and which version did you install? This sounds like a java issue not a tekkit one all the warnings and shit you posted are ignorable. Also IDK what configs are changed but my console dosen't start when I launch tekkit, you may be trying to run an actual server at the same time you are running a client this would be your problem because it wants to allocate 3gigs to each. SSP "servers" are integrated with the client so they use a smaller footprint. I recommend backing up your world and re downloading everything.

would have to say though, if someone added a kitchen-craft mod that added more food recipies and beverage stuff I would like it, Lethosos' drunkcraft project sounds really good for one.

Please pastebin that or something.

Thanks for the info on the milk, figured out how to make them, also hope powercrystals makes chocolate milk bottles soon, as I would enjoy it if that stuff wasn't just visually cool. Interesting stuff about how liquids are coded from this.

BaconJim, you don't craft linking books the same way anymore, you have to craft an ink mixer to make linking pages then make a unattuned link book at the book binder, then use the unattuned linking book where you want to link it too. Hope that helps I had the same issue for a bit.

I was lead to believe dim anchors were better but ok, maybe it will work If I put a spot loader on the quarry block itself? Interesting stuff, I wanted to stock my kitchens pantry in game, and make some milk bottles, so I poured out a bucket of milk to fill from, apparently this makes water bottles? also milk gives the haste effect - intended?

May or not be an issue on game restart mystcraft worlds with chunk loaders(read:quarry) are not loading on their own, once visited the chunks will keep loaded but won't load without it.
